Welcome to Spain and the cosmopolitan city of Barcelona! Meet your fellow travellers and Tour Director for a welcome drink this evening.
After breakfast, we begin to explore Barcelona. We'll see Antoni Gaudi's incredible La Sagrada Familia, Plaza Catalunya and the Gothic Quarter before travelling to the top of Montjuic Mountain for striking panoramic views. Tonight we'll enjoy a group welcome dinner at a local restaurant. (B/D)
See more of Antoni Gaudi's Barcelona today, including the Casa Batllo and Casa Mila, as well as Park Güell - home to more truly unique works of art by Gaudi. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to explore at your own pace. (B)
5 Barcelona - Valencia
We head south to the friendly coastal town of Valencia, the birthplace of paella. We then take a tour of the old city to see the historic bell tower, cathedral and the lively streets of Barrio de Carmen. (B)
6 Valencia - Madrid
Sit back and enjoy the countryside as we travel to the capital of Spain, Madrid, a wonderfully rich and lively city. (B)
Overflowing with palaces, museums and grand squares, Madrid is a truly majestic city. We'll see the highlights on a city tour, including the famous avenues of Gran Via and Castellana, Plaza de Espana, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Castilla and Retiro Park. (B)
8 Madrid - Salamanca
We travel to Salamanca via the walled city of Avila, birthplace of Santa Teresa de Jesus and home to the 16km-long Roman Aqueduct of Segovia, built by the Romans to carry water from the mountains to the city. (B)
9 Salamanca - Porto
Salamanca is an ancient city famous for being built mostly from golden Villamayor stone. Today we'll see Casa de las Conchas, the Roman Bridge and the Plaza Mayor. Next, we cross the border into Portugal and the coastal town of Porto. (B)
Today we enjoy a city tour of Porto, including the Ribeira Quarter, St Francisco Church and the Stock Exchange. Special Experience: We'll learn how port is made and get to taste it at one of the city's many port producers. Next, we take a scenic cruise along the Douro River. Enjoy the afternoon to relax or explore at your leisure. (B)
11 Porto - Coimbra
We continue along the beautiful coast today, stopping at Aveiro, the 'Portuguese Venice'. This afternoon we continue to the medieval city of Coimbra. (B)
Nestled on the river, this charming university town was once the capital of Portugal. We enjoy a guided tour this morning and visit the famous university and amazing library. We'll also take a wander through the old town. (B)
13 Coimbra - Lisbon
This morning we make our way to Obidos, characterised by its flower-bedded whitewashed houses. Next, we continue along the coast to Estoril to see its gardens and casino, before moving on to our final stop today, the pastel seaside capital of Portugal, Lisbon. (B)
This morning we discover captivating Lisbon, seeing the Park Edward VII and Rossio Square, as well as the district of Belém, where we'll find the Statue of Columbus, Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries. (B) Special Experience: Taste the famous Portuguese custard tart at Antiga Confeitaria.
15 Lisbon - Seville
Crossing the border back into Spain, we stop to explore historic Evora, a beautifully preserved medieval town. We'll arrive in Seville in the early evening. (B)
Today's sightseeing tour includes views of the intricate exterior of the Cathedral of Santa Maria, the historic Jewish Quarter of Santa Cruz and the Royal Alcazar, a string of royal palaces built by the Catholic kings during the 14th century. (B)
17 Seville - Granada
Sit back and enjoy the scenery as we travel across the countryside to the historic city of Granada with the spectacular backdrop of the Sierra Nevada ranges. (B/D) Special Experience: Tonight we'll enjoy the colourful and elegant bites that make a traditional Spanish tapas dinner.
This morning we'll admire the intricate detail of the famous Moorish citadel, Alhambra Palace. Then we wander through the beautifully manicured Generalife Gardens, the 14th century summer gardens of the former kings of Granada. 19 Granada - Chefchaouen
We make our way by ferry over the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco. (B/D) Special Experience: We travel to the magical town of Chefchaouen, one of the prettiest in Morocco, washed in hundreds of shades of blue.

21 Chefchaouen - Fez
Travelling to Fez, we visit the impressive ruins of Volubilis, dating back to the 3rd century BC. We'll also stop at the Bab el Mansour Gate and the lively old medina in Meknes, one of Morocco's four imperial cities. (B)
Today we'll explore the narrow, cobbled lanes and covered souks of the famous medina, see the Karaouine Mosque and watch an ancient tannery in operation. We'll enjoy lunch in the medina's palace. (B/L)
23 Fez - Marrakesh
We travel to the magical ‘Rose City', Marrakesh, blessed with fine gardens, palaces, and mosques. (B/D)
Marrakesh is the real heartbeat of Morocco and today we visit the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque and the famous medina. (B/L/D) Special Experience: We'll take a cooking lesson in a beautiful Moroccan riad, then enjoy the food we've prepared for lunch. Special Experience: Tonight we'll make our way through buzzing Jemaa-el-Fnaa Square to enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner.
25 Marrakesh - Casablanca
This morning we make our way to Casablanca. Here we see the central market, Hassan II Mosque and Ain Diab Esplanade. Tonight we enjoy a group farewell dinner. (B/D)
26 Depart Casablanca
Today we begin our journey home. (B)
