A visit to this one-of-a-kind cinematic city is a frantic, fascinating feast for the senses. Liberally scattered with familiar landmarks, world-leading museums, and with an atmosphere and infectious energy found nowhere else.

Whether arriving or departing, aboard your cruise liner you can take in the stunning view of the New York skyline. There are three cruise ship terminals in New York City, the Manhattan cruise terminal located in Hell’s Kitchen, the Brooklyn cruise terminal located in the Red Hook neighbourhood and the Cape Liberty cruise port located in the Port of New York and New Jersey.

Whichever ship you decide on you can choose from a refreshing variety of pools and whirlpools - each heated to just the right temperature. Queen Mary 2 offers two outdoor pools and her Pavilion Pool has a retractable roof so you can enjoy a dip whatever the weather and her luxurious Spa Pool is a treat.

Arrives: 7:00 AM Departs: 5:00 PM

Discover a touch of old Amsterdam transported to an island paradise. The capital of the Caribbean island Curacao, Willemstad is famous for its technicolour UNESCO World Heritage Site city centre. Ships will dock at the port.

Top Things to Do in Willemstad:

  • explore Christoffel National Park
  • snorkel in Caracas Bay
  • ride the trolley train through Willemstad
  • relax on Cas Abao Beach
  • visit the Hato Caves
  • join an underwater tour in a semi-submarine

A day at sea offers a world of experiences, all tailored to your pace and preferences. Enjoy a refreshing dip in one of the heated pools or take in expansive ocean views with a few laps of Promenade Deck. Relax at the Mareel® Wellness & Beauty spa, with rejuvenating treatments inspired by the ocean. Partake in a guided gin tasting or attend a classical concert.

Indulge in gourmet meals at the grand Britannia Restaurant, sip champagne at sunset or enjoy a cocktail by the pool. Choose from an array of entertainment options, including stage shows, live bands, and late-night dancing. Play a round of paddle tennis, table tennis, golf putting, and shuffleboard. Younger guests will also stay entertained at one of four dedicated children’s clubs, ensuring fun for the whole family.

Arrives: 5:00 AM Departs: 7:00 PM

The Panama Canal, a marvel of engineering, links the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, facilitating global maritime trade. Stretching approximately 80km/50mi, this intricate waterway features three locks - Miraflores, Pedro Miguel, and Gatun - that elevate and lower vessels to overcome the variation in sea levels.

The Miraflores Locks' visitor center offers an insightful experience, allowing observers to witness massive ships navigating the locks. The Gatun Locks, a crucial part of the canal, showcase the impressive process of raising and lowering water levels to enable the passage of ships.

Traversing the Panama Canal provides a firsthand glimpse into the intricate operations that have shaped international shipping for over a century.

Whether you're an absolute beginner or simply keen to perfect your steps you'll love the opportunity to join the variety of dance classes on offer. Available on voyages of 7 nights or more, classes are lead by coupled instructors and include ballroom as well as Latin and line dance. And when evening falls, what better way to showcase your new moves than in the chandeliered grandeur of the Queens Room?

Arrives: 9:00 AM Departs: 6:00 PM

Manzanillo, situated on Mexico’s Pacific coast, is renowned for its status as the "Sailfish Capital of the World," hosting international fishing tournaments that highlight its vibrant marine life. The city's dual bays, Bahía de Manzanillo and Bahía de Santiago, are lined with beautiful beaches and busy ports, reflecting a dynamic blend of leisure and commerce.

Beyond its famous fishing scene, Manzanillo’s history is evident in the city centre, where traditional architecture and local markets offer a glimpse into the area’s cultural fabric. Ecotourism in the region thrives, with the lush vegetation of the Sierra Madre Occidental providing a backdrop for activities such as bird watching and hiking.

It couldn't be easier to meet people on board. The ship's social host ensures that guests need never feel out of place, enabling solo travellers to make connections at specially hosted coffee gatherings and dinner tables, and also a range of daytime activities. Indeed, before your invitation to the 'Welcome Cocktail Party' arrives, there's every chance you'll already have met the perfect company to share in the excitement.

Arrives: 9:00 AM Departs: 11:00 PM

Los Angeles, a sprawling Southern California city, is famed not only for its influence on the entertainment industry but also for its diverse cultural offerings and sunny coastline. Highlights include the Getty Center, where art and stunning architecture meet in an expansive hilltop setting, and the historic Griffith Observatory, which offers panoramic views of the city and beyond.

