For more than 100 years, AAT Kings has been helping people from all over the world discover the very best of Australia and New Zealand.

The AAT Kings story began in 1912 with the Pyke family, who quickly became the pioneers of coach touring in Australia. They had an unwavering passion for travel and adventure, which lead to the launch of their coach touring business in 1912. The Pyke family started out simply, with just a 7-seater self-drive vehicle which began the daily route from Sydney to the Blue Mountains. As the demand continued to rise, they expanded their fleet by adding 14-seater coaches.

By the 1960s, the company had become the largest tour operator in Sydney and joined forces with Bill King’s Northern Safaris in the 1980s to create the most experienced Guided Holiday operator in Australia and New Zealand – AAT Kings. In 1997, AAT Kings was purchased by The Travel Corporation, the highly successful international travel group who are driven by service, passionately run and owned by a family who have been involved in travel and hospitality for over 100 years.

They are proud to partner with the TreadRight Foundation to practice sustainable tourism, making sure the only things they ever leave behind are footprints and plenty of smiles. By partnering with the TreadRight foundation, AAT Kings works to have a positive impact on the people and communities they visit. They are proud to support two local projects in Australia and New Zealand including the Koalas at Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors and the Kiwi’s at Rainbow Springs Nature Park in Rotorua, New Zealand. Over 2000 Koalas have been treated since 2014 and over 55% of Kiwis have been hatched across New Zealand.
