  “Enjoyable Tour”
Trip:    Trip Date: 22/06/2017    Overall Rating: 4/5
Busy tour had good tour director. Hotels well situated and included meals good. The two optional dinners were very good with plenty of food and the wine flowed all night. Overall good value for money.

  “Easy Greece”
Trip:    Trip Date: 17/06/2017    Overall Rating: 3/5
My first tour experience was much as I expected: easy and pleasant with some less pleasant side effects. The guide and driver were terrific, as were my fellow travellers, and of course Greece itself. The early mornings, heat and exertion all took their toll by week's end but that made the rooftop pool at Meteora even more welcome. The hotels and their food were uneven in quality but all except one had excellent staff. I would prefer to have more choice of venues for lunch: being trapped in large impersonal 'restaurants' selling expensive poor quality food to sometimes as many as 3 coaches for an hour or so became the lowlight of my days. A small town with a few shops/café choices would have suited me and at least half a dozen of my fellow travellers much better.

  “Majestic Canada Wonderful”
Trip:    Trip Date: 16/06/2017    Overall Rating: 4/5
Thank you Hannah for looking after our booking. Every thing went as smooth as silk. From making our payments to receiving our documents. Jennifer our Cosmos tour guide was excellent so was our coach driver Jeff. 51 people on the coach & no one was late ever. Float plane & Peak to Peak in Whistler was Magic. Maligne Lake & Spirit Island was very picturesque. Optional tour not to miss. Due to our hotel in Banff having a fire early in year we had 3 one nights in a row. Cosmos gave us a free dinner. What a great night it was. We went to a ranch had a BBQ, hay ride, country music & line dancing. Disappointed in cruise. Ports were full of shops & cruise ships. Glacier Bay was magic the best part of the cruise. Overall value for money yes. Beautiful photos of snow cap mountains & waterfalls for memories. Would I book with Global Journeys again. Yes Yes.
P.S.In Vancouver at Canada Place Fly Over Canada is a must!

  “Majestic Canadian Rockies & Alaska”
Trip:    Trip Date: 16/06/2017    Overall Rating: 4/5
Great tour especially through the Rockies - awesome views, great weather, great tour director and coach driver. Special thanks to Cosmos for extra-free visit to Boundary Ranch with free B.B.Q dinner. Tour Director Jennifer was exceptional with her guidance and superb knowledge of the region. Buchart Gardens were breathtaking. All-in-all an excellent tour.

Inside passage on Holland America was awesome-especially the Glaciers in Glacier Bay. Ship Vollandam considered a bit second hand but entertainment was good and food great. Consider that service fee requested was far too steep and would question if Holland America distributed total evenly to all employees. However, the sea tour overall was great. Thanks Jemma for your input which we consider was very helpful.

Trip:    Trip Date: 11/06/2017    Overall Rating: 5/5
A must for everyone. The best of the best of Italy. There wasn't much we didn't see and wow what we did see was totally awesome. Loved everything. The tour totally covered the best of Italy from north to south. A must for people who want to see the main attractions and learn about Italy. A great tour guide and group of people, an unforgettable tour.

  “Wonderful trip”
Trip:    Trip Date: 10/06/2017    Overall Rating: 3/5
Well organised tour director but she was not able to say anything about Holland America tour and extra options. So, how to know about Holland America extra options? For example we paid US$250 for 'Tracy Arm Fjord & Glacier' extra option to witness falling of icebergs in Sawyer Glacier. But on the fourth day, the ship itself was taking us to Glacier Bay which is bigger and better and much more exciting.

  “Great value for money”
Trip:    Trip Date: 10/06/2017    Overall Rating: 4/5
This is a great value for money tour. We booked the Gold Leaf Rocky Mountaineer and it is worth the money paid for the service on the train and the accommodation in Kamloops. The views from the train is just majestic. Those towns like Banff, Sun Peaks , Jasper Whistler and Lake Louise are equally scenic and beautiful.

The accommodation in Banff which is Bow Lodge is a bit dated compared to the other accommodation that we have. The tour director and bus driver is okay. We make some good friends on the tour and it helped to make our holiday enjoyable.

  “Great Viking Tour Trip”
Trip:    Trip Date: 09/06/2017    Overall Rating: 4/5
Very happy with Cosmos trip. Well organised and everything went to plan. Tour director was fun, very informative and helpful. Scandinavia's a must see if you never been. It is rich in history and culture and most of all very scenic. Most beautiful country. Only setback is too many other fellow travellers like myself at the same place same time, so be prepared for queues.

“An experience I am glad I took.”
Trip:    Trip Date: 09/06/2017    Overall Rating: 4/5
A trip that was on my bucket list and am so glad I decided to go. Rather daunting doing it by myself but decided I have to get used to doing these type of things on my own since losing my husband. Having the transfer from the airport to the hotel on arrival was a great relief and I arrived a couple of days in advance of the tour just in case there was a hitch with the airlines. Biggest problem was not being able to read the signs especially on the ticket machines for the metro. Everyone spoke English once they realised you were looking at them blankly. The tour bus was comfortable though my poor knees didn't like the climbing up the stairs all the time. I made an effort to fit in from the first night by asking if I could join a couple at their for our first free dinner. We became good friends by the end of the tour. The travelling time was long but we had plenty of breaks every 2 hours for rest stops and food.

