After marrying Emperor Franz Joseph I at 16 years of age, Elisabeth of Bavaria (Sisi) was Empress of Austria and later Queen of Hungary during the Habsburg Empire.

New for 2019, on select departures, follow in the footsteps of Sisi as you embark on an imperial train journey. Enjoy a Welcome Reception at Budapest Station's Royal Waiting Room, then board your elegant steam train, which features some carriages from the early 1900s. A traditional game lunch worthy of royalty is served, before disembarking for a guided tour of Gödöll? Palace. The palace was a coronation gift when Franz Joseph I and Sisi were crowned King and Queen of Hungary, and was also known to be a favourite residence of Sisi’s.

Princess Heide von Hohenzollern welcomes guests travelling on our Magnificent Europe river cruises into her home, Namedy Castle. Be whisked away to the magnificent City Palace in the heart of Vienna for a Cocktail Reception and private concert, featuring classical masterpieces by Strauss and Mozart, as well as a performance from members of the acclaimed Mozart Boys’ Choir.
