We thoroughly enjoyed our Great Britain & Ireland tour. What an amazing experience with a lot packed into the tour as expected after studying the Itinerary & information provided. Booking the trip online through Tracey at Global Journeys was absolutely hassle free and highly professional with all expectations met "highly recommended". Our Globus tour ...read more and guide were well organized and very professional. However, at the start there was not a meet and greet organized for the group and as such it took a couple of days for the group to gell and the same with the last night dinner, The group had to organize our own, very poor cost cutting on Globus's behalf! Mostly the accommodation was at a good quality standard but needs to be updated in some locations. The fellow travellers comradeship on our tour was excellent with ALL getting along fabulously.

This was booked by Georgie. We loved the tour. There was a great group of people and we all got along well. We did everything including all of the extras. It was well organised and I would recommend this tour to anyone. Overall the accommodation was pretty good only one place it could have been better. Well worth it and I would do it again.

The optional excursions were excellent and a must to get the full value from the tour. The tour highlight was the Military Tattoo in Edinburgh - it's not to be missed! Nothing was too much trouble and she would go over and beyond what we would expect. Our driver, John, was so helpful and an expert with his driving skills... we felt so safe how he negotiated those narrow Irish roads with precision.

The tour was such an experience, we loved it, the scenery was to die for and we would definitely travel with Globus again. My only negative comment is in regard to a hotel in Glasgow. I thought it was sub standard with no air flow and the carpet was loose on the floor and not very clean.. A hotel that I think probably should not be in the group, though in saying that the meal provided by this hotel was very nice with good service. Maybe the tour pace a little rushed with the optional excursions and included meals. Our overall comment is great fun had by all with a very sociable group who all interacted well together and cared for others. If I could do this again I would want the very same group and tour leader so thank you Globus it's a credit to your team.

We undertook a 24 day UK tour in June 2019. The overall tour was excellent with few hiccups on the way. We found the hotel rooms quite hot with only a few being air conditioned and only a few had fridges. My pet peeve was the shower over the bath which I think is quite dangerous for seniors. An excellent coach tour run by Globus. We managed to see the best of England, Ireland and Scotland in 25 days. Our Tour Director Ann Marie was very knowledgeable and we found the history she told us very interesting and our Driver Carmaney was an extremely skillful driver who maneuvered our coach expertly down some very narrow winding roads. We would recommend Global Journeys and Globus to anyone who is considering visiting England and Ireland.

My husband and I travelled on the Globus 25 day tour of Britain and Ireland in Depth in July/August this year. We saw lots of wonderful places over the journey and enjoyed it all immensely. The tour was well organised and our Tour Director Jeff and Driver Kevin were amazing. The crowd on our coach were all friendly and we all got along very well, they were always punctual and hopefully we can catch up with some of them again.

The tour was full on and unfortunately we didn't stop for long in many places to have a bit of a relax. The weather in some parts was wet and we missed seeing much of the Ring of Kerry as it was wet and misty that day but overall the weather was not too bad and didn't stop us from sightseeing. I would recommend Globus as a tour company, they were very well organised and I liked the itinerary more than some of the others offered. The hotels we stayed in were all pretty good, some better than others but that was to be expected. We had no complaints with any of them. My only suggestion is that it would be nice if more hotels offered a more reasonable laundry service or a guest laundry on site as travelling for that amount of time, washing becomes a bit of an issue. In Killarney the hotel offered to wash a bag of clothes for 20 Euros which most people on the coach used and found it very helpful.

We didn't do many of the optional excursions but the ones we did were really enjoyable. I really liked the extra tour of Liverpool which I found very interesting. Overall we both had a great time on our tour and would recommend it to anyone. Madeline at Global Journeys did a wonderful job of booking our travel for us and would happily book with them again.

Our coach broke down a few days into our tour and we got a brand new one which was great apart from limited leg room on one side of the coach. Our fellow travellers were all lovely and we all got one really well. We will definitely do another tour through Globus.

This was a really good tour but was probably 2 -3 days too long. We were mentally and physically exhausted by the end of the tour, albeit I had spent the whole tour with undiagnosed fractures in my foot! Most of the hotels had no air conditioning or even a small fridge in the room, unlike most Australian and Continental hotels, and some even had very unsafe shower areas with no rubber mats. The actual tour, however, was fantastic - we saw everything we wanted to see and learnt things about all the sites we visited that even I (as a native born Englishman, now Aussie!) never knew. The quality of the food was really good and the optional extra sites was well thought out. In short the entire journey was well run, the coach was always on time and our luggage never lost! We would heartily recommend Global Journeys and Globus to anyone thinking of visiting the UK and Ireland. Georgie Walpole was a standout as a Tour Consultant and her efforts were much appreciated.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering a tour of these countries. Both guide and driver were very experienced and their knowledge of the region was very obvious as they interacted with all passengers throughout the tour.

I was exceptionally happy with the whole package. Definitely value for money and very professional, nothing was missed. The Tour Guide and driver were brilliant. I personally would have liked a longer tour to alleviate the one-night stops.

Also we had a medical emergency early in the trip with one of the other passengers and this was dealt with professionally and with little disruption to any others. The only suggestion we would make is that on a long trip such as this it would be good to have a couple of days to catch your breath and recharge the batteries. Thank you.

The tour exceeded our expectations, our guide Angelia and driver Carninon were exceptional. The 28 days were well balanced with some long travel days and some two or three night stops. Be aware that showers are located over baths. Wifi was available on the coach most days. The pre-night accommodation in London was very expensive for the quality of our hotel room being situated in the old part of the hotel. Many thanks to Yvonne for making our tour and flight bookings - many emails (promptly answered) allowed us to have the flights we wanted. We would definitely travel with Globus again and use Global Journeys again for future travel.

Wish we knew more about day 2 only involved driving around those top tourist attractions. On that day we only actually visited St Paul's Cathedral. Excellent tour, all meals were first class and to get a pint of beer/Guiness included was a real bonus. Tour guide and coach captain were both top class, the guide spoke for just the right amount of time.

Excellent tour - would do it again and again!! Booking and information from Global Journeys made it very easy for me to just concentrate on packing with no worries about last minute paperwork etc. Can not speak highly enough of the tour guide she was very informative and organised. Coach and hotels comfortable and lots of inclusions in this tour.

The tour was long enough to enjoy and absorb a lot of history and countryside but short enough to make the experience memorable. It was a good tour but the tour guide was more interested in himself than his clients. At one hotel I had to sleep on a sofa bed which is very poor considering the cost of the tour.