Norway was my favourite country as it was so pretty and even though it was their summer we came across snow which we could play in which was a bonus. There were 46 on the coach and the only negative was that in the 12 days we never got to know everyone as we had no 'meet and greet' at the beginning of the tour. Some of the travellers' were of different nationalities and were inclined to keep to themselves and unless you went up and approached a person and asked for their name you would not have got to know them. The hotel staff at all our stops were friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable.

“A comprehensive tour of the British Isles”
Trip:    Trip Date: 08/06/2017    Overall Rating: 5/5
Our tour guide, Christina, was excellent. She had enormous knowledge of the places that we visited, as well as the history, culture, current affairs issues, trivia and even some great jokes. She was very friendly and helpful. The tour bus and driver were excellent. The hotels and meals were very good. We saw so much on this tour.

Cosmos FAQ's

Some of the frequently asked questions Cosmos receive from their clients
Will I be travelling with people from other countries?

Cosmos is an international company. As such, you will be travelling with like-minded enthusiasts from countries as diverse as the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, as well as Europe and Asia regions.

What if I am travelling alone?

More than one third of Cosmos' clients travel alone. Because Cosmos strives to offer the best value for money, we feel it is unfair to charge an expensive single room supplement without offering an alternative. We therefore can provide clients with a 'guaranteed share' facility. This means that we charge singles the basic per person price and match up singles of the same gender in twin-bedded rooms. If we cannot find a roommate for a tour member who has booked on a 'guaranteed share' basis, we will absorb the single room supplement. For mutual comfort, we do adopt a no-smoking rule in shared rooms. 'Guaranteed share' cannot be offered for pre and post tour accommodation. 'Guaranteed share' basis is unavailable on certain vacations.

What is a single room supplement?

If you prefer the privacy of your own room, this can be arranged for you with an extra fee. Single supplement prices are listed on each itinerary page.

When can I expect to get my travel documents & itinerary?

Travel documents, including any air tickets, tour itinerary, hotel lists, and helpful hints and other information are sent approximately 20-30 days prior to your tour departure. Your Global Journeys Tour Consultant can organise these earlier if you are travelling before your holiday starts.

Am I expected to pay gratuities?

It is customary worldwide to pay tips to Tour Directors and Drivers on all international vacations and these are not included in your quote. The option to prepay these tips prior to departure is possible however. Please ask your Tour Consultant to include this in your quote. You will receive gratuity vouchers with your travel documents and all you need to do is give this to the Tour Director, Driver, Cruise Director at the end of the holiday.

How much luggage can I bring?

Porterage for one suitcase per person travelling is included in the holiday price. Airport and train station porterage is not included. Your single bag should not exceed the dimensions of 76 x 53 x 28cm (30" x 21" x 11") and weight of 22kg (50lbs). Carry-on luggage is limited to one bag per person travelling and must not exceed the dimensions of 30 x 28 x 14cm (12" x 11" x 6"). For safety reasons, wheeled carry on bags are not suitable and will not be permitted as hand luggage on the coaches. Carry-on bags must be small enough to store in overhead bins or under the seat of you.

Can I book optional excursions before travel?

You can pre purchase selected optional excursions for your tour between 90 and 10 days prior to departure, on departures which have been placed onto a "Guaranteed Departure" status. Your Global Journeys Tour Consultant will provide more information to you at the time.

What are the standard bed configurations?

Every effort is made to reserve only twin-bedding room. Occasionally, some hotels will only provide double-bedded rooms. These rooms will be allocated to couple where possible. If your preference is for a double bed, please request this at time of booking. Please note that as we do not own the hotels, and it is the hotels themselves that undertake the room allocation, double rooms are only a request and cannot be guaranteed.

Are there laundry facilities?

Most hotels offer a laundry service, however it can sometimes be costly. Alternatively, some cities offer Laundromats.

Is there Wi-Fi on the coach?

Cosmos coaches offer free wireless internet connection whilst touring. This allows you to browse online and share your experience with your friends and family back home. We need to highlight free wireless availability in coaches is not offered on local coaches used for transfers or occasionally for sightseeing tours. Wireless service is not available in some countries and certain regions of other countries that do not have Wi-Fi service coverage. Downloading is not available on the coaches but you can do this in the hotels. Please check with the hotel reception or concierge where the free Wi-Fi is located in each hotel.

What is SafetyNet Protection?

Cosmos is dedicated to ensuring your trip is worry and hassle free, even when booking. Should you be uncertain what your commitments will be leading up to your departure, Cosmos offer an optional SafetyNet Protection policy for an additional fee. Read more here.

I'm finding it difficult to match two tours together?

Have you considered pre or post tour accommodation? Cosmos offer fantastic rates hard to find elsewhere and this may enable you to select sequential tours with minimal disruption to your intended travel plans.

What does the tour cost include?

Our packages take in each destinations's most popular highlights. They are carefully planned to include visits to places of interest and panoramic drives through areas of natural beauty. There's so much for you to look forward to!

Why is my contact information collected when I book?

There may be times when unforeseen events beyond our control impacttravel schedules and potentially disrupt cruises, tours, or packages.
