When can I expect to get my travel documents & itinerary?
All guests are required to register on 'Manage My Booking' before receiving trip documentation (your Travel Advisor will outline this simple process once yu have booked.) Once registered, your electronic documents will be available approximately 21 days prior to departure for download to your computer or mobile device. Luxury Gold are committed to long-term sustainability, so by choosing this paperless option, you’re supporting their efforts in limiting their carbon footprint wherever possible. Printed documents will be available on a request basis should this be more convenient for you.
Who else will be travelling with me?
Travellers who have a share a love of travel, adventure, entertainment and exploration. A mix of solo travellers, couples, and groups of friends and family join Luxury Gold from all over the English-speaking world.
How many people will be on tour with me?
All our journeys are smaller than you’ll find elsewhere, with an average of just 30 (max 40). Better still, some of our trips to Europe and other destinations are limited to 24 guests. So you can savour personal service and companionship – and faster, smoother travel, with fewer people disembarking at each destination.
Luxury Gold is pleased to introduce small group departures of a maximum of 24 guests, for selected dates on our amazing European itineraries. On all our Indochina itineraries we have a maximum of 26 guests.
Will my coach journey be relaxing?
A luxury Gold trip will include journeying on high-speed trains, alpine cable cars, hydrofoils, river cruisers and horse-drawn carriages, in addition to their high-deck luxury coaches with extra legroom. Seat rotation each day guarantees everyone gets to enjoy the great views, while travelling head and shoulders above the other traffic.
Do Luxury Gold coaches have WiFi?
As part of Luxury Gold's offering, they include free Wi-Fi access while travelling on-board their luxury coaches in Europe and North America. A complimentary Wi-Fi service is also available in many of their Luxury Gold hotel guestrooms. When such a service is not available, complimentary Wi-Fi will be available in the public areas of most hotels. Please be aware that due to bandwidth, the coach Wi-Fi works on a 3G mobile phone network so the connection will be slower than standard home broadband and at times may not be available.
How much luggage can I bring?
Luggage handling of one suitcase per person, at each guided holiday hotel and porter service at airports for intraair inclusive guided holidays, is included in the guided holiday price. Due to limited motorcoach capacity, a single bag is allowed with dimensions not 77.5x56x32cm (30.5”x22”x 12.5”) and weight not exce eding 66 lbs. (30kg). Carry-on/hand luggage is restricted to one piece per person, not exceeding 12”x11”x6” (30x28x14 cm) to fit under your motorcoach seat or in the small overhead compartment.
VIP door to door transfers sound great!
Luxury Gold guests can relax right from the start with their exclusive door-to-door private transfer service. They collect you from your front door in a wonderfully appointed executive car reserved exclusively for your use, ensuring an uninterrupted, hassle-free journey to your departure airport. Upon arrival at your destination you’ll also enjoy the same VIP transfer service to your hotel. At the end of your holiday, on arrival at your chosen airport, you will be greeted by your waiting driver in the arrivals hall and escorted to your car for the smooth and comfortable journey directly back home.
This exclusive service is applicable to Luxury Gold trips to Europe, Africa, Asia, India. Restrictions: Home to airport and airport to home transfers are valid for up to 50km from major Australian international airports: Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth & Sydney*.
I want to see all the main sights, but will I have time to explore on my own?
Your journey delicately balances organised events with personal leisure time – which your Travelling Concierge can help you plan. Leaving
plenty of time to indulge in luxurious hotel amenities and spa treatments. And on Relaxed Start days, you wonʼt set off before 9am.
What is included in the trip cost?
Our website prices include everything that is listed in the itineraries: all luxury accommodation; all sightseeing, admissions and VIP access; all motorcoach, cruise or rail transportation; the services of a professional Travelling Concierge; all meals and fine dining, as noted in the itinerary; and all luggage handling. Plus, all tips for services from Local Experts, dining-room staff, housekeeping and porters at hotels, airports, docks and train stations are also included. You can also opt to have the tips for your Driver and Travelling Concierge included too.
Do you have a share program for singles?
If you are travelling alone, we’ll room-match you with someone of the same gender, so you don’t have to pay the single room supplement. Please note that a no-smoking policy applies in all shared rooms. This offer does not apply to additional accommodation, stopovers, airfares or flight supplements, Jewels of the Aegean, any rail or cruise portion of a trip, the Rocky Mountaineer train, Asia, South America, Alaska, Hawaii, and India trips.
What is Luxury Gold Travel Protection?
Luxury Gold Protection is designed to provide you with peace of mind. For $99 should you choose to cancel your guided holiday for any reason, prior to 30 days from departure date, Insight will refund your deposit and/or guided holiday payment. Luxury Gold Protection must be paid with the deposit and cannot be added at any later date. If you wish for us to include this protection in your quote, please let us know when completing your 'Quote Request'.
Do you accommodate special needs?
Luxury Gold make every effort to accommodate any special needs requests, whether it be a dietary restriction or a physical limitation. In order to accommodate your needs as best as possible, we ask that you let your Global Journeys Travel Advisor know at time of booking so we can assess the request and see how and where we can accommodate you.We may ask you to fill out a form depending on the request in order for us to assess how and if we can accommodate.
