Overall a fantastic holiday 0 , NZ, New Zealand, Sep 2015
We did have a problem with the documents. Some confusion over who had them. James our tour director found them and had them sent on to Melbourne. The B&B was a great idea. The very long bus day was too long and uncomfortable. It would have been better to stay somewhere else on route as everyone liked the small towns better than the cities. The Adelaide ...read more hotel was horrid, the rooms were stuffy and very hot. The desk said they were having trouble with the air conditioning but never fixed it or offered new rooms so it was a poor ending to a great holiday. Overall a fantastic holiday.
We will certainly visit again 0 , United States, Oct 2014
A very good tour aptly named Taste of a Southern Australia. It is ideal to show the beauty of the area between Sydney and Adelaide via Melbourne with excellent accommodation and coach. The group on the coach were from all over the globe and made for wonderful companions. We will certainly visit again and now have a good idea of where to stay and what ...read more to see for longer periods of time. We covered a great deal of the region in 9 days and would concentrate on smaller areas the next times we come to Australia. Overall an excellent tour and highly recommended. Lastly a big thank you to Hannah of Global Journeys, who did an excellent job sorting our all our arrangements and queries from the outset.
A well organized and practiced tour 1 , Germany, Nov 2009
A well organized and practiced tour. Very good accomodations with good meals (included). Typical AAT Kings tour with an excellant bus driver and an average tour guide. It is expected from all travellers to be always on time (the only way a tour works). The travellers can see all important objects of interest during the tour. In Adelaide there is enough ...read more time to go own ways. Thanks to Georgina and Global Journeys and all the best for 2010!
No suggestions for improvement 0 , United Kingdom, Mar 2009
This was an excellent tour, and I have no suggestions for improvement. Everything was well-organized and on schedule. I spent four nights in Melbourne before joining the tour. This was particularly interesting to me, because I was stationed about 50 miles to the north in early 1942, when I was with the U.S. army during WWII. I had been back to Australia ...read more only once, in 1954. In general, Australia has changed very much (as has the U.S.) since my previous visits. But the Australian people are still very friendly and easy to get along with. It was a special plus to be with a group which was made up primarily of Australians. I cannot say enough to compliment and praise the tour guide, Lisa Cardwell. She was knowledgeable, efficient, had a great sense of humor, and made everybody feel at ease. I have been on guided tours on five continents, and she stands out as one of the very best in the business. Daryl, the coach driver, was also topnotch; and the coach itself was clean and in good mechanical condition. Thanks for the most enjoyable(and relaxing) journey.
