  “Fantastic Western Canada”
Trip:    Trip Date: 02/07/2017    Overall Rating: 5/5
We had a fabulous time on our tour. We had a wonderful tour director (Vedrana Ascroft) and a highly competent driver, John. Although we were very busy on this tour there was still enough free time and having a number of 2 night stops was most welcome. This tour was highly organised and it all went very smoothly. The Canadian Rockies are magnificent and there were numerous photo opportunities. This tour was our first and 13 days was a good length of time. We had some delicious included meals and most of the accommodation was very good to excellent.

The Fairmont Hotel in Whistler was particularly good, as was the breakfast there. Our coach was a new one and very comfortable with lots of leg room and free wi fi on board. Highlights were the Butchart Gardens and the dinner there in the old family home and the Peak to peak gondola in Whistler. Traveling through the Columbia Icefields and a ride out onto the Athabasca Glacier was also very enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour.

“Great way to see some of Scandinavia ”
Trip:    Trip Date: 30/06/2017    Overall Rating: 4/5
A great way to see some amazing places in Scandinavia. We visited a diverse range of attractions, saw some spectacular scenery and interacted with some incredible people. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided us with wonderful insights into the places and people we were visiting. Our accommodation was pretty good - although many of us really missed our evening cuppa with few places having tea/coffee facilities. The optional excursions were often expensive with many opting to do them on their own for considerably less cost. Overall - very happy with the trip and the wonderful memories we have.

  “Coach Tour First timer”
Trip:    Trip Date: 23/06/2017    Overall Rating: 5/5
This was my first time travelling on a coach tour and travelling on my own as a single as I have always self-driven with a companion in the past. I enjoyed Gladys as tour director she was patient, fun and very knowledgeable about all parts of the tour. It was a great tour party and mix of people who made me feel as a single very comfortable. It was nice to be put on a table on the cruise with people on the tour it made it feel like meeting with friends every night.

  “Awesome tour”
Trip:    Trip Date: 19/06/2017    Overall Rating: 5/5
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Everything was so well organised and it was a lovely stress free holiday. Our tour guide Andrew was awesome and so knowledgeable. The included sightseeing was great and the optional excursions that we did were really worth doing. The hotels were all good, apart from Inverness. The hotel there was very old and a few people on our tour had no hot water at all during our two night stay. Our coach broke down a few days into our tour and we got a brand new one which was great apart from limited leg room on one side of the coach. Our fellow travellers were all lovely and we all got one really well. We will definitely do another tour through Globus.

Our tour of Austria and Switzerland was magic. Among our highlights were visits to Vienna, Salzburg, Zermatt and Berne. Among optional tour highlights were visits to Hitler's Eagle's Nest, the Matterhorn Glacial Paradise, Trummelbach Falls and Mount Pilatus. I would recommend this tour to everyone. The tour operator, Globus, as always did a marvellous job. I would recommend Global Journeys for their professionalism and competitive prices.

“Tour was up there with the best”
Trip:    Trip Date: 04/06/2017    Overall Rating: 5/5
The tour was up there with the best. The tour director was very knowledgeable of the route and its history and was very helpful with all requests, large or small. The driver was quite excellent and experienced with the roads in alpine areas. Hotels were adequate, the ski lodge type stuff a bit rougher. There were too many optionals on offer, about one a day, which diluted the actual tour. Fellow travellers very friendly and an interesting grouping of nations and origins. No major hassles.

  “Great trip!”
Trip:    Trip Date: 04/06/2017    Overall Rating: 4/5
An easy way to take the stress out of travel. Good hotels, good inclusions and some great extra excursions. Seeing Swan Lake in St Petersburg was an unforgettable highlight. The tour guides were knowledgeable and very friendly and the bus driver was a legend. The Baltic Countries were fascinating but I loved Russia and would recommend it in a heartbeat, despite the insane traffic!

  “Excellent Holiday ”
Trip:    Trip Date: 03/06/2017    Overall Rating: 5/5
From beginning to end the tour was just a pleasure to be part of. We had excellent group of folk...all willing to make it good for everyone else. Our tour guide,Gail, was just perfect. Making everything so clear so as to not be in doubt as to the schedule and very clear in giving the history of places on the tour. We have no regrets whatsoever. This trip will always have good memories for us.

Globus FAQ's

Some of the frequently asked questions Globus receive from their clients
Will I be travelling with people from other countries?

