AAT Kings Outback Safari   0 , VIC, Australia, May 2021
I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Probably the only positive thing out of Covid and the fact that I couldn’t travel overseas. It’s quite a full on itinerary but that’s understandable and a couple of long days on the road but that can’t be helped because of the distance that needed to be travelled.

Safari worry free holiday 1 , New Zealand, Jul 2017
Highlights was walking around Uluru and also climbing King Canyon. The tour was well organised and Pete the tour driver was very very informative.
Had a wonderful time on our journey 0 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2015
We had a wonderful time on our journey through Central Australia. Our tour director, Dave Overton was excellent - very professional and knowledgeable. The information he imparted to us regarding the aboriginal culture and history of the specific sites and local areas was very impressive. He was always willing to answer any questions and was able ...read more to offer assistance and guidance to anyone who had specific needs. Our driver Stuart needs to be commended for his wonderful driving skills, especially on the very long drives. Both Dave and Stuart worked very well as a team. The tour covered all the main sites and attractions that Central Australia is renowned for and although it was fairly strenuous, it was what we expected. The accommodation could not be faulted except for the motel at Tennant Creek. This was definitely below par however, there appears to be renovation work being done at present, so hopefully future tours will reap the benefits of this. The meals were very good and Dave always had the right cafes, roadside stops and suggestions for food specialities etc. on offer. Loved the mango smoothies at Maceys and the barra burgers at Daly Waters Pub!!! We would thoroughly recommend this tour, however, travellers should be prepared to be on the go. There is quite a lot of walking involved but everyone is given the option of doing strenuous or leisurely walking. We have returned home for a rest!
This tour was very very very good 1 , Australia, Sep 2012
Early September was an excellent time to travel before the wet season starts and the higher temperatures and humidity start to become uncomfortable. Our tour Guide from AAT Kings, Gillian was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer any question. She also went out of her way to help anyone that needed assistance. The itinerary ran smoothly and to ...read more plan. The timing for this tour was also excellent as it was not too hot for the climbing & walking that was required to fully enjoy the different landscapes. Our coach driver Ralph was a very safe and cautious driver. We will definitely be booking our next holiday with Global Journeys. We will be recommending Global Journeys to all our friends.
Do it in September, as the weather was perfect 1 , Australia, Sep 2010
Everything about this trip was terrific. Our tour director Gail Richards was very knowledgable, efficient & a lot of fun. Paul the bus driver likewise. The bus was always clean. Accommodation along the trip was excellent until we arrived in Darwin & stayed at the Mantra Pandanus. The front desk staff were far from helpful, bordering on rude at times. ...read more All the organised exursions ran smoothly. I will be recommending this trip to any of my friends who ask. I would encourage them to do it in September, as the weather was perfect. A wonderful experience for us. Thanks.
