Easy pace Globus Tour of Eastern USA and Canada 1 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2019
Enjoyable easy paced tour from New York return visiting Washington, the Amish in Lancaster, Niagara with the Maid of the Mist boat cruise, adding the helicopter flight over the falls. In Canada, Ottawa was a pleasant surprise as was Quebec City. The extension tour in New York by metro to the One World Tower observatory and a cruise to see the Statue ...read more of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Brooklyn Bridge was also enjoyable. We recommend this tour as one of the better Globus tours with Matt Guido as the best tour guide we have had to date.
Carefree trip through Eastern USA and Canada 2 , QLD, Australia, Oct 2018
This was a wonderful trip. Jemma was very helpful with our almost last minute booking! The tour guide Peter was the best tour guide we have ever had, undoubtedly adding to the enjoyment of a well organised and interesting tour.
Every day was a wonderfull new adventure   6 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2017
We would definitely use Global Journeys again and will next time we travel. Hannah our travel agent was wonderful and always ready to answer our questions. Every day on our bus trip through the East Coast of America was an exciting adventure and we also enjoyed meeting new friends. The bus was comfortable and we always felt safe. The extra nights in ...read more New York are a must and we’re pleased we had an extra 6 nights. Quebec was a highlight of the trip with the old buildings that take you back in time.
A wonderful holiday! 0 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2016
A very well organised trip from Globus. Nice hotels and places we visit. Dining with the Amish family is the highlight for us fellow travelling companions were very friendly. The tour guide and driver were very nice too. Also special thanks to Yvonne from Global Journeys.
A great experience   6 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2016
The tour director was great - really knew his stuff and a real 'peoples' person. The pace of the tour? I was intent on seeing as much as I could, so occupied any time free from the organised tour walking around sight seeing, etc. No problems sleeping of a night! It goes without saying that I did not get to see everything, but was more than happy with ...read more what I managed to fit in. All the inclusions were great and the options were all worth while doing. I started to feel the pace by Washington DC and at the same time not wanting the tour to end. Highlights - I enjoyed the lot of it. The restaurants included in the tour were very good, Washington DC, CN Tower dinner, New York [Chopper flight down the Hudson and Ellis Island]. My fellow travellers were great in making this solo traveller feel apart of the group.
A very enjoyable trip! 0 , NSW, Australia, Jul 2016
Our Tour Director was informative of the places we visited. She was an excellent tour guide. The accommodation was good. There were many highlights with the trip including: Boston, Quebec City, dinner with an Amish family, New York and Washington. Seeing Niagara falls was an amazing experience for me. Quick trip around eastern Canada and North eastern USA 1 , QLD, Australia, Jul 2016
Quebec and Niagara Falls were great. We even got to change the colour of the lights on the falls. Accommodation was first class and included meals were very good. Lunch breaks on some days could have been a little shorter allowing earlier arrival times at destinations.
Wonderful round trip USA and Canada 0 , VIC, Australia, Jul 2016
My trip was informative of the cities that we visited and the coach driver and our tour guide were great people. Our tour guide was quite knowledgeable with history. The hotels were a great standard. Free WiFi in most hotels we stayed at and two that did not have free WiFi I negotiated with them and they gave me free WiFi. This was my second trip with ...read more Globus and I can see myself going for a third in the near future.
A thorough and complete package 2 , NSW, Australia, May 2016
A very enjoyable trip. Our Globus tour director provided excellent information on each destination we visited. Lots of highlights with this trip including Quebec, dinner with an Amish family, Washington and New York. Niagara Falls was by far the best highlight with this tour providing a whole experience of this amazing piece of nature.
Wonderful trip, have already recommended to others 0 , WA, Australia, Sep 2014
This was a wonderful trip and we have already recommended it to others. The itinerary was extremely well planned and our tour guide Ali ran a very tight ship to ensure that we were all able to experience all that was planned on a daily basis. The accommodation was central in every place we stayed and in our free time we were able to enjoy the sights ...read more that each had to offer. We were very fortunate that we had a really lovely tour group which added to the overall experience. We would definitely travel with Globus again and look forward to using Global Journeys again.
Very good tour overall 6 , Australia, Sep 2014
The tour was very good overall - the comments below did not marr our experience with Globus and we would travel with them again, they are really things that could have been done better. There was no opportunity on the Globus assessment forms to list these specifics either (other than the CN Tower which everybody commented on!).

