Itinerary

Board your private jet in Melbourne for an air experience like no other. On arrival in the Tasmanian capital, enjoy a delicious lunch and wine tasting at family-owned Puddleduck Vineyard. Founder and winemaker Darren Brown will host the tasting of five wines before a three-course meal. Later, check in to the centrally located Crowne Plaza Hobart. This evening, enjoy dinner at Mures Upper Deck overlooking Constitution Dock. Stay Two Nights: Crowne Plaza Hobart (L/D)

Saturday means the Salamanca Market in Hobart, one of the city's great highlights. Browse among hundreds of stalls set out on historic Salamanca Place, selling handmade products and locally grown produce. Then head for the eclectic MONA – the Museum of Old and New Art – where the fascinating exhibits thrill and challenge in equal measure. History buffs might choose an optional excursion (own expense) to Port Arthur, and the evocative remnants of one of Australia's harshest penal settlements – as place of 19th-century tribulation paradoxically set among rare beauty. There is some time at leisure this afternoon, with dinner left free so you can choose where to dine. (B)

Reboard your private jet and fly over the spectacular beauty of Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake as you head towards a fascinating day at Port Lincoln. You'll enjoy an Adventure Bay seafood cruise before lunch at the Fresh Fish Place, which supplies Eyre Peninsula seafood Australia-wide. Don't fill yourself up, because you'll then experience a Coffin Bay oyster tour, with a tasting of the region's world-renowned oysters, and finally a stop for cheese and wine or coffee and cake at 1802 Oyster Bar. Back aboard your private jet, you head to Adelaide. Stay Two Nights: InterContinental Adelaide (B/L/D)

Today, you make the short drive to the beautiful Barossa Valley, one of Australia's most historic wine regions, to visit St Hugo Wines. First, you sample four wines, guided by an expert team member, and then take a stroll through the Kitchen Garden with executive chef Nik Tucker, to explain St Hugo's food philosophy and how the garden produce is used. Then follows a two-course shared menu for lunch with paired wines, before returning to Adelaide. (B/L)

Your private jet departs Adelaide for Kalgoorlie, the bustling mining centre of outback Western Australia. En route, enjoy spectacular views of the Great Australian Bight and its sea cliffs. In Kalgoorlie, which still retains some of its Wild West flavour, tour the immense Super Pit, one of the world's largest open-cut mines, and then continue by private jet to Busselton in the Margaret River region in the southwestern corner of WA. Stay Two Nights: Pullman Bunker Bay Resort, Margaret River (B/D)

Get set for a day of indulgence in this lush and beautiful area, known for its fine vineyards and gourmet produce, beginning with a special Aravina Estate Experience at one of the region's best wineries. Guests will first visit the working winery and barrel room for wine blending hosted by chief winemaker Ryan Aggiss, and tasting direct from the barrels. This educational session allows you blend your own bottle, which will be labelled specially for the group. You'll then tour the on-site WA Surf & Sports Car Gallery before a locally sourced three-course lunch with matching wines, presented by executive chef Ben Day. Later, you'll discover the delicious creations on a tour and tasting at Gabriel Chocolate, where all the produce is hand-made. (B/L)

Board your private jet for the trip north to the Kimberley, and its best-known town, Broome, beautifully situated on Roebuck Bay and with stunning Cable Beach as its centrepiece. Discover this intriguing town, with its historic pearling industry and cosmopolitan community, on a tour. Learn about the pearling days, see Broome's Chinatown and Chinese cemetery, and visit Sun Pictures, the world's oldest operating cinema gardens, and Gantheaume Point, where you can view prehistoric dinosaur footprints. This evening, enjoy drinks and nibbles at sunset overlooking Cable Beach. Stay Two Nights: The Continental, Broome (B/D)

Today, you have the option at your own expense to travel north for a full day or half-day to Talbot Bay, to the remarkable Horizontal Falls, a tidal phenomenon Sir David Attenborough described as “Australia's most unusual natural wonder”. At high tide, water rushes through two narrow chasms in the McLarty Range, creating the sensation of a turquoise-coloured waterfall flowing horizontally. Back in Broome at sunset, a time of great beauty in the town, perhaps choose to climb aboard a camel on Cable Beach for a ride along the sands (own expense). (B)

Reboard your private jet for Darwin, with a series of flyover treats in store. Soar over the distinctive beehive domes of Purnululu National Park's Bungle Bungle Range before flying over the vast Kakadu National Park. This evening, enjoy a sunset dinner cruise on Darwin harbour. Stay: Hilton Darwin (B/D)

Head south to the Red Centre and the spiritual heart of the continent, Uluru. Tonight, enjoy the stunning Sounds of Silence dinner, beginning with canapes and sparkling wine, followed by a bush tucker-inspired two-course meal. Finally, an astronomer will decode the stars in the brilliant Red Centre skies, pointing out planets, galaxies and more. Stay Two Nights: Uluru, Desert Gardens Hotel (B/D)

Today begins early, in time to see the sun rise over Uluru, and watch in awe as the rock's colours change almost imperceptibly as the sun climbs in the sky. Then, walk around Uluru's base, exploring its surprising variety of landscapes – gorges, waterholes, caves, woodlands and grassed areas. Later, you will visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, which places the region in its historic and cultural context. Tonight, enjoy the stunning spectacle of the acclaimed Field of Light Installation, which sees 50,000 ‘flowers' of light glowing ochre, violet, blue and white as the sun sets. (B)

Board your private jet bound for tropical Queensland. But first you make a stop in the Queensland outback, landing at Longreach, the remote town which Qantas first called home in 1922. There you visit the fascinating Stockman's Hall of Fame, which pays tribute to Australia's outback pioneering history, and enjoy a short cruise on the Thomson River. View the spectacle of the Great Barrier Reef from our plane as we continue on to Cairns, and then check in to your luxurious hotel, situated on the Esplanade overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Stay Two Nights: Crystalbrook Riley Cairns (B/L/D)

Today, you have the option (own expense) of taking a spectacular trip to the Outer Barrier Reef to explore the underwater world. Pull on a mask and snorkel to see a myriad of tropical fish and colourful coral formations. Otherwise, enjoy a day at leisure in Cairns. (B)

Depart Cairns for another incredibly scenic flight, this time to beautiful Hamilton Island. Upon landing, check-in to your resort hotel then spend the rest of the day at leisure, perhaps relaxing on a palm-fringed beach or lying by a sparkling swimming pool. Stay Two Nights: Hamilton Island, Reef View Hotel (B/D)

Spend your second last day on tour as you wish. You might choose to snorkle right off the beach or enjoy one of the walks on the Island. Alternately venture further out on a cruise to Whitehaven Beach (own expense). Tonight, enjoy a special farewell dinner with your fellow travellers. (B/D)

Re-board your private jet for a visit to Broken Hill en route to Melbourne. You begin with a city sights tour including the Miners Memorial and lookout, which is up on the Line of Lode. Visit the Pro Hart Gallery for a tour and lunch, then arrive at the Silver City Mint and Art Gallery, the home of the Big Picture. Complete the tour with a drive by the Palace Hotel, which featured in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. You then return to the airport where you resume your flight to Melbourne, where your remarkable journey ends. (B/L)
