Itinerary

Check into your hotel. In the afternoon, there's time to rest or discover the vibrant Irish capital, and maybe join an optional dinner evening at the Guinness Storehouse.

Meet your Tour Director and travelling companions to start your day in the "Fair City" with an orientation drive along statue-lined O'Connell Street; elegant Georgian squares with their tall red brick townhouses, multi-hued doors and wrought-iron decorated windows; Oscar Wilde's Trinity College; and St. Patrick's Cathedral. Why not end the day with an optional Irish cabaret evening, including dinner, dance, song, and laughter? (B)

Head for dairy-farm country in the heart of the "Emerald Isle." Stop in Galway, a popular seaside destination and a buzzing cosmopolitan district with vibrant shops and a busy cafe and bar culture. Then, cross the glacial-era limestone plateau of The Burren to visit the spectacular 668-foot Cliffs of Moher and enjoy amazing vistas of the Clare coast. Tonight, we offer an optional medieval banquet. Today's Distance: 204 mi/ 330 km (B)

Stop for photos in Adare, one of Ireland's prettiest villages, beautifully set in woods along the Maigue River, with thatched cottages lining its wide main street. In County Kerry, join the road known as the Ring of Kerry for a 100-mile coastal panoramic drive. Focus your camera on sparkling seascapes, mountains dotted with brightly painted farmhouses, winding lanes bordered with subtropical vegetation, and views of the Lakes of Killarney from Ladies View.

Later, discover Killarney, a town full of history, heritage, and world-class hospitality. A special optional adventure is available: take a horse-drawn jaunting car along the National Park. Today's Distance: 178 mi/ 292 km (B/D)

Move on across the Kerry Mountains and through County Cork to Blarney, famous for its magical Stone of Eloquence. You will have time to shop for traditional Irish handicrafts and handmade crystal, or perhaps walk up to the castle. Drive past Cork, the country's second-largest city, and via Dungarvan to Tramore, a charming seaside resort. Later, you might like to join an optional pub tour before dinner at your hotel. Today's Distance: 132 mi/ 212 km (B/D)

An early start for the short drive to Rosslare. In just under four hours, you cross St. George's Channel by ferry to South Wales. Tonight, why not join an evening of Welsh entertainment and dinner? Today's Distance: 242 mi/ 390 km (B)

Your day begins with a drive across the spectacular Severn Bridge into England. Stop in the elegant Georgian city of Bath, famous for its Roman relics, before visiting Stonehenge, one of the wonders of the world and the best- known prehistoric monument in Europe. Wales & Ireland exceeded all expectations. 0 , New Zealand, May 2016
Our trip to Wales & Ireland exceeded all our expectations. Everything went like clockwork. The Tour Director was First Class. Even the weather was a bonus, no rain at all!
Exactly what I expected 0 , Australia, Oct 2014
Wales, beautiful and trip bettered by tour director Hue and his abundant knowledge. Trip across aqueduct a highlight for myself and son. Dublin is a place I will return to and stay for a couple of weeks. Castle banquet great fun, as was jaunty ride. The trip exactly what I expected, an insight into places I may want to visit in the future. Thanks!
Very impressed with the tour director and coach driver 0 , Australia, Sep 2014
I was very impressed with the Tour Director and the Coach driver. Peter, the Tour Director, gave a great deal of very interesting information. He clearly knew a lot of English, Irish and Welsh history and I found this most helpful. He was always very pleasant to all passengers. Nigel, the driver, was very helpful with luggage and with getting off ...read more the bus. He appeared very calm when we had a problem with the bus, even though he may have been stressed. The optional extras were very good, although I found the Guiness tour a bit boring. The medieval banquet was wonderful, and the canal ride on the aquaduct was most interesting. I would like to have spent longer in Wales but I did realise, before I left, what was offered. I am not interested in shopping but being able to repeat a visit to the Roman Baths at Bath and the Shakespeare Centre in Stratford-on-Avon, meant that I didn't have to just wander around these cities. Having decided to spend the night at the hotel from where we departed, I found the Cosmos representative, Stephanie very welcoming.
Everything done for you.... My kind of holiday 0 , Australia, Jul 2013
It was great! Nothing to organise, no decisions, no driving, everything done for you.... My kind of holiday. Thank you.
Top marks on a well organised tour 2 , Australia, Jul 2013
I had just completed a 26 day tour of Europe and was therefore able to compare two different companies, their coaches, the tour leader. The type of accommodation was only budget three star in Europe so the better motels in Wales/Ireland are not fair to compare, because of course they were more excellent. I can state though how nice it was to have the ...read more bags delivered to our door, to have lifts in all motels, and to have excellent dining rooms in each place, with great food (wow cooked breakfasts) (not just the Europe bread and cheese types of offerings.) Our tour guide was Tara, a wealth of information on the history of England, Wales and Ireland. She just shared what was in her head, very few notes, her memory was amazing. The coach had clean windows every morning, thank you Alex. My previous Europe Coach was not as good at ensuring excellent photo opportunities. The pace was fast, but then we had a lot to see in only a short seven days. I did not though appreciate having a place on the itinerary, such as Visit to Stonehenge and then find we had to pay to enter. If it is listed as a visit, then the price should be in the package. I heard a lot of complaints from coach passengers about the frequency of us having to dip into our pockets, and some of the prices seemed to be quite exhorbitant for what was offered. Especially the offer of a closing visit to Jersey Boys with a meal for 140 pounds. Good grief!! It would have to be a banquet for that! The extra events such as canal ride, Banquet in a castle, Visit Blarney Castle, Kiss the Blarney stone, Irish Pub (extremely dear) Guinness tour, were all excellent, and I am glad that I made the decision to do it all. Congratulations on a well organised tour. Top Marks.
I would recommend a Cosmos tour to anyone 0 , Australia, Jun 2013
Our tour director, Alley was absolutely fabulous. Her knowledge of Irish affairs and history is remarkable. I could have listened to her all day. All the accommodation and meals were first rate. I would recommend a Cosmos tour to anyone. I hope I will get the opportunity to go on more.
