Itinerary

Welcome on board Scenic Eclipse and to the start of an unforgettable voyage. After a warm greeting by the crew as you step aboard Scenic Eclipse, acquaint yourself with the exceptional range of facilities on board your ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht. You may wish to consult the provided butler service and the pillow menu to ensure every detail is in place for a sound night’s sleep. This evening, toast the start of your voyage with a glass of France’s finest in one of the nine bars and lounges on board.

Compass Cay is a small tranquil island in the Exuma Cays. Scenic Eclipse is one of the very few to visit this secluded retreat. From the marina deck, explore pristine beaches and coves, serenely gliding over water is so clear you can see straight to the bottom. It’s also perfect for snorkelling. If you prefer not to get wet, it’s possible to see an array of fish and docile nurse sharks from the marina.

There’s nature, bird life, marine life and generally a blissful pace to this paradisical island. Replenish after a day in and out of the water with a sumptuous meal in one of the dining experiences on board Scenic Eclipse. Tropical island beauty at every turn, the panoramic views from the Vitality Pool on the Sky Deck may just be your perfect way to unwind. Great Exuma Island, part of the stunning Exuma archipelago in the Bahamas, is a hidden gem inaccessible to larger cruise ships. Welcome to San Salvador Island, one of the smallest inhabited islands in The Bahamas. Scenic Eclipse will dock at Cockburn Town (pronounced ko-burn). Unique in the archipelago, San Salvador is revered for its many sparkling inland lakes, historic monuments and stretches of secluded sandy beaches.

It’s famed for being the location of Christopher Columbus’ first sighting of the Americas in 1492 during his first voyage, which is commemorated with a simple white cross. Enjoy a day at the beach, in the ocean snorkelling, or paddling in a kayak or by stand up paddleboard. As the sun begins to sink, enjoy a cocktail on the Sky Deck as the colours above blend from shades of yellow to orange and red while seamlessly sailing away. (B/L/D)

Long Island is considered the hidden gem in a country of over 700 heavenly islands. It is easily discovered on foot or by bike. In the charming Clarence Town, climb the 40-foot twin church towers for incredible 360-degree views. At the southern end of the island awaits a masterpiece scene that only Mother Nature can deliver. Gordon's Beach features long, powdery-white sands lapped by waters every shade of blue from the palest aquamarine to the deepest ocean indigo. Set against a stunning backdrop of lush greenery and rocky cliffs, it’s postcard perfect. Surrender to the calm, clear waters that beckon you to take a dip before returning to ultra-luxury on board. The southernmost island in The Bahamas, Great Inagua is less than 90-kilometres from Cuba. It’s rarely visited by cruises and largely uninhabited, making this feel truly special. Here, the snow white salt fields contrast the forest green habitats which shelter over 140 species of native and migratory birds.

Inagua National Park, which covers almost half of the island and is home to over 80,000 flamingos, as well as rare reptiles, such as the Bahamian boa and Inagua curly-tailed lizard. Weather and aviation controls permitting, take an optional scenic flight in one of two helicopters^ on board for an unparalleled view of island’s contrasts and of the largest salt industry in North America. The small Virgin Gorda island, less than 22 square kilometres, is feted for its unspoiled beaches. Regarded as one of the British Virgin Island’s most beautiful, it’s said that Christopher Columbus named it the ‘Fat Virgin’ because the island’s profile looks like a woman lying on her side. Famed for The Baths, the granite boulder formations create a scenic network of tide pools and grottoes that are open to the sea. Discover lush walking trails, nature sanctuaries and an incredible view from Gorda Point. This evening, perhaps taste some of the 100 varieties of aged whiskey at the Scenic Lounge Bar. (B/L/D)

Founded by France in 1648, St. Barts is a favourite of celebrities who love to indulge at its waterfront cafes, designer boutiques and stunning beaches. With French and Swedish influences, the French-speaking island has an impressive marina surrounded by hills dotted with red peaked roofs.

The best view is from above. Take an optional helicopter flight^ in one of two helicopters on board Scenic Eclipse. With a late departure, there’s time to visit bars, enjoy a meal at a high-end restaurant and soak in the glamorous environs of St Barts. One of the best vantage points to watch life in the marina is from the Sky Bar. Scenic Eclipse’s sleek design is likely to garner attention to passerbys. (B/L/D)

Black sandy beaches, turtles gliding in the sea, and volcanic history are just a few things waiting in Montserrat. Known as the Pompei of the Caribbean, Montserrat was left covered in volcanic ash after the Soufrière Hills Volcano reawakened in 1995 after 400 years of dormancy and erupted continuously for two years. The informative Soufrière Hills Volcano Observatory also offers incredible views. The rugged, lush landscapes is for great hiking and there are nine main trails.

The new capital, Little Bay, is bustling with new construction, and it’s where you can visit the National Museum and National Trust. A French overseas territory known for its low-key lifestyle, Îles des Saintes is a cluster of islets off the southern coast of Guadeloupe. It’s made up of a miniature volcanic archipelago of idyllic islands, five of which remain uninhabited. Commonly known as Les Saintes, the island is one of Guadeloupe’s crown jewels. Encapsulated by reef, the isles offer the best of both worlds, French sophistication and the funky relaxed style for which the Caribbean is renowned.

Snorkellers can expect to spot parrot fish, sunfish, scrawled cowfish, groupers, and more. It’s also abundant with sea birds including the magnificent frigatebird, pelicans, cormorants, and a number of boobies including the brown, masked, red-footed booby and blue-footed booby. The views of the cluster of isles are magnificent and can be enjoyed from your private verandah or at the Sky Bar with a drink in hand as the sun sinks below the horizon. (B/L/D)

Known as the “Jewel in the Crown” of the Southern Grenadines, Tobago Cays Marine Park comprises five picture-perfect, uninhabited islands surrounded by extensive coral reefs. From the marina of Scenic Eclipse, kayak or explore by stand up paddleboard around the islands to discover pretty coves and secluded beaches. Snorkelling is a popular pursuit with teeming marine life and coral in the Marine Park. Scenic Eclipse is fitted with GPS Dynamic Positioning that allows the yacht to maintain its location without dropping anchor onto the sensitive seabed.
