You'll be met on arrival in Melbourne and transferred to your ship, the MS Caledonian Sky. Meet your captain and crew at tonight's welcome reception and dinner. Stay: Four nights, MS Caledonian Sky (D)
Reach the Gippsland region of Victoria today. Wilsons Promontory, affectionately known as ‘the Prom', is mainland Australia's southernmost national park, an isolated area of granite headlands, unique vegetation and geology. Jump aboard a Zodiac to land on one of the beaches where onboard naturalists will lead a series of nature walks. (B/L/D)
This morning your ship will travel to the Mornington Peninsula wine region, known for its cool climate wines. Here you'll enjoy a tasting and lunch at Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill. Later this afternoon, your ship sets sail for Port Fairy. Be sure to gather on the Panorama Deck for views of French Island, Phillip Island, and the rocky outcrop of the Nobbies, with its large seal colony. (B/L/D)
This morning, enjoy an excursion to Port Campbell National Park, visiting stunning Loch Ard Gorge, named for the clipper ship that foundered near here in 1878 with the loss of all but two on board, and the spectacular 12 Apostles. After lunch back on board, the afternoon is free to explore the pretty town of Port Fairy. You can choose to browse among the quaint shops, or take a walk around the port area and Griffiths Island, where you find a small lighthouse and hidden beaches among mutton bird nesting grounds.
