We booked this tour knowing that it was a budget tour but we have travelled with Cosmos many times before and knew what to expect. Our experience was that it was comparable to a "Trip A Deal" holiday where you were only offered the bare bones. It seemed to us that they have removed a lot of the 'included' items which resulted in us possibly not considering ...read more booking with Cosmos again. Previously we have been very happy with Cosmos tours. The hotels were of expected quality but their location was way out of town with no options for meals or things to do after hours. You had to eat at the hotel as there was nothing else in the near vicinity.

You were obliged to take up the optional tours listed as there was limited access or options of other things to do close to the hotel and you were too far out of the city to explore on your own. Basically we were just driven from hotel to hotel rarely stopping for a photo stop. Our tour guide did give us some of the local history of the area but when arriving at the hotel didn't give any information about what was available to do or see by yourself in the area. We did see what we wanted to see and enjoyed ourselves overall.

Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Cosmos - the itinerary was fantastic and we visited some wonderful places and towns. While a very fast paced tour, we saw a lot and overall had sufficient time to take in the most important sites. Our ...read more Tour Director, Suzie, was one of the best we've ever encountered and provided us with the background and history of every town and site we visited. If you want to get a taste of what England, Scotland and Wales has to offer - this is the tour. Booking with Global Journeys was very easy and Hannah has always been very efficient and keeps us informed about our trip.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to anyone wanting to get a general overview of the UK. Madeline Lewis from Global Journeys handled my booking and it all went very smoothly, the documents arriving in plenty of time. Cosmos, the tour operator, was very efficient and highly organised and the added excursions were very well done... especially the dinner and theatre night in London... was truly the highlight of my trip.

This tour is good if you want to see a lot of Britain in a short period of time, so be prepared for many hours on the bus and quite short stops. This was an enjoyable holiday experience. Travelling at the time of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and seeing this was fantastic. Our tour guide, John, and our bus driver, Peter, were both excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and had a fantastic time. It's easy to say now that I wished we'd had more time in most cities visited, but to be fair, you don't know that until you visit them. Michael our guide was excellent. His knowledge was amazing and his sense of humour kept us entertained. Dereck our driver was great too, always very helpful and courteous (Guides and Drivers do many little things along the way to make your holiday easy and it is very much appreciated). The accommodation was really good and included meals outstanding (except one). I went on all optional excursions, except London as I had been before. They were all worth while and reasonably priced and I'm glad I did them. The meals on the optionals were outstanding too. Our coach was quite full but everyone got on really well. It's lovely to meet people from all over the world and share this experience.

This holiday was excellent in my opinion. There were only 17 in our group so it didn't take long for everyone to know each other, that makes holiday more fun. The view for the first few days were so so, but a couple of drives were really amazing, beautiful mountain views in National Parks and beautiful lake views (not raining of course). Our coach windows were not clean all the time, the back window was only really clean one day only otherwise I would have had more amazing photos. I felt the driver drove very fast and as I was sitting down the back and it was a bumpy ride. Maybe it was necessary because we needed to cover big distances and it was my choice to sit down the back so I could enjoy both sides of the view.

We had a great time. Met some lovely people & made some friends. There were a few downsides to the tour. Firstly the coach was too small eg: not enough leg room & there was no pocket in back of the seat in front to put small items.
Secondly: The Welsh night was very poor. Way too expensive for what we got. The meal was very poor. The quantity was ...read more a lot to be desired. My husbands desert was a tiny scoop of ice cream with 3 tiny slivers of pear. I only wish we had taken a photo. The whole night was not worth 66 pounds. There was another tour bus there and paid less for the same thing. The tour director was fantastic. Very knowledgeable on English history ect. He was also very friendly
and enjoyed our sense of humor. The driver was so skillful with his driving, getting the coach into places we didn't think possible.

Tour director was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable in regards to the history of places we visited. Used iPod to play songs related to places we visited which made the tour more interesting. We really enjoyed the whole trip, the weather was excellent for the time of year. The scenery was fantastic especially at the stops along the way. the main points of interest was certainly covered in England, Scotland & Wales. with a very knowledgeable tour director who also had a sense of humour. A balanced coverage of the three countries in the time allowed for the tour. I found the pace about right taking into consideration the need for some long sections between stops. Some older people found the pace a bit taxing.

The service we received from Global Journeys was excellent. We received our travel documents well in advance of our departure and nothing went wrong. We will book a trip with them again. It was fantastic to have very comfortable beds in the accommodation. Excellent breakfasts were offered each day. Always would like more time at venues, but the trade off being less things to see. The rule that we move two seats each day, alleviated us from being in the squashy seats the whole trip. A better coach would have made for a better trip. The rest of the tour was outstanding and we are the richer for the experience. Martin was outstanding with his knowledge and constant story telling of the events was much appreciated and set the scene for each stop on the itinerary.

Thumbs up to our tour guide Gavin and driver Percy. They were the best. We saw so much more than expected and enjoyed every minute.

Aside from the hiccup with my booking (but soon resolved), everything to do with the tour went wonderfully well.
