1 Rome, Italy
First things first: meet your Trip Leader and prepare to step back to 753 BC in one of the world's oldest open-air museums on a walking tour. Along the way, we'll pass by the Pantheon, throw our two cents in the Trevi Fountain, sit on the Spanish Steps and visit the mighty Colosseum. Tonight, you're in Disneyland for foodies. Have fun! (D)
2 Rome including Vatican City Visit
Create the ultimate Roman Holiday in one day with a whirlwind of Vespas, espresso, two-cheek kisses and pizza the way it's supposed to taste. Count your blessings on an optional tour of Vatican City, then play ‘I-spy' with two-and-a-half millennia worth of history. Want more? You could always shop till you drop on Via Condotti, head to Capitoline Hill for awesome views of the Roman Forum and Colosseum or just kick back in Piazza Navona for some dolce far niente (delicious idleness). (B)
3 Rome to Amalfi Coast
We'll kick off the day with a pit stop at UNESCO World Heritage Site (and famous ancient city) Pompeii, which was abruptly buried by a volcanic eruption one evening in 79AD. After an optional guided tour and a chance to grab a bite to eat, we'll move on to the Amalfi Coast. Get your bearings, feast at a local restaurant, then kick back and soak up the atmosphere. (B/D)
4 Amalfi Coast
The day is all yours. Why not head to the Isle of Capri to see the famous Blue Grotto or set off down the Amalfi Coast to Positano on a local bus? Tonight: follow the sound of live music and load up on carbs at a local joint of your choosing. It's a tough life... (B)
5 Amalfi Coast to Assisi
Down that cappucino - we're off to Assisi! See the frescoes at the St Francis Basilica with a local guide before splitting off to explore the 14th-century streets on your own. Dinner's on us tonight. (B/D)
6 Assisi to Florence
Next stop: Siena. A local guide will show you around the city's many Renaissance sights before you get set free to explore. Psst - we'll need you to cover up as we're entering a sacred site! Tonight, prepare to take Florence by storm. (B)
7 Florence
First today: a local Chianti wine tasting and an al fresco dinner in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Then: Renaissance beauty meets Italian style. Florence has more stories than Bilbo Baggins, more culture than a Shoreditch hipster, over 1,800 restaurants, AND it gave the world gelato. Say ciao to cheeky David, then strut along the Ponte Vecchio, gelato in hand. (B/D)
8 Florence to La Spezia
Bye, Florence! This morning it's on to the walled-in town of Lucca for a walking tour. And after that? It's onwards to Pisa for THAT shot with the famous Leaning Tower. We'll hit up stunning Cinque Terre for a feast together later on this evening. (B/D)
9 La Spezia
The five cliff-side villages of Cinque Terre didn't end up on the World Heritage list for nothing. And each has a vibe of its own. Completely void of corporate development and full of quirks, this is a place where la dolce vita is not so much encouraged as enforced. And it comes with a world-class glass of red. Not bad, huh? (B)
10 La Spezia to Venice
We'll spend some time cruising Lake Garda (the largest lake in Italy) before rolling on to Verona - where Romeo fell in love with Juliet. A walking tour will help you get your bearings! Tonight: time to explore Venice, where a delicious dinner awaits. (B/D)
11 Venice
You know it as The Floating City, but this place is actually sinking (slowly). Today we'll check out a who's who of Venice's usual suspects on a guided walking tour (ticking off the likes of St Mark's Square and Accademia Bridge) before rounding things off with a traditional gondola ride. Need suggestions for this afternoon? Insider tip: spend some time seeking out the epic Libreria Acqua Alta bookshop (or just go on a mission to find the perfect gelato). (B)
12 Venice to Rome
Orvieto is next. We'll check out the grand cathedral and dig into a wild boar panini before hitting the road back to Rome. End your day in true Italian fashion: in a carb-induced coma at a local trattoria. It'd be rude not to! (B/D)
13 Rome
You're on your own from here. Why not spend a few more days in this epic city and get to know it a little better? (B)

“Fast paced trip through many locations in Italy”
- VIC, Australia Aug 2017 3 Helpful Votes

Bravo Italia was a fantastic tour that included 16 stops around Italy. This is not for someone looking for a leisurely holiday - every bus day had stops at towns with walking tours and then time for lunch along with a group dinner once you arrived in your location, and most free days had included walking tours or activities that took up most of the morning. If you are looking to see as much as you can in as little time as possible I would recommend this. Our trip leader was highly more
