Youth tours often conjure the image of a party bus rolling through the streets delivering its exuberant passengers to their next destination, where they will explore all day and dance all night. If that is your thing, then you can certainly throw yourself into that experience on a guided tour for young travellers. However, if you are cringing just thinking about it, then there is no need to forgo the idea of a group tour – there are other options.

A lot of young travellers struggle to find their right fit in the touring world, and we get it – you don’t want to spend your holiday in a cycle of mayhem and hangovers, and yet don’t necessarily want to travel with people who remind you of your parents or grandparents (you love them, but there’s a reason you’re doing your own thing on this trip!). You want the security of group travel so you can immerse yourself in the cultures you are visiting. The good news is, there are tours exclusively for younger travellers that are curated to bring you incredible experiences sans the ongoing hangovers. If this is sounds like you, read on.

Travelling India with Contiki

No matter which tour company or itinerary you choose, ultimately you can dictate your experience. While this collection of youth tours is designed with the more serious young traveller in mind, you may still find yourself or your travel buddies donning dancing shoes and exploring the ruin bars of Budapest or the salsa clubs of Latin America. You can either choose to join in or swap an evening on the town for something a little more low key. There are always options, and there is a Tour Leader on hand throughout your journey, who can point you in the direction of experiences right up your alley.

These itineraries are all about giving you the option to experience the world the way you want to. Have quintessential experiences, connect with the locals, make new friends, and enjoy adventures that you’ll never forget.
