Book online and enjoy exclusive savings on Contiki's 8 Day Rottnest Island & Margaret River. Kicking off with the laid-back charms of Perth, this western adventure is all about beautiful beaches, coastal walks and glamping under the stars. Along the way we'll hit up the bohemian harbourside town of Fremantle, the unforgettable Rottnest Island (where you can snap a selfie with a cheeky quokka) and the gorgeous coastlines of Dunsborough, where we'll beach hop to our heart's content.

Itinerary

Welcome to Perth! Feel the breeze of the Indian Ocean, gaze at the piercing blue sky and get ready to uncover simple pleasures of world class beaches, beautiful parks and an unforgettable foodie scene. We'll get acquainted with the city with a walking tour with your trip manager, including King's Park, a gorgeous green space that overlooks the Swan River. Regrouping along the waterfront as the evening draws in, we'll enjoy a free night where we canwatch the sunset together, bathing in the warm glow of the perfect start to our adventure. We're hopping on the train today to explore the hipster haven of Fremantle. Arriving in Fremantle we'll have ample time to explore this bohemian coastal town, including the famous markets. This place is alive with craft breweries, boutiques and amazing restaurants. If you're not content exploring in a daze, opt for a tour of the Little Creatures Brewery, which makes some of the most famous craft beer in the world, or take the Fremantle Prison tour. The evening is ours to explore some restaurants and bars.

It's the day we've all been waiting for. We're hopping on a ferry to Rottnest Island today. Welcome to 'Rotto', a slice of paradise free from traffic and abundant with incredible beaches, coastal walks and wildlife. We'll have heaps of optional activities today, including a seafood lunch cruise or skydiving.

If you're not up for all that, there's plenty of opportunity to explore, cycling around the gorgeous trails, snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters or heading to the Pinky's Beach Club to unwind. Then we'll have a free evening to relax, sip some cocktails and look forward to the adventures ahead. Our accommodation tonight? Luxe glamping, where we'll swap stories under the stars before turning in for the night in our plush eco-tents. Stay: Rottnest Island Discovery Glamping

We've got a free day to explore Rottnest today. Been waiting to get that iconic selfie with a cheeky Quokka? Now's your chance. These tiny marsupials are well known for their adorable smiles, so make sure you get a snap. The rest of the day is all yours to snorkel, swim eat and repeat. Then it's back to our Special Stay for more glamping bliss. What a day. (B)

After our ferry back to Fremantle we're heading south today along that incredible coastline. On the way to Dunsborough we'll stop off at the Busselton jetty, a 155 year old heritage listed jetty which stretches for 1.8km. After taking a stroll along the iconic boardwalk, we'll head back on the coach. Welcome to Dunsborough, one of the most laid-back places in Australia. And what is there to worry about when you've got beaches like these? We'll enjoy a free evening exploring maybe checking out the local pub for some live tunes before turningin for the night. (B) Stay: Dunsborough Central Motel

Rise and shine: we've got an incredible cultural experience to sink our teeth into this morning. The Kaya Cape experience will show us the deep connection the indigenous Wadandi people have with the Cape to Cape region. We'll walk around the lighthouse with an indigenous custodian, before huddling around for a didgeridoo music session.

After a rewarding morning, the rest of the day is all about beach-hopping around this paradise coastline. We'll enjoy the turquouise watersand stretching sands. There's options to go Stand Up Paddle Boardingdo part of the Cape to Cape trackor visit the Ngilgi cave. Then regroup for a BBQ dinner, a perfect way to end the perfect day. (D)

Today is the day we finally get to visit the famous Margaret River Wine region. This place has everything you could ever want - wine, food and beer. Why not have a go blending your own wine, or finally learn the difference between Sauvignon Blanc and a Chardonnay? We've got lunch covered - you focus on the beautiful landscape and excellent company. A free night awaits for us back in Dunsborough where we can reminisce about all the amazing memories we've made the past week. (L)

It's time to head to where it all started, but not before one final adventure, as we stop off at the gorgeous beachside holiday haven of Bunbury, where we'll try and spot dolphins arcing on the horizon. Back in Perth and our trip is over, but we'll never forget this west coast adventure. Swap details and start planning future trips together, maybe even in another continent next time…
