Itinerary

There are no activities planned until the evening welcome meeting.

With time, opt to head out of town and visit the open air museum of Traditional Folk Civilization. (B)

Journey on to Sighisoara through a route that winds through beautiful old german villages. After arriving in Sighisoara, take a tour of the old town, and learn about the birth story of Vlad "The Impaler". Opt to sample some Romanian cuisine—the Casa Dracula (original home of Vlad) is now a restaurant specializing in hearty meat and game dishes of the region. (B)

Stop for a visit at Rupea citadel, a 14th century fortress, en route to Brasov. On arrival, head out for an orientation walk and explore this quaint town's baroque architecture and beautiful squares. (B)

Come in costume to a party at Bran Castle, rumoured to be a one of the most haunted places in Europe. After a guided tour of the castle by Dracula himself, party well into the night…if you dare! (B/D)

Enjoy free time to explore Bucharest's many attractions, including one of its best museums, the Museum of the Romanian Peasant. Opt to explore the Soviet-esque architecture, the beautiful cathedral, or indulge in the city's international cuisine. (B)