For those disembarking mid-morning, a stroll through the vibrant streets of Santa Monica or a visit to the eclectic Venice Beach Boardwalk provides a perfect slice of local life. Both are excellent spots to enjoy the quintessential SoCal sun, sand, and surf, complete with shops, street performers, and seaside eateries.

Discover new ways to learn and grow with the remarkable guest speakers and classes we host on board. During your voyage, you may be joined by some famous faces with fascinating stories to share - perhaps a famous writer, actor or musician or possibly an eminent scientist, explorer or politician.

Arrives: 10:30 AM

The Port of San Francisco annually hosts more than 80 cruise ships at the James R. Herman Cruise Terminal (Pier 27) and nearby Pier 35. The terminal is in a prime location, with easy access to popular attractions including Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, the Ferry Building and Union Square.

One of the most spectacular things about cruising from San Francisco is passing under the Golden Gate Bridge. Make sure you are on the lido deck for the sailaway party. It’s certainly a ‘hold your breath’ moment as the ship sails under the bridge.

Amazing First trip on Queem Mary 2 Transatantic Southampton to New York   0 , CT, United States, Oct 2025

Our cruise was beyond expectations 0 , MA, United States, Sep 2025
Hayley Lounds at Global Journeys was exceptional in handling any issues we raised prior to cruise. Having experienced a number of European River cruises we were delighted with the high standards onboard. Fabulous state room, excellent quality food. Congratulations to all involved. Looking forward to next cruise.
Cruise - 7 nights on Queen Mary 2 Norwegian Fjords 0 , QLD, Australia, Jul 2025
The cruise went very well and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were pleasantly surprised with priority check-in at the Cruise Ship, having booked a Club Balcony Stateroom. Meals were excellent and the tours we picked were also excellent. Staff on board were also excellent. Loved the scenery of Norway. Enjoyed Cunard except for being on the 13th read more floor, overall it was good, just it was difficult to be able to get to the 13th floor as there were only 2 lifts available that would go to that level floor. It meant a lot of walking around to get to restaurants, etc. There needs to be more clear signage as well on the ship to get from A to B. Tracey was very good, everything went smoothly. Information received was clear and it was easy to get to Cunard Portal for bookings, etc. This is only the second time we have used Global Journeys and would do so again.
Iconic transatlantic voyage experience   11 , QLD, Australia, Jun 2024
We absolutely loved our Queen Mary 2 Southampton to New York transatlantic crossing. Everything was perfect. We felt the food was higher quality than our experience of other cruise ships and the staff were far more attentive and seemed happier. The quality of the lectures was outstanding. We had lectures from Mensun Bound from Oxford University on his read more expedition which found Shackleton’s ship the Endurance I. Antarctica. Other lectures on the Concord by an ex Concord pilot were also outstanding and lectures about the history of espionage. All outstanding.

The ship itself is older but has been refurbished so is excellently maintained. We actually loved the size of the ship. It was large enough to contain all of the usual amenities but it was significantly smaller than some so we found it excellent to get around and feel like we were close to everything. One of the best aspects is that for the number of passengers there are a huge number of quiet spaces that you could go to if you want to be on your own bit equally there was always somewhere buzzing if you were chasing that.

We loved the gala nights - one was red and gold theme and the other was masquerade. It was lovely seeing everyone’s outfits and watching so many great ballroom dancers. However, it was not stuffy at all. We can’t really dance but we were made to feel welcome and it was fine for us to just do our low level shuffling or more modern dance style - anything goes really.

Another highlight was the afternoon tea everyday. Just lovely! Each day was a different musician - string quartet / pianist / cellist etc. the white glove service of fresh sandwiches, beautiful pastries, and scones was just so lovely. All day room service is also included I. The regular price and we really enjoyed this on a couple of occasions.

Apart from this, the whole reality that you are crossing the Atlantic and thoughts of where we were in relation to the Titanic made this a really poignant cruise experience.

Finally, the final approach into New York was just incredible. Under the bridge with the funnels just clearing, followed by cruising past the Statue of Liberty, and finally seeing that Manhattan skyline is an unbeatable way to arrive in New York. We absolutely loved it!!!!
Sydney To Southampton (Centenary World Voyage) 26 , VIC, Australia, Mar 2023
The cruise was very good all the staff was terrific. The food was out of this world you would not go hungry. Entertainment very good. The drinks were a bit expensive, a bit surprised as they charge a % fee for service charge. The drinks package was too much you would be an alcoholic by the time you reached UK. We will be going again with Cunard cruises read more and thank you for your help.
