Amazing tour with so much to see 1 , Auckland, New Zealand, May 2023
This was an amazing trip with a wonderful knowledgeable guide and outstanding driver. The itinerary was excellent and we saw and large amount of Iceland in the eight days. The highlights for me were seeing so many amazing waterfalls and as a bird lover the puffins were just delightful especially seeing them so close. The tour included whale watching ...read more and we did see a whale. The icebergs on the lake were also a must see. Iceland is an amazingly beautiful country that I would recommend a visit, but bring a down jacket, even in summer.
Frábær Ísland   1 , VIC, Australia, Sep 2022
We were lucky to get to see the Northern Lights on the 2nd night of tour. Unfortunately, we were not so lucky in the last three days because the fog was so thick, we could not see much. The tour director, Holm, was helpful and knowledgeable. The driver did a great job and was able to drive us to places safely despite the thick fog. Geysir is amazing ...read more but the falls are not up to our expectations. I would recommend people to see the falls in Iceland first before seeing other much bigger falls, such as Victoria Falls, Niaga Falls or Iguazu Falls because the falls in Iceland are like miniatures of those giant falls. Overall, it was an enjoyable tour with easy pace.
Iceland is like another world   1 , NSW, Australia, May 2022
We had a fantastic time on our Iceland trip. It was so different to anything we had experienced before that it was like travelling to another planet. The scenery was breathtaking and the wildlife fabulous. We will never forget the gorgeous puffins. We can highly recommend Globus and will be using them again. The standard of accommodation and meals ...read more was very high. Our guide (Holm) was very knowledgeable and professional. We never did get to try the fermented Greenland shark though.
Magic Iceland 4 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2019
A breathtaking experience. Awesome scenery at every turn though the tour could have taken us to explore Black Beach further as a group. We had the opportunity to see the Northern Lights and taste Icelandic cuisine. I believe the tour should have included a walking tour of Reykjavík and the opportunity to visit the Sun Voyager, Harpa and Church which ...read more was omitted from the tour.
Iceland was amazing 3 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2018
We both loved Iceland. It had so much to offer and the accommodation was excellent. There is so much diversity in this small country and so much to see, certainly one to add to any bucket list.
Taste of Iceland 1 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2018
This was a convenient way to see many highlights of Iceland. Stress free with no driving to do and no worries about booking accommodation and tours. Some days were very long with too much time at rest stops and insufficient time before dinner but overall we enjoyed the tour and travelled through some stunning scenery.
Spectacular Iceland   4 , QLD, Australia, Aug 2017
This is a fantastic tour to an extraordinarily, magnificent part of the world. All aspects of the tour were well organised. The Tour leader was enthusiastic, organised and informative which made for a seamless experience for us. We would thoroughly recommend this tour. Put in on your bucket list, sooner rather than later!
Fantastic Iceland   2 , NSW, Australia, Jul 2017
So much to see. Some lunch stops could have been shorter to allow more time at each amazing scenic location. Great hotels and meals.
Iceland - too much to see, too little time   7 , NSW, Australia, Jul 2017
Iceland was certainly more than I expected. The diversity of the terrain and sights - from lava fields, miles of moss covered rocks, green farmland, majestic waterfalls, ice flows, whales and hot springs - were fascinating. Holm, our tour guide, was exceptional, regaling us with Icelandic history and stories of vikings and trolls. We also had great ...read more weather with day time temperatures up to the low twenties (celcius) and lots of sunshine, amazing for the beginning of August.

The standard of accommodation was fine, considering the small population in all towns visited except Reykjavik and Akureyri. Yes, it is expensive compared to Australia but no more so than the other Nordic countries. On the whole, I found the tour to be good value when compared to other advertised tours of Iceland. I've booked several tours through Global Journeys and, as always, Yvonne provided exceptional service.
Global Journeys provided trouble free bookings and set up a great Globus Holiday in Iceland   4 , WA, Australia, Aug 2016
Global Journeys provided very helpful and professional staff who quickly dealt with our initial inquiries and our subsequent booking of our 8 Day Iceland Adventure with Globus from 28th August, 2016. The Globus Tour bus was full but very comfortable and Globus provided an excellent Icelandic Tour Leader, "Holm", was her the name I used, her full Icelandic ...read more name was unpronounceable/unspellable. We saw all of the sights and learnt a lot about the Iceland Geographic and Icelandic customs and culture from "Holm". We really enjoyed our tour it was excellent, although the weather was cold, by our standards (with outside temperatres during the day of between 8degrees C to 10degrees C) but it was rain free and sunny except for a half of one day. Our Hotel Accommodation and included meals were all of the best quality throughout the whole trip. We also did both of the additional excursions, the boat trip in Lake Jokulsarlon through the gigantic blue icebergs fed by three or four enormous Glaciers, and the float/swim in the Blue Lagoon, both were very good.
Geographically Spectacular 7 , NSW, Australia, Aug 2016
Way up there as far as scenery is concerned. Couldn't ask for more opportunities to "Ooh aah" over waterfalls, glaciers, icebergs, geysers, bubbling mud, rugged cliffs, serene valleys, verdant farmland, whales, horses, etc. Tour director was very good - knowledgable, hard working, patient, good sense of humour and tried really hard to find us a puffin. ...read more Bus was comfy with wifi. Seat rotation. Bus driver was excellent. Accommodation was probably as good as it gets in Iceland. We had no reason to complain. Meals were fine, especially the seafood and lamb. Would really recommend the whale watching. Plenty of whales putting on a show and anyone interested had the opportunity to catch a fish. A personal bonus. Blue Lagoon was great! Warm water, a mud facial, muscle relaxing plunging water and several bars within the pool made for an enjoyable afternoon.
What an amazing country 3 , Australia, Sep 2014
I really enjoyed this tour because it had so much to offer , what an amazing country with its contrasts, truly a land of fire and ice. We travelled within 160 kms of the erupting volcano and just to see the huge ash cloud spread across the horizon with the large glacier in the foreground was truly a sight I will always remember.
