Worry free trip 1 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2019
I chose this trip to bring my mum to the US and Canada. This trip is very suitable for older people. You do not even need to carry your own luggage to your room from the coach. The pace of the trip was great too. Our tour leader was so funny and he entertained us on the coach with all his jokes and interesting facts. He was also very organised. He timed ...read more the whole itinerary up to 5 minute accuracy.
Well organised and thoroughly enjoyable 0 , QLD, Australia, Jun 2019
This was our first of 2 tours we did with Globus and won't be our last. Our tour director, Matt Guido, was entertaining, informative, friendly and well organised. From dining with an Amish family in Lancaster to viewing Niagara Falls from a helicopter (our favourite optional excursion) to the beautiful, old French city of Quebec, we thoroughly enjoyed ...read more this trip.

Organised experiences were well balanced with time on our own to explore as we wished, with guidance from Matt. The hotels were all of a high standard and well situated within easy walking distance to major places of interest.

We were very fortunate to be in an unusually small group of only 16 who all got on well with each other, making the trip that much more enjoyable. Thanks Hannah from Global Journeys who assisted with our booking of this and the Globus tour of the Rockies that we did after it.
Glimpse of Eastern Canada   0 , NSW, Australia, May 2019
Very well organised tour. Hillary our tour guide was very experienced in every aspect of running this tour. She had a vast knowledge of every stop we made and always kept us entertained on long coach ride days. Our driver Roger was very experienced in each city.

We enjoyed all the stops on this tour and would recommend it as a good introduction to ...read more major eastern USA cities and eastern Canada.
Beautiful Boston to New York   0 , QLD, Australia, Oct 2018
Totally loved all aspects of the tour, never bored with amazing colour and history of such a beautiful place. Loved Boston you could get lost there for a week and it still not be enough. And New York well everyone must see New York once in their life, it's all what they say it is.
Scenic Autumn tour through New England USA and Eastern Canada 5 , WA, Australia, Oct 2018
A great time of the year to visit as the Fall tree colour was beyond spectacular and photos can't show the true beauty. All the places we visited were very interesting, but our favourites were Quebec City, Ottawa and Washington DC. All very different and with lots to see and learn about. The hotels were very comfortable with full breakfasts. Our tour ...read more director Peter Visceglia was excellent and went out of his way to make the long driving days go quickly. He also had lots of knowledge about everywhere we travelled, was personable, helpful and extremely well organised. Roger, our driver was friendly and drove in a calm, careful manner.

The travel group was 40 mainly Australians, with the others from New Zealand, UK and South Africa. Everyone got on well with each other and that also made the trip most enjoyable. We would recommend this tour especially to see the Fall colour in October and will be looking at other Globus tours for 2019.
Fantastic experience through the East Coast of USA & Canada 1 , VIC, Australia, Oct 2018
It was a perfect time for this tour. The fall foliage from Boston to Quebec to Montreal was fantastic and nothing I had ever seen before. Along the way I kept saying 'wow it's so beautiful..!'. The tour is highly recommended as it covers most of the best tourist attractions in each city. Old Quebec City, Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal and Niagara ...read more Falls in Ontario are the highlights of the tour. Great job to Globus and the local tour guide who ensured that we had our tickets ready and could enter Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal without having to queue. It really saved our time.

The pace of the tour was very good, the accommodation was very good with Delta Group Hotels and Lord Elgin being some of the best hotels. The inclusive home-made dinner with the Amish family was one of the best dinners I have ever had. It beat the meals served by the top rated restaurants. The apple pie was so delicious! Bravo to Globus to have made this tour one of the best tours I have done! Thanks to Georgie Walpole of Global Journeys who helped us with the booking, gave us a great discount and ensured the booking was smooth.
Good itinerary that ticks all of the boxes 1 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2018
I chose this tour as the dates worked around my availability and as a solo traveller it is sometimes just easier to do a tour. It ticked all the boxes for the major sites in this region for me and gave me a good overview of the area. The group was fairly large with 41 participants (I am used to tours of 16) but the tour guide and driver were both personable ...read more and very good at managing the large group and multiple personalities. The group probably took a while to come together as the first group dinner wasn't until day 3 if you took the optional, or day 4 for an included dinner.

There were a couple of really long driving days with not much going on, but I guess you just have to cope with that, as each and every destination was great once you reached it. I took all of the optional excursions and most were worth it with the exception of the cruise in Quebec City. Hotels were all very centrally located and allowed you to explore on your own for longer when you had free time and walk back to the hotel with ease.