The places visited ...read more were very good with the exception of Montreal which wasn't up to expectations, exacerbated by the fact that the key must see of Notre Dame Basilica was not available/open due to weddings. The tour inclusions and optional excursions were potentially very good but spoilt by poor (included) meals - all evening meals included were poorly served, inferior positioning in the restaurants, and restricted menu options which spoilt otherwise enjoyable events. The optional excursion to the CN Tower in Toronto was very, very poor - expensive, poor food, poor service, poor layout, only the first people in got the ends of the tables adjacent to the windows to experience the views while eating, everybody else was squeezed into long tables that were well in board of the windows. The noise levels were also incredibly high.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful and well organised. The coach driver was very helpful and approachable also. The tour bus was very good except for leg room, I'm 192cm and expected more leg room, based on a previous Insight Vacations tour, which I thought was at a comparable 'business' level. The hotels were very good 'business' type hotels generally and well located within the cities visited, such that we could walk to and from them during free times. Some of the hotels were very 'hands off' with respect to their staff attitudes, friendly but not generally as helpful as others. Still enjoyed the tour a lot!
I really enjoyed the tour 0 , Australia, Sep 2013
I was apprehensive before I left about the pace the tour would take but I was pleased that it was achievable and we had plenty of warning regarding times we were to be packed and ready for the next move. The two-night stays in various places enabled me to keep my laundry up-to-date. The value of the actual Coach Tour was good with a safe and steady ...read more driver and a guide who was well organised. However, some of the Optional add-ons were overpriced for what was provided, the worst example being the dinner at the Niagara Falls. The other tourists were good company and I really enjoyed the tour.
Autumn colours of Eastern US and Canada   0 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2013
In September 2013 I traveled on the Globus Tour of Eastern US and Canada with the Discovery of New York and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. I chose September to travel to see the changing colour of the countryside with the autumn leaves. As well as experiencing the excitement of New York we visited the historic cities of Boston and Quebec with the addition ...read more of Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto.

A spectacular helicopter flight over Niagara Falls was one of the highlights of my trip! Another interesting experience was a visit and meal with Amish people in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, our visit to Washington was disappointing because the government was in lock-down and all government buildings, including the Lincoln Memorial, were closed to the public.

I would recommend Globus for their the interesting inclusions, the high standard of accommodation and Global Journeys for the ease of booking online.
Overall I would do it again 0 , Australia, Sep 2013
Tour guide and driver were very good. Accommodation ranged from good to very good. Food was good. Overall I would do it again.
Had no problems at any time during the tour 0 , Australia, May 2013
Tour experience, guide, places visited were all excellent. Coach was great and had Wifi in the cities. The tour guide had the tour very well planned with handouts on each city or site before we arrived. We knew exactly what we were doing and had no problems at any time during the tour. Tour went very well 0 , Australia, Sep 2012
Tour went very well - due to great organised guide as well as an excellent coach driver. The food was good also. Enjoyed Canada as well as the US.
Not overly impressed with the tour guide 1 , Australia, Sep 2012
Although the tour was as expected, the accomodation acceptable and the local tours mostly very good we were not overly impressed with the tour guide who only seemed to do what was needed without going out of her way to provide good commentaries or any helpful information. She was rather flat in her presentation in contrast to some of the local guides ...read more who were animated and very entertaining. The length of one or two coach tours was rather tedious and perhaps could have been replaced by a a flight- however I notice that most of the competing tours do the long hops by coach so it might be practically not possible. Overall the trip was OK. Thanks you for your organising the trip.
