“Excellent Globus Tour of Jordan”
- QLD, Australia Mar 2019 1 Helpful Vote

Our tour of Jordan was excellent. Our Tour Guides Saddam and Osama were first class, were very knowledgeable, funny and considerate. The tour was overbooked so they ran 2 coaches and each group stayed in different hotels, but they were all 5 star.

The Petra day was long and quite tiring because of the distance covered on foot but was amazing and certainly worth it. This was our first trip with Globus and we would have no trouble recommending them. Our booking with Jemma from Global Journeys was first class.

“Enjoyable tour with an excellent guide”
- WA, Australia Feb 2019 View Photo

Enjoyed every day of the tour. Our guide (Steve O.) was excellent - considerate of everyone and very knowledgeable (~ 30 years experience at various jobs in Yellowstone). For me the highlight of the tour was the Day 3 Geyser walk. When we gathered outside the Lodge at 9 am the outside thermometer showed -30C and everyone agreed that it got even colder towards the end of the walk when the path went down a slight slope to a lower lying area - an easy walk and a good test of one's "layers".

“British Escape ”
- WA, Australia Jan 2019

Enjoyed Stonehenge and Bath and the other stops on the way to Liverpool. Arrived in Liverpool too late to see much on the City Tour but the Cavern Club was good. Going north, the stop at Gretna Green was a waste of time - a dreadful little tourist trap. Enjoyed Edinburgh and the Castle tour, and the Scottish Night dinner was great entertainment, but not sure about the tiny little thing they served up as "haggis" (NB the rest of the meal was fine). I had a wonderful lunch of "Haggis, neaps & tatties" at little pub, walking from the Castle back to the hotel the next day.

“Family tour of Rome, Florence and Venice”
- NSW, Australia Dec 2018 5 Helpful Votes

Excellent tour director covering all the landmarks in Rome, Florence and Venice. Local guides in each city provided passionate descriptions about the history. The optional tours are a must; the optional dinners, not so much. Only gripe was the hotels - tiny rooms in Venice, barely able to walk around the bed; too hot in rooms - could not achieve comfortable sleeping temperature. Booking through Global Journeys was excellent - everything as described and all paperwork delivered well in advance of the tour.

“Value for money with Globus”
- VIC, Australia Dec 2018

Excellent hotels and quality included breakfast and dinner. Nicely paced tour with adequate free time to relax and chill out. The best value for money tour I have taken by far. The tour director Osama was a gem. He was very knowledgeable and funny and made the trip so much more enjoyable. Thanks Georgie for the booking.

“9 Day European Escape”
- WA, Australia Dec 2018 5 Helpful Votes

Loved the trip. Very nice hotels, good food. Tour guide kept us informed of all events. For me it was a hassle free trip. I'd certainly consider another tour with Globus. Only 2 comments, I wasn't given the option of travel to London and I was told I needed to book and pay for added excursions before I left Australia. That was not the case for other travellers, they booked and paid as they went. (GJ. Globus highly recommend travellers pre-book their excursions before they leave in case due to availability, however it's not compulsory.)

“German Escape with Globus”
- NSW, Australia Nov 2018 3 Helpful Votes

The German Escape was a great tour, and really good value. The hotels were all very nice, the tour guides were informative and helpful. We would recommend this tour. Only small negative was that it was a little fast paced, sometimes wished for a few extra minutes or a pause to take more photos.

What a terrific way to get a slight taste of these areas. Iguassu and Buenos Aires were major highlights. Hotels were consistently outstanding.

Superior Hotels

On a tour with Globus, we've pre-screened and selected hotels for their comfort, cleanliness, attractiveness and convenient location, often within mere steps from the greatest cities. For example, while other Tour Operators choose hotels outside of Venice, our Italian tours put you right in the heart of the city!

Furthermore, we know that relaxing at the end of the day is essential when you're on holidays. The last thing you want to do is stand at check-in and wrestle with suitcases. That's why we take all that hassle away – your Tour Director handles check-in and all your bags are delivered to your room. Plus, we take care of the porterage gratuity for you.

Expert Tour Directors & Local Guides

With Globus, you travel in the company of genuine local experts – Tour Directors and Local Guides who are actually from the region through which you're travelling.

They will share their in depth knowledge, as well as point you in the right direction to get the most out of your free time.

Local Favourites

You never have to settle for a cookie-cutter itinerary with Globus. We help you truly experience the world like an insider! Our exclusive Local Favourites introduce you to your destination's hidden gems with behind-the-scenes activities you typically couldn't do on your own.

In addition to Local Favourites, your Globus tour always includes the major attractions. In fact, Globus offers you more included features than any other Tour Operator—plus, by using the relationships we've forged over the last eight decades, you get special VIP access at the must-see attractions. Travel In Style

On a Globus tour, private luxury motorcoaches include all the modern comforts you'd expect...air conditoning, an emergency restroom, plush seats with extra leg room so there's plenty of room to stretch out and relax.