I am pleased that I booked the tour with Yvonne from Global Journeys as she made the whole process so easy and ensured that I had all documents that I needed throughout (not everyone on the tour was so lucky). I would definitely book with Yvonne again.
Could not say anything wrong about this tour! 3 , QLD, Australia, Aug 2017
As per previous 6 tours with Globus & Cosmos another great holiday. Hotels were superb, always in middle of town, guide Bob was great and Henry the coach driver was a true gentlemen which made the trip so so nice. Could not say anything wrong about this tour!!!!! Thanks Michelle and Madeline.
Eastern USA & Canada 1 , QLD, Australia, May 2017
What a tour, the places you go are fantastic, however some place you need more time, but it gives you a idea where to go when you go back by your self and not on a tour. The coach crappy seats and some days you done a lot of kilometres. Booking with Global Journeys (Yvonne) made it easy, they sure you had nothing to worry about in booking with them. ...read more Global Journeys discount is the best in Australia.
Covered so much of New England and sout east Canada without stress 1 , VIC, Australia, Oct 2016
13 days was a perfect tour-length which enabled us to see so much more of this part of North America than we would have if we had tried to travel independently. There was a great mix of organised activities (local guides employed were fantastic) and free time to explore as well as included and independent dinners. The hotels were all in nice parts of ...read more the cities, mostly easy walking to city centre and/or places to visit during free time. The hotels were all very good quality, quiet and comfortable. Some did not have free wifi in the rooms (but available in the lobby) which was annoying. Tony, our motor coach driver, was very knowledgeable and travel was very comfortable, with appropriate distances between cities and 'comfort stops'. Alison, our tour guide, kept us all organised and pointed out interest points along the way.
Loved the variety 2 , QLD, Australia, Oct 2015
Niagara Falls was fantastic. Loved the variety; eg. Amish dinner/fall foliage/Quebec's old buildings. Montreal and Toronto underground shopping centres were an experience like nothing in Australia.
Bucket list item 1 , QLD, Australia, Oct 2015
It was a great experience and we would book with Global Journeys again. Niagara Falls was a highlight and we had plenty of time here; viewed from a helicopter (optional extra), below the falls, on the water and night-time dinner; I even got to change the colour of the lights reflecting on the falls! An excellent trip overall.
The whole tour was a fantastic experience 0 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2015
The whole tour was a fantastic experience, it was so great to see all the cities that we visited, a longer stay in some places would have been nice, but I guess we will have to try and go back at another time. The tour director, Brenda Turner, was very knowledgeable about the cities and during the coach travel between cities. We did not realize there ...read more were optional tours available, but it was great to be able to do the ones which we did. (All except Montreal dinner and Helicopter over Niagara Falls). We will look forward to doing another tour with Globus in the future. Thank you Michelle for your assistance in making this part of our trip to Canada and USA possible and so much fun, we met some very nice people from Australia, New Zealand and USA, people we can now keep in contact with through emails, etc. and maybe catch up again someday. Thanks again.
Got the best Niagara experience you could wish for 0 , QLD, Australia, Jul 2015
Our driver Xavier was also excellent in that he slowed down for any photographic opportunities. The way we did Niagara was amazing and we truly got the best Niagara experience you could wish for. We didn't go back to Niagara on the optional excursion on our subsequent cruise because we felt it would spoil our superb memories. Don't think it could ...read more have been done any better. Sheraton Hotel rooms are small and pokey and were the worst of some very good hotels. Tour Director, Scott was very knowledgeable but treated us like children - i.e repeating himself 4 and 5 times. Altogether an excellent tour with some wonderful memories.
Overall a good tour 1 , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
Overall the tour was good but realistically it depends on how much of a seasoned traveller you really are and how many tours you have undertaken in recent years! We thought the accommodation varied from good to very good - in the middle of each town within walking distance to restaurants etc but felt the level of accommodation did vary from city to ...read more city. The standard of meals offered, especially those meals provided as part of the tour were often poor whilst the optional tour meal in Quebec City was outstanding! For the CN Tower in Toronto we made separate reservations a month ahead of our arrival and secured a window seat whilst those who did the optional tour had a fixed menu and were seated towards the centre of the restaurant. We paid less for our ala carte menu/ wine than our travelling companions and we secured a window seat.

Two days contained long travelling distances of more than 600 km for each day so be prepared for 6hrs + on the coach for those days. An extra day in both Montreal and Ottawa to explore the city would have been great. Our tour guide Gary was a wealth of detailed information and gave excellent advice regarding sightseeing options & explaining the layout of a town and where to eat etc but was not always well organised which disappointed some travellers. Overall we had a good time, but expect the unexpected with any organised tour and be flexible to a certain degree.
Thoroughly enjoyable trip, Pre-paid meals were great 0 , Australia, Sep 2014
This tour is a fabulous tour, fast moving but covers quite a few kilometres and cities. The tour guide very pleasant and a wealth of information keeping us organized and on time. Coach driver helpful and always had our luggage in our room on arrival. Hotels we stayed were of a high standard. Pre-paid meals were all great. Thoroughly enjoyable trip.
Overall we had a good time, would travel with Globus again 2 , Australia, May 2014
It is really hard to judge this tour as I thought the accommodation was excellent - in the middle of each town within walking distance of restaurants etc. I was fairly disappointed at the standard of meals offered, specially on the CD tower in Toronto - we had uncomfortable seating and others on the tour independently booked this venue & had a far nicer ...read more meal for slightly less pp than we paid! And they sat on chairs which I would have preferred . (I was told I wouldn't like sitting on a chair!) I would have liked an extra day in both Montreal and Ottawa - just to walk around & explore underground Montreal would have been great! Our tour guide Mike was an excellent organiser and gave excellent advice re sightseeing options & explaining the layout of a town, however he had an irritating patter. He said the same thing every time we had the same situation eg the restaurant options are 'dead cow, dead pig, dead bird or dead vegetables' hardly an appetising thought! Overall we had a good time, met some very nice travelling companions. I would travel with Globus again but would select a slightly slower paced tour.
