Itinerary

You'll be met on arrival in Adelaide and transferred to your ship. Meet your captain and crew at tonight's welcome reception and dinner. Stay 14 Nights: MS Caledonian Sky (D)

Today you'll visit Hahndorf, Australia's oldest surviving German settlement, before travelling to St Hugo Wines for lunch and a wine tasting. Later, enjoy free time in the town of Tanunda, known as the heart of the Barossa. (B/L/D)

Travel to Kangaroo Island, home to an array of incredible native wildlife and pristine beaches. Pause at Pennington Bay and take in the views before visiting the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery. Learn about how oil is manufactured on a guided tour. Continue to Raptor Domain and take in a birds of prey show. Later this afternoon, visit Clifford's Honey Farm for a guided tour. See how honey is extracted and sample some of the delicious tastings on offer. (B/L/D)

Explore more of Kangaroo Island today, starting with a visit to Seal Bay. Here, join a local expert and learn about the Australian sea lion as you journey along a boardwalk into the heart of their colony. Continue your wildlife encounter at the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park. With over 150,000 hectares of forest lost due to the fires, many koalas are being cared for here as they recover. After lunch, visit Flinders Chase National Park, located on the western end of the island. This rugged wilderness area is home to stunning coastal scenery including the iconic Admirals Arch and Remarkable Rocks. (B/L/D)

On a tour of Port Lincoln, head to the marina to learn about the fishing practices of the local prawn and tuna fleets and how they are preserving the fisheries for future generations. Then, choose your sightseeing option. (B/L/D)

Freedom of Choice:
  • Sample some of the seafood and wine this region is renowned for at a tasting at the award-winning Boston Bay Winery. Alternatively, visit Axel Stenross Maritime Museum where you'll discover the story of Finnish carpenter Axel Stenross and the lost craft of wooden boat building.

Enjoy a Signature Experience this morning. Later, set sail for Ceduna. (B/L/D)

Signature Experiences:
  • Board a purpose-built boat and cruise through the oyster leases while learning about the famous Coffin Bay Pacific Oyster industry. Enjoy a tasting of fresh-from-the-ocean oysters before travelling to Coffin Bay National Park by coach. Here, admire the stunning Almonta Beach, where majestic sand dunes meet azure waters. Keep an eye out for schools of salmon, dolphins or seals as you walk along the beach. You'll also visit Point Avoid lookout.

Arrive today in Ceduna, the last major town before you hit the Nullarbor. Browse the art on show at the Ceduna Arts and Culture Centre, which provides development opportunities for local Indigenous communities, and sells artwork on behalf of artists in the Far West Coast region of South Australia. Venture on to the sleepy town of Smoky Bay, famous for its idyllic beaches and oyster industry. Then spend the afternoon exploring the landscapes of Laura Conservation Park. (B/L/D)

It takes two days to cross the Great Australian Bight, which separates the east and west of Australia. It's the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the facilities on board your ship. (B/L/D)

Today you will stop in Lucky Bay, located within Cape Le Grand National Park. With its turquoise water, white sand and breathtaking views of the Recherche Archipelago, it's known as one of Australia's best beaches. Join your Expedition team for a walk to nearby Thistle Cove, or simply relax on the beach and keep an eye out for the kangaroos. (B/L/D)

Point Ann lies within Fitzgerald River National Park. Covering over 329,000 hectares, Fitzgerald River National Park is one of the largest national parks in Australia. Here, you may wish to join your Expedition team on the Point Ann Heritage Trail, a short walk which follows part of the original rabbit-proof fence. This afternoon we arrive in Bremer Bay, a peaceful fishing town known for its white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Spend your afternoon swimming or snorkelling before setting sail. (B/L/D)

Enjoy a relaxing sailing morning before arriving in Albany. Here, you'll have a choice of sightseeing options. (B/L/D)

Freedom of Choice:
  • View Torndirrup National Park's geological formations, including the Natural Bridge and The Gap. At the Blowholes, listen for the booming sounds as water is forced up into a crack in the granite cliffs, then visit the Historic Whaling Station. Alternatively, explore the National ANZAC Centre and the Brig Amity museum.

Visit Lake Cave and Mammoth Cave, where you'll see spectacular stalactite, stalagmite and shawl formations as well as an impressive collection of dinosaur fossils. Travel into the Margaret River region for a Signature Experience. (B/L/D)

Signature Experiences:
  • A culinary adventure begins with a tour and tasting at the Margaret River Chocolate Company, followed by visits to Ashbrook Estate and Juniper Estate Winery. At Bettenay's Margaret River, you'll sample fine local wines and freshly made nougat.

Spend the morning on your chosen Freedom of Choice activity. Later, enjoy free time to explore Busselton. (B/L/D)

  • Perhaps hike along a section of the renowned Cape to Cape Track from Cape Naturaliste to Sugar Loaf Rock. Alternatively, set out on a Historic Busselton tour: Walk along the longest timber jetty in the Southern Hemisphere; admire St Mary's Anglican Church, built in 1844 of limestone and jarrah or spend time at the Busselton Museum.

Disembark your ship for the final time in Fremantle and be transferred to Perth Airport for your onward flight. (B)
