Itinerary

Arrive into Amman Jordan and transfer to the Dead Sea where your journey into wonder begins. Enjoy a two night Special Stay at your resort on the shores of the Dead Sea. Relax and enjoy sweeping views over the Dead Sea and across to Israel from your balcony. Join your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner and toast the beginning of a wonderful journey. Sundowners Enjoy drinks and canapés as the sun sets over the magnificent Dead Sea. Enjoy the facilities of your resort including direct access to the sea. Spoil yourself and allow the staff to lather you in therapeutic mud, or float in the hypersaline waters of the Dead Sea, while reading a book or newspaper. (B)

Visit Madaba, discover the famous mosaic map of the Holy Land, and visit the Madaba Institute for Mosaic Art and Restoration. Travel in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia as you discover the dramatic desert landscapes of Wadi Rum where you will feel like you have stepped onto the moon during your Special Stay in the luxurious Bubble tents of the Wadi Rum UFO Luxotel. Explore Lawrence Road and marvel at the vistas of ancient valleys and towering weathered sandstone mountains rising out of the pink and white sands, before lunch at a Bedouin Camp. At Bethany Beyond the Jordan, see where Jesus was baptised, then view the memorial to Moses at Mount Nebo and continue to the Rose Red City of Petra for your two night stay. Discover the intriguing history of Israel’s mountainous region as you drive to Caesarea, the Roman capital of Judea. You will have the chance to view the archaeological discoveries of the Crusader city and the Roman port, including a restored amphitheatre and aqueduct. Later, proceed to your hotel for the next two nights. This evening enjoy seasonal local ingredients in dishes that pay homage to the Christian-Arab cuisine of the region at Magdalena. (B/D)

Your first look at the scenic region of Galilee will be on a tranquil boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Continue to the biblical village of Capernaum, and then proceed to the place of the miracle of multiplication of the loaves and fishes, Tabgha. On Galilee’s north-western shores, visit the Mount of Beatitudes. Continue to Kibbutz Ein Gev and learn about the unique kibbutz community.
