“Fascinating country really worth a visit”
Robert & Caroline - QLD, Australia Nov 2018
The whole trip was spectacular and the Travelmarvel guides were terrific, knowledgeable and always helpful. If you have ever considered going to Burma as it was known it is still a beautiful country and well worth the visit. The negative press that it receives is seriously impacting the tourism and as usual the press has put their spin on the situation. We felt completely safe where we travelled to and have wonderful memories of the friendly happy people. If you do go make sure you add the Inle Lake ...read more

“Majestic Myanmar”
Brian & Merilyn - WA, Australia Apr 2018
What a lovely relaxing holiday - unpack, sit back and relax. All meals were marvelous with the staff almost like family. The tours were very informative and with excellent guides. You might not agree with the politics of the country but we found the village life and cities were very interesting. The weather was hot but there wasn't any rush to get the tours over and done. The buses which took us to the various places were air conditioned and water was supplied. We experienced the Burmese "New ...read more

“Myanmar - Maybe a country of great problems but a top venue to tour”
Graham & Lois - New Zealand Oct 2017
We are very experienced travelers often to intrepid destinations. Our Irrawaddy River cruise was right up there with the best. Very happy but impoverished people who get on with life with a smile on their faces. Conditions and pollution really third world. They appear to be unaware of events in other areas of the country. Have been basically under Military rule for so long most know nothing else to compare it with. Recommend Myanmar as a tourist destination if you don't mind seeing what real life ...read more

“A peaceful and spiritual place”
Jill - VIC, Australia Dec 2016
Scenic ‘Luxury Irrawaddy’, 11 days, Yangon to Mandalay (28th December 2016 to 7th January, 2017) We had a great time cruising the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar. The Scenic Aura is a lovely ship – it has only been operational since September. There were 44 passengers on board (full capacity). Most were Australian. The cabins were very spacious, including a bedroom, separate lounge room, bathroom and toilet. They also had balconies. There were great facilities on board, including a pool. We chose a ...read more
