The WW1 battlefields tour was very comprehensive and very informative. It certainly increased our knowledge of the battles and losses that occurred in this part of France and Belgium. As well as learning more about the part the Australian soldiers played in WW1, it was interesting to learn of the British and Canadian involvement as well. It was nice
...read more to discover that the French and Belgium people still speak so highly of the Australian soldiers and their sacrifices. I couldn't help feeling a little sad by the end of the tour at all the losses, the many sad stories and the massive number of headstones throughout the countryside. It was also a surprise to learn of how many soldiers did not have headstones and were never identified. I would recommend this tour both for war history enthusiasts and for anyone who is interested in the human side of war.
