Begin your unforgettable adventure in the historic Flemish city, Bruges. Next venture to the port city of Amsterdam for your all-inclusive cruise through the heart of Germany and finishing in beautiful Switzerland.

Itinerary

Welcome to Bruges, the historic Flemish city that was founded in the 9th century by the Vikings. Upon arrival you will check into your wonderfully located hotel. A group transfer from Brussels International Airport will depart at 2pm, please schedule your flights to arrive prior to this time. Any transfers outside this time can be arranged but will be at an additional cost.

Explore the beautifully preserved medieval centre with your local guide. Meander through the cobbled laneways that reveal charming town squares and enjoy a tasting of local Belgian beer while learning about the fascinating history of this ancient town.

Depart Bruges after breakfast and travel to Amsterdam, where you will join your luxurious Scenic Space-Ship (B/D)

Freechoice: Explore Amsterdam on a guided walking tour pausing along the way to sample the Dutch favourite, herring. Or cruise the iconic canals that have made Amsterdam world famous. Alternatively, if you’re feeling more active, join a guided cycling tour or, discover charming Volendam, with its unusual raised homes and quaint wooden church, before heading to the equally charming village of Edam. Freechoice: Enjoy a scenic ride on the oldest cog railway in Germany and discover splendid Drachenburg Castle, or stroll through Cologne and get up close to the filigree twin towers of the famous cathedral. Alternatively, stay on board for a beer tasting, or learn the history of one of the city’s most famous namesake, Eau de Cologne on a guided tour. (B/L/D)

Freechoice: Take a guided tour of Koblenz, straddling two of Europe’s most beautiful rivers. Alternatively, discover Cochem – a true medieval gem resting on the banks of the Moselle River. Cochem will make you feel as if you’re stepping straight into a fairytale and you’ll be able to explore this charming city on a guided tour including a visit to Reichsburg Castle. Arrive in charming Baden Baden, a spa town famous for its Roman baths. Freechoice: Join your local guide on a tour of this picturesque town and tour the ruins of the Roman baths that have made this city famous, or take an active hike to Hohenbaden Castle. Alternatively, visit the Mercedes-Benz factory, or enjoy a visit to a thermal spa. (B/L/D)

Freechoice: Visit Strasbourg, discover La Petite France and stroll through the Old Town with its half-timbered houses and distinctive Alsatian winstubs. Alternatively, journey to Mittelbergheim in the Alsace and sample some of the best wines the region has to offer. Disembark and transfer to Vevey, home to Charlie Chaplin once he’d fled the United States. Enter the world of Charlie Chaplin as you meet one of the 20th century’s most celebrated artists during a visit to the Chaplin’s World Museum. This afternoon you’ll get the chance to luxuriate at your hotel located on the shores of picturesque Lake Geneva, where you’ll be enjoying a two night stay. (B)

Enrich: Delight in a panoramic train journey to Château-d’Œx. Upon arrival witness traditional cheese-making at the Restaurant Le Chalet. The cheesemaker will transform milk into a hard cheese right in front of your eyes. At the end of the demonstration you’ll have an opportunity to taste the freshly made cheese. (B/L)

Ascend the Swiss Alps to the breathtaking village of Gstaad. Then continue to the Swiss capital, Bern for your overnight stay. (B)

Journey to Lucerne, overlooked by the magnificent Swiss Alps and discover this charming town on an orientation tour with your Tour Director before continuing to Zurich.