Plus, on the few longer driving stretches, we plan stops every two hours. Plus the things you don't...Free wireless - to cater for today's technology-driven traveller, intergrated video monitors, enhanced audio systems, an average group size of just 36 travellers!

Globus Tour FAQ's

Frequently asked questions for clients considering travelling with Globus

Before I book
Will I be travelling with people from other countries?

Globus is an international company. As such, you will be travelling with like-minded enthusiasts from countries as diverse as the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, as well as Europe and Asia regions. The average number of people on a Globus tour is 36, and we limit the number of tour members on our tours to a maximum of 44. Small groups of this size allow you more space, comfort and legroom.

What is a single room supplement?

Single rooms cost extra and are often quite small. We do not take reservations on a "share" basis. Sidestep the single room supplement by traveling with a friend. It is less expensive and much more fun.

When can I expect to get my travel documents & itinerary?

Travel documents, including any air tickets, tour itinerary, hotel lists, and helpful hints and other information are sent approximately 20-30 days prior to your tour departure. Your Global Journeys Travel Advisor can organise these earlier if you are travelling before your holiday starts.

Can children travel on Globus tours?

An adult must accompany travellers who are less than 18 years old on the tour departure date; the child receives a 10% discount on the land tour price. We do not accept children under the age of 8 on escorted tours, because we have found they are too young to enjoy these holidays. On our independent tours (Monograms), there is no minimum age requirement.

Am I expected to pay gratuities?

For all departures Globus offer the option to pre-pay your gratuities. This option gives you a greater capacity to manage your holiday budget which means you will no longer need to reach into your pocket at the conclusion of your tour to pay your Tour Director and driver for their service.

Please note that pre-paid gratuities cover only the land portion operated by Globus of the tour itinerary. Where we source other leading operators for cruising, rail or local guided elements of your holiday, the option to pre-pay your gratuities is not available.

Before I depart
How much luggage can I bring?

Porterage for one suitcase per person travelling is included in the holiday price. Airport and train station porterage is not included. Your single bag should not exceed the dimensions of 76 x 53 x 28cm (30" x 21" x 11") and weight of 22kg (50lbs). Carry-on luggage is limited to one bag per person travelling and must not exceed the dimensions of 30 x 28 x 14cm (12" x 11" x 6"). For safety reasons, wheeled carry on bags are not suitable and will not be permitted as hand luggage on the coaches. Carry-on bags must be small enough to store in overhead bins or under the seat of you.

Can I book optional excursions before travel?

You can pre purchase selected optional excursions for your tour between 90 and 10 days prior to departure, on departures which have been placed onto a "Guaranteed Departure" status. Your Global Journeys Travel Advisor will provide more information to you at the time.

What are the standard bed configurations?

Every effort is made to reserve only twin-bedding room. Occasionally, some hotels will only provide double-bedded rooms. These rooms will be allocated to couple where possible. If your preference is for a double bed, please request this at time of booking. Please note that as we do not own the hotels, and it is the hotels themselves that undertake the room allocation, double rooms are only a request and cannot be guaranteed.

Are there laundry facilities?

Most hotels offer a laundry service, however it can sometimes be costly. Alternatively, some cities offer Laundromats.

What is SafetyNet Protection?

Globus is dedicated to ensuring your trip is worry and hassle free, even when booking. Should you be uncertain what your commitments will be leading up to your departure, Globus offer an optional SafetyNet Protection policy for an additional fee. Read more here.

Is there Wi-Fi on the coach?

Globus coaches offer free wireless internet connection whilst touring. This allows you to browse online and share your experience with your friends and family back home. We need to highlight free wireless availability in coaches is not offered on local coaches used for transfers or occasionally for sightseeing tours. Wireless service is not available in some countries and certain regions of other countries that do not have Wi-Fi service coverage. Downloading is not available on the coaches but you can do this in the hotels. Please check with the hotel reception or concierge where the free Wi-Fi is located in each hotel.

On the road
What can my London Host offer me?

Unlike other tour operators Globus has 50 hosts located at the airport and in each of our London hotels, so you only have to walk to the lobby not half way across London for assistance. Your host is there to help you with all your questions on London, they will provide you with maps, directions and a wide range of tours to ensure you see the best of London. Whether it be a city orientation tour, or dinner and a West End show your host will provide you with all the information and assistance you require.

Can I change my mind after booking?

Should you be uncertain what your commitments will be leading up to your departure, Globus offers an optional SafetyNet Protection policy for an additional fee. SafetyNet Protection must be paid at the time of the tour deposit and is payable per person per booking (not per tour) and is non-refundable . Read more here.
