Your hosts Jamie and Sheena will help you master the ways of the wild, as you get a fascinating insight into Wales' rich history and culture. You'll return home with some killer new insta pics, foraged wonders, artisan mastercrafts you've crafted yourself, and a relaxed smile plastered on your face.
Itinerary
Welcome to Corwen! Arriving at the Iron Age hill fort today we'll settle into our luxe glamping bell tents, enjoying copious blankets, cushions and a log burner to keep us cosy no matter the weather. We'll bond over some traditional tea and Welsh cakes before enjoying a traditional Welsh feast, home-cooked by our hospitable host Sheena while local storyteller Fiona Collins, tells us tales of Welsh folklore around the campfire. What a cultural feast: and we're not done yet. (D) Stay: The Forge, Corwen
After a delicious breakfast this morning - and some more tea, naturally - it's time for our first invigorating yoga class, set within the large log cabin. After a light lunch we're headed to the nearby town of Llangollen for a Stand Up Paddle boarding experience, where we'll master the tranquil waters and soak up all of that scenery. As the evening draws in, it's time for some wood-fired pizzas back at the hill fort, before being led on a stargazing walk under North Wales' sparkling night skies. (B/D)
After breakfast today Sheena will teach us all about nature’s bounty on a guided foraging walk around her 20 acre smallholding. We'll use our foraged ingredients to create a gift to take home, such as herb oils, fruit preserves or wild pesto, depending on the season. Then it's time for a hands-on dinner! Pick your veg from the kitchen garden and cook a feast together around the campfire. What a way to end on a high. (B/L/D)
We'll say our sad farewells over one last Welsh breakfast this morning. It's sad to say goodbye, but we've never felt more refreshed. (B)
