  “Kangaroo Island”
Trip:    Trip Date: 14/09/2017    Overall Rating: 5/5
Impressed with AAT Kings organisation. Overall the hotel accommodation was good and the meals provided were of good quality. Main complaint was that there were no separate shower recesses - only shower over baths. I find it difficult to get in and out of baths. Perhaps when filling in future details there be space to check that need.

Well organised independent look at Far North Queensland. Tours to Cape Tribulation, the Reef andKurunda were well designed to experience the areas in a short amount of time. Accommodation excellent!

We had the best trip thanks to AAT Kings and our wonderful Tour director Dave and Best bus driver Warren. They made our trip trouble free and everything ran to plan. They do a fantastic job and Daves knowledge is unbelievable. The places we stayed were wonderful and the food was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the outback show in Katherine. The flight over the Bungle bungles was a special treat.

Trip:    Trip Date: 10/08/2017    Overall Rating: 4/5
As it was our first time to Kakadu we found it to be very enjoyable, covering all aspects that was of interest in that part of the country, our first day lunch time was cut a bit short but I understand the distance that had to be travelled. Overall a most enjoyable trip.

  “First rate wild Kimberleys trip”
Trip:    Trip Date: 08/08/2017    Overall Rating: 5/5
Thanks for your assistance booking our trip. We really enjoyed ourselves seeing places we had been curious about for a long time. We would have no hesitation in booking with Global Journeys again or recommending this trip to others. The itinerary was packed with interest and we were more than happy with the meals and accommodation. The weather in the north at this time of the year suited us well. Our tour director and coach driver were particularly efficient, friendly and helpful. Our fellow travellers were a good bunch and everyone got along well. I really can't suggest any improvements over what we received. We thought that the trip was very good value for money. We took part in only one optional extra which was the Willy Creek pearl farm in Broome on our free day which was all the extras that we wanted.

We had a wonderful holiday thanks to our tour director Liz ,driver Mark and a good touring group that made our trip very enjoyable, from Broome to Darwin we visited a lot of incredible locations our favourite places would have to be El Questro, the Ord river cruise and the full day tour of Bungle Bungles, most of the accommodation and meals were very good considering places we visited although it involves a lot of travelling and a hectic schedule it was all worth it we would definitely travel with AAT Kings and book through Global Journeys again, thanks Jemma.

Very informative coach driver, going into the past history of Darwin and the Aboriginal surrounding lands. Quite fast paced as only a three day trip covering a large area. Accommodation was pretty basic, in need of an update, included meals were reasonably good,

“Wonderful trip through The Top End”
Trip:    Trip Date: 23/07/2017    Overall Rating: 4/5
Excellent tour guide Tony! Very knowledgeable - overall it was a great trip for me and my wife. Good organisation by Global Journey too. Highlight was the stay in Wilderness Lodge although it was too short - an additional day would have been better. Kakadu Air scenic flight was also very good. The Katherine gorges dinner cruise and dinner was very good. "Be my guest" experience at Katherine was too long. A nice relaxing tour of Darwin, Katherine and Kakadu.

Yes, AAT Kings have one of the newest coach fleets in Australia & New Zealand. Our fully air-conditioned coaches are equipped with modern features like reclining seats with seat belts and footrests, panoramic windows, an on-board restroom, and state-of-the-art technology including DVD player, GPS and PA systems. All AAT Kings itineraries include scheduled and regular rest breaks. Most of our coaches are also equipped with phone chargers and free WiFi to keep you in touch with the outside world.

What does it mean if I book on a non Guaranteed Departure?

AAT Kings have designated certain departures as Guaranteed Departures, which means they have reached minimum passenger numbers and will definitely run as scheduled. Global Journeys continue to add Guaranteed Departure status to tours online as they achieve minimum numbers. If you book on a non Guaranteed Departure AAT Kings will determine if the tour will operate no later than 6 weeks prior to departure. If the tour is withdrawn we will work to offer you a suitable alternative. If you aren't happy with the options offered any money paid on your booking will be refunded.

What documentation will I receive?

This depends on the touring style you are booking. Short Break bookings will receive e-documentation. If you are booking an AAT Kings guided holiday (First Choice, Best Buys or Inspiring Journey) you will receive a travel wallet and luggage tag. Plus, we'll give you a map of Australia or New Zealand to follow your journey as a memento of your holiday.

When will I receive my travel documents?

Travel documents for AAT Kings guided tours are delivered to the hotel or address you are staying at prior to your tour depending on the tour type chosen. We also provide you with a tour itinerary and arrival instructions by email, once we have all your flight information and personal details.

Who can I expect to travel with on an AAT Kings tour?

With such a diverse range of destinations and touring styles there is no set age or type who travel with AAT, you can expect a wide-range of like-minded travellers. Families with children, young couples, baby boomers, solo travellers, small groups and more can be found on our guided tours. There is certainly no age limit for touring, with children as young as 6 through to seniors travelling, however, the general demographic tends to be over 40. As AAT Kings is sold internationally you will also find that there are people from all over the world on their tours, particularly North Americans, British, Europeans and many Asian nations.

How many other people will I be travelling with?

Depending on the tour you choose and the time of year you are travelling our group sizes can vary from 20 people up to 49 people, so there is a great opportunity to mingle and make new friends.

Is there a luggage allowance?

Due to limited coach capacity, a single bag is allowed with dimensions not exceeding 30" x 18" x 10" (76 x 46 x 25cm) and weight not exceeding 23kg (50lbs). Carry on hand luggage is restricted to one piece per person, not exceeding 12" x 11" x 6" (30 x 28 x 14cm) to fit under your coach seat or in the small overhead compartment. If you have any concerns with regards to your luggage allowance please contact your Global Journeys consultant.

Do I need to tip my Tour Director, Driver or Driver guide?

While it's not compulsory in Australia or New Zealand, tipping is becoming an increasingly accepted practice in all areas of the service industry, but particularly in restaurants, bars and taxis. Likewise on your AAT Kings tour, if you feel that your Tour Director, Driver or Driver Guide has done an excellent job, then we would recommend tipping up to the equivalent of $5 per day. However, it's not compulsory. It is up to you!

What options do I have if I am travelling alone?

The beauty of travelling with AAT Kings is that you won't be travelling alone. You'll have a group of like-minded travellers and soon to be friends to share in the experience with. They also offer a room matching service on all guided tours (not applicable on Short Breaks) so you don't have to pay a single room supplement. AAT Kings room matching service means they will work to match you with another solo traveller of the same gender, but if they can't, they will provide a single room at no extra cost.

Can I travel with children on your guided coach tours?

Yes, they can accommodate children, however they must be over 6 years of age. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. AAT Kings do recommend that people travelling with children consider whether the itinerary is suitable, in particular the activities involved and the duration of the tour to ensure children's comfort.

Why is my contact information collected when I book?

There may be times when unforeseen events beyond our control impacttravel schedules and potentially disrupt cruises, tours, or packages. These include, but are not limited to, severe weather conditions, acts of nature, and government travel advisories. Under such circumstances, it is critical that AAT Kings be able to contact you immediately and reliably - including nights, weekends, and holidays - to make sure we've informed you of any possible changes to your travel.
