Overview

Book online and enjoy exclusive savings on APT's 14 Day Croatia and Montenegro In Depth. Sail the Adriatic to Croatia and Montenegro on a Croatia Luxury Yacht Cruise. This 14-day holiday covers sites such as the Bay of Kotor, Krka National Park, Dubrovnik Old Town and more.

Itinerary

Arrive in Zagreb this afternoon and be transferred to your floating home for the next 13 nights, the brand-new cruising yacht MV Lady Eleganza. Designed and built in Croatia for the Adriatic Coast, your yacht is perfect for nestling into the region's small harbours and sheltered coves. Stay 13 Nights: MV Lady Eleganza (D)

Explore Rovinj, which sits on a headland with houses huddled together beneath imposing St Euphemia church, whose steeple dominates the scene. This afternoon, your yacht sets sail on to Pula. (B/L/D)

Pula's remarkably preserved Arena, reminiscent of Rome's Colosseum, is the city's highlight. Built in the first century AD, it once housed up to 23,000 spectators for gladiatorial battles. The Arena is the only remaining Roman amphitheatre in existence to have all four walls entirely preserved. Afterwards, cruise on to Opatija. (B/L/D)

Today's destination, Opatija, is a town of splendid Habsburg-era villas dating from its time as a fashionable 19th-century resort. Its long main promenade, known as the Lungomare, is lined with imposing homes with a backdrop of densely forested hills. (B/L/D)

Lush and green clad, Losinj Island is fragrant with lavender, sage and rosemary. The main town, Mali Losinj, is characterised by pastel-coloured yacht captains' villas on its waterfront. This afternoon, sail to lively Zadar. Located on a small peninsula, Zadar, which historically rivalled Venice in importance, retains an impressive core of Roman ruins as well as some surprising modern flourishes. (B/L/D)

Today you will visit the spectacular Krka National Park. Spend the morning strolling along boardwalks to view Krka's waterfalls. The most memorable is Skradinski buk, which is made up of scores of separate cascades. (B/L/D)

Enjoy a Signature Experience before setting sail for Split, where you take an evening walk around a historic city filled with Roman-era landmarks. (B/L/D)

Signature Experiences:
  • At the village of Radosic, be welcomed with local brandy and doughnuts and enjoy traditional entertainment before a dinner of regional specialties.

This morning, board small boats for an excursion along the emerald green Cetina River. You'll head to picturesque Radmanove Mlinice (Radman's Mills), established in 1772 to grind cereal for the people of Omis. (B/L/D)

Bol's main claim to fame is the astonishing Zlatni Rat ('Golden Cape'). This beach is made up of tiny white pebbles that shift with the vagaries of the wind and waves, and meets the sea like a spearhead. During your time here, you might like the chance to take a dip or explore the town, which is known for its 15th-century Dominican monastery and museum. (B/L/D)

This morning, travel by coach over the border to fascinating Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its most famous landmark is the beautiful World Heritage-listed Stari Most ('Old Bridge') which arches high above the Neretva. It was rebuilt to its original medieval specifications after being damaged in the 1990s Balkan conflict. You'll visit it and more on a walking tour. Enjoy lunch before returning to your yacht and setting sail for Korcula. (B/L/D)

In Korcula, Marco Polo's birthplace, you will stroll along medieval streets flanked with palaces. You will then sail for the Elaphiti Islands off the Croatian coast. Just three of the 14 islands are inhabited, including Lopud, which is car-free. Lopud is well known for its stunning beaches, and Sunj is the most beautiful of all. The energetic can take a two-hour walk across the island, with the reward of superb views and a swim. Meanwhile, the Lady Eleganza will cruise to meet the walkers, and those who chose to remain on board will enjoy island views before being ferried to the beach by Zodiac. (B/L/D)

Signature Experiences:
  • Witness an exclusive Moreska performance. This traditional sword dance dates back centuries and involves two groups of dancers representing opposing kingdoms engaging in battle to win over the heart of the King's fiance.
  • This evening, enjoy a walking tour around Lopud, then take in the spectacular views from the old fort with a glass of champagne in hand.

Enjoy spectacular views as you sail towards Montenegro and the Bay of Kotor. Sailing into the bay that is framed by sheer cliffs which hug the walled town of Kotor is a real highlight. On arrival, enjoy a private tour of the town. (B/L/D)

Enjoy a relaxing morning sailing to Dubrovnik. On arrival, explore the World Heritage Old Town, a fairytale world of palaces, monasteries and churches enclosed within the spectacular medieval city walls. (B/L/D)

After breakfast, it is time to bid a fond farewell to the MV Lady Eleganza. You will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
