Great tour, Insight vacations in Europe back to its best. 10/10. Spain and Portugal were amazing - the tour just got better and better. Excellent tour guide, great hotels, can't speak more highly of this tour.

Booking was quick and easy with Hannah from Global Journeys. Can recommend Insight Vacations as this was our fourth trip with them. Dan the tour leader really looked after us. Great trip with Insight! We would definitely travel again with them - everything was super well organised, and communication each day was great. Tour director, Toni, and our coach drivers were very professional. Nothing was too much trouble, and it was this attention to detail which added that extra something to our tour.

The tour was very well organised. We enjoyed it very much. The tour director was the best we have ever experienced, we have done many. All the people got on very well, not always the case. There were no problems. Thanks Yvonne you did a great job.

We felt safe and well cared for the whole journey, which is important travelling overseas. If you want amazing memories just jump into everything on offer. Yvonne from Global Journeys was fantastic and organised our holiday to perfection.

It was relaxing and enjoyable knowing that we were being capably managed and all arrangements had been made. The accommodation was superb - quality and centrally located. All cities chosen for stop-overs were good and provided variety. However, I would have preferred less time on the Costa del Sol and more time in Valencia. Some of the optional tours were disappointing and those that provided meals, these were disappointing. The travel directors are very knowledgeable as are the city guides. However, it would be helpful to receive written summaries of the background information, such as key historical dates. Overall this was a worthwhile tour and I would recommend it to others.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it. We saw so many places of historical significance, many of which are UNESCO World Heritage listed, and some stunning scenery. The itinerary was well planned; we visited large cities, smaller cities and towns and some very quaint villages - so much variety. I did most of the optional extras and enjoyed them, although it meant missing free time to wander or just have a rest. In my opinion, the tour to Cordoba is a must, even though extra time in Seville would have been enjoyed also. If you do not choose to do the optional dinner followed by a horse and carriage ride which finishes in the beautiful Plaza de Espana, Seville, I recommend you visit this magnificent Plaza on your own. It would be preferable to have a visit to this Plaza in the included sightseeing.

Our vivacious Tour Director, Tania, enhanced our enjoyment of the tour with her caring nature, great organisation and good historical comments. The coach was very comfortable with good Wifi, and our cheerful and skilled driver Filipe looked after the coach, and us, very well. Accommodation was mostly very good, although in a couple of places a more central location would have been appreciated.

My booking through Global Journeys went smoothly, and I will use them again. Thanks to Yvonne for keeping me informed, and obtaining my documents earlier since I left Australia some time before the tour started.

This was a very well planned and executed tour. Our tour director, Dawn, was very organised and knowledgeable about all the areas we toured. We thought all the accommodation was of a very high standard and in good locations, perhaps Madrid was a bit out of the city but public transport was within a few minutes walk. We didn’t do a lot of the optional experiences and were surprised that a lot of our fellow travellers just booked them all before leaving home, some were good value and some not. The optional dinners while a bit expensive but the fun we had with our fellow travellers made up for it, especially the dinner in Lisbon with a horse and carriage ride, it was priceless.
All in all a great holiday with a fun group of people from several countries. Would definitely do Insight again.

As a first timer to group travel and a single traveller I was hesitant. Not to worry the organisation was perfect. A plus was a well behaved group all intent on a good time which filtered through the trip.

We would recommend travelling with Insight Travel. Our trip to Spain and Portugal was very well organised and everything went smoothly. Travelling in the coach was a delight, smooth and roomy with a great driver and spectacular scenery - a pleasant change from the self driving we usually do. Included excursions were varied and interesting. Hotels were on the most part in central locations with one exception. Dom, our tour guide did just the right amount of commentary.

The 15 day Insight tour of Spain and Portugal exceeded all of our expectations. Amazing sights, great hotels and meals and an excellent tour guide and driver. Some days were a bit hectic but there were a couple of relaxing days in the middle at Costa de Sol.

Spain has been on our bucket list for a while and we were not disappointed. Our coach tour gave us a good overview of Spain and we certainly saw and did a lot in a short time. Like all coach tours there are times when you feel a bit rushed and being moved on mass to the next sight, but overall it was a good experience.

Not sure what the slogan 'the art of touring in style' and VIP tags attached to our luggage meant. The tour was just average and like any other tours. No hotel staff greeted us with welcome drinks as VIP and, we had to queue in line to enter the museums, churches, etc.. like any other groups. As we had paid more (than the price offered by its competitor), ...read more we expected the hotels to be better than those provided by its competitor, whom we usually travel with. Yet, we found the hotels, except for Dom Pedro in Lisbon, are of lower standard and located too far away from city centres.

While the horse riding could be part of the optional dinner, I believe visiting Plata de Espana in Seville should have been part of the city tour inclusion as this world heritage site is admission free, and only 10 minutes drive from the hotel. The inclusive dinners, except the one served at Vincci Albayzín, were average and rather disappointing, Conclusion; Not so happy or keen to recommend the tour or Insight to our friends and families. Beware of the optional tours and dinners! They could cost you an extra Euro 550 on top the already pricey tour.

Loved the tour, definitely be back to do another as Rory our Guide and Alfredo our Driver were simply outstanding in the delivery of this tour.

This was a fabulous itinerary, we travelled through some important and incredible cities. Our guide Emma was wonderful. The driver was adequate, no personality but I guess he didn't need to have one, we just like a driver with a bit of a spark. Overall, the accommodation was awesome, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Costa Del Sol is a bit of a yawn, but you can use this time to relax.

April is an excellent time to travel in Spain and Portugal...not too hot yet. We were fortunate in having both an excellent driver and a knowledgeable Tour Guide who went out of their way to provide personal service. While I realise it must be difficult to find hotels for a group of over 40 I believe some hotels were too far out of the part of town ...read more I wished to visit. e.g. a 15 euro fare into the old city in Barcelona. Also simple plumbing where you don't scald yourself , walk in shower (not over the bath) and windows that open are an overlooked necessity. Arrangements with Global Journeys went smoothly.

Rotating seating system on coach is good, however, we are (most in the tour) not tall people, all commended that the extra leg room at the left side of the coach is not comfortable. We really had a great visit to Spain and Portugal - hotels in great locations - coach very comfortable - more spacious than some others we saw - great inclusions and we would recommend taking up all the optional additional excursions

Wonderful trip. Insight coach was very comfortable with great leg room. Excellent courteous driver and vivacious tour guide who made sure that the tour went smoothly.