Globus is an international company. As such, you will be travelling with like-minded enthusiasts from countries as diverse as the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, as well as Europe and Asia regions. The average number of people on a Globus tour is 36, and we limit the number of tour members on our tours to a maximum of 44. Small groups of this size allow you more space, comfort and legroom.

What is a single room supplement?

Single rooms cost extra and are often quite small. We do not take reservations on a "share" basis. Sidestep the single room supplement by traveling with a friend. It is less expensive and much more fun.

When can I expect to get my travel documents & itinerary?

Travel documents, including any air tickets, tour itinerary, hotel lists, and helpful hints and other information are sent approximately 20-30 days prior to your tour departure. Your Global Journeys Tour Consultant can organise these earlier if you are travelling before your holiday starts.

Can children travel on Globus tours?

An adult must accompany travellers who are less than 18 years old on the tour departure date; the child receives a 10% discount on the land tour price. We do not accept children under the age of 8 on escorted tours, because we have found they are too young to enjoy these holidays. On our independent tours (Monograms), there is no minimum age requirement.

Am I expected to pay gratuities?

For all departures we offer the option to pre-pay your gratuities. This option gives you a greater capacity to manage your holiday budget which means you will no longer need to reach into your pocket at the conclusion of your tour to pay your Tour Director and driver for their service. Please note that pre-paid gratuities cover only the land portion operated by Globus of the tour itinerary. Where we source other leading operators for cruising, rail or local guided elements of your holiday, the option to pre-pay your gratuities is not available.

How much luggage can I bring?

Porterage for one suitcase per person travelling is included in the holiday price. Airport and train station porterage is not included. Your single bag should not exceed the dimensions of 76 x 53 x 28cm (30" x 21" x 11") and weight of 22kg (50lbs). Carry-on luggage is limited to one bag per person travelling and must not exceed the dimensions of 30 x 28 x 14cm (12" x 11" x 6"). For safety reasons, wheeled carry on bags are not suitable and will not be permitted as hand luggage on the coaches. Carry-on bags must be small enough to store in overhead bins or under the seat of you.

Can I book optional excursions before travel?

You can pre purchase selected optional excursions for your tour between 90 and 10 days prior to departure, on departures which have been placed onto a "Guaranteed Departure" status. Your Global Journeys Tour Consultant will provide more information to you at the time.

What are the standard bed configurations?

Every effort is made to reserve only twin-bedding room. Occasionally, some hotels will only provide double-bedded rooms. These rooms will be allocated to couple where possible. If your preference is for a double bed, please request this at time of booking. Please note that as we do not own the hotels, and it is the hotels themselves that undertake the room allocation, double rooms are only a request and cannot be guaranteed.

Are there laundry facilities?

Most hotels offer a laundry service, however it can sometimes be costly. Alternatively, some cities offer Laundromats.

What is SafetyNet Protection?

Globus is dedicated to ensuring your trip is worry and hassle free, even when booking. Should you be uncertain what your commitments will be leading up to your departure, Globus offer an optional SafetyNet Protection policy for an additional fee. Read more here.

Is there Wi-Fi on the coach?

We need to highlight free wireless availability in coaches is not offered on local coaches used for transfers or occasionally for sightseeing tours. Wireless service is not available in some countries and certain regions of other countries that do not have Wi-Fi service coverage. Downloading is not available on the coaches but you can do this in the hotels. Please check with the hotel reception or concierge where the free Wi-Fi is located in each hotel.

What can my London Host offer me?

Unlike other tour operators Globus has 50 hosts located at the airport and in each of our London hotels, so you only have to walk to the lobby not half way across London for assistance. Your host is there to help you with all your questions on London, they will provide you with maps, directions and a wide range of tours to ensure you see the best of London. Whether it be a city orientation tour, or dinner and a West End show your host will provide you with all the information and assistance you require.

Can I change my mind after booking?

Should you be uncertain what your commitments will be leading up to your departure, Globus offers an optional SafetyNet Protection policy for an additional fee. SafetyNet Protection must be paid at the time of the tour deposit and is payable per person per booking (not per tour) and is non-refundable . Read more here.

I'm finding it difficult to match two tours together?

You can add pre/post tour accommodation to your reservation. This price does include breakfast on Globus tours. Please note that hotels are subject to change but by booking your pre/post accommodation with us this ensures that if your hotel changes then we will try to change your pre/post accommodation to the same hotel. On the rare occasions that there is no available then alternative accommodation will be reserved at a hotel of equivalent standard. If this does occur than the transfer between the hotels will be at our expense.

Why is my contact information collected when I book?
