Welcome to Vietnam and bustling Hanoi! Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure before this evening's group welcome dinner. (D) Special Experiences: A tradition dating back to the 11th century in northern Vietnam, we'll enjoy a water puppetry performance by a local renowned puppet master where we will go behind the scenes.
An early start this morning to discover Hanoi as the city awakens. We'll visit the flower market, the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and finish our tour with a Vietnamese breakfast and coffee. Special Experiences: Walk along the ‘Rail Tracks of Hanoi' and explore a rarely seen side of Vietnam's capital. We meet the locals and see how they have adapted to daily life just metres from the trains. This afternoon our sightseeing highlights include the Presidential Palace, the beautiful Temple of Literature and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. (B/L)
4 Hanoi - Halong Bay
Today we travel to breathtaking Halong Bay, to board our overnight cruise. After a decadent Vietnamese lunch, we'll sail past amazing limestone rock formations and have the opportunity to discover hidden caves by boat or kayak. Relax with a sundowner this evening and enjoy the incredible views as the sun sets. (B/L/D)
5 Halong Bay - Hanoi - Hoi An
This morning you might like to take part in a tai chi lesson on the sundeck or just sit back and relax as we cruise. We'll explore Surprise Cave after breakfast. Return to Hanoi after brunch to fly to Danang and transfer to Hoi An. (B/Brunch)
6 Hoi An
We begin the day with a walking tour of charming Hoi An. Highlights include the Culture & History Museum, the famous Japanese covered bridge and a historic, UNESCO Heritage-listed house. (B/D) Special Experiences: Visit the colourful local market before taking a short cruise along the Hoi An River to the secluded Red Bridge Cooking School for an aromatic and informative cooking class (cruise subject to prevailing water levels).

8 Hoi An - Saigon
This morning we fly to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). In the afternoon we'll take a walking tour of the bustling metropolis. Highlights include the Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office and Opera House. We'll also visit the Presidential Palace and the moving War Remnants Museum. (B)
Today we travel by boat to tour the fascinating Cu Chi Tunnels with a veteran guide. (B/L) Special Experiences: Go off the beaten track to discover Saigon's a-little-out-of-the-ordinary sights. We'll visit the peculiar Dan Sinh Market, the Beaux-Arts Museum, Antique Street and the traditional French-style Fanny's Ice Cream Parlour, Vietnam's leading ice cream producer.
10 Saigon - Mekong Delta
We make our way to the Mekong Delta to board our traditional-style cruise boat. We'll observe life along the banks of the delta and hop on and off smaller boats on shore excursions, passing villages and rice paddies. Relax on board this evening with an aperitif as the sun sets. (B/L/D)
11 Mekong Delta - Saigon
This morning we travel to Cai Rang by traditional sampan boat to experience all the action of the floating market - the liveliest market in the Mekong Delta. We'll also witness rice-paper and coconut candy making, and visit a local farm and tropical fruit orchard. Tonight we'll enjoy a group dinner back in Saigon. (B/D)
12 Saigon - Siem Reap
Enjoy the morning at leisure before our flight to Siem Reap in Cambodia, gateway to the incredible temples of Angkor. Tonight we'll travel by remork to dinner at a local restaurant serving typical Khmer dishes. (B/D)
13 Angkor Excursion
Our day is spent in Angkor, visiting the ancient fortified city of Angkor Thom. This afternoon we'll explore the amazing UNESCO World Heritage-listed temple of Angkor Wat. Enjoy a group dinner this evening accompanied by an Apsara dance performance. (B/D)
14 Siem Reap
Special Experiences: Discover life, customs and culture in rural Cambodia this morning. We'll take an ox cart ride through a typical village and meet a local family who will prepare lunch for us. After lunch we'll visit a community school and workshop and learn about their ‘Bottle Building Project'. Special Experiences: We'll travel by remork to a nearby pagoda, where we'll hear more about Buddhism and local spiritual beliefs, and experience a monk's blessing. Tonight we'll enjoy a group dinner at a local restaurant. (B/L/D)
15 Siem Reap - Luang Prabang
This morning we'll cruise Tonlé Sap, the largest freshwater lake in southeast Asia. We'll observe life and see the colourful floating villages. This afternoon we fly to the charming town of Luang Prabang. (B/L)
16 Luang Prabang
We board a tuk tuk to explore Luang Prabang this morning. Later we'll discover beautiful Wat Xieng Thong and visit a local handicraft village. (B/D) Special Experiences: This evening we join the locals to experience the tastes and traditions of Laos during a game of pétanque and a typical Laotian dinner.
17 Luang Prabang
Today we'll explore the National Museum, housed in the former Royal Palace, Haw Kham. We'll then take a leisurely cruise along the Mekong. Enjoy the typical Laotian cuisine for lunch on board. The boat will also stop so we can explore the Pak Ou Caves. (B/L)
18 Luang Prabang
Special Experiences: Learn about rice harvesting, the tools that are used and meet the local farming guide this morning at Living Lands Organic Farm. We'll then enjoy a tasting of some typical food made from the rice. This afternoon we'll explore the beautiful Kuang Si waterfalls and visit ‘Free the Bears', a rescue centre for Asiatic Black Bears. Tonight we'll enjoy a group farewell dinner. (B/D)
19 Depart Luang Prabang
