A full day to savour our rich program of optional activities: take a panoramic tour of London's landmarks, visit the Tower of London, or choose an excursion to Windsor Castle. Tonight, how about dinner followed by a leisurely cruise on the Thames River? (B)
3
London - Brussels - Amsterdam Area, Holland
Transfer to the railway station and board the EUROSTAR TRAIN to Brussels with your Tour Director. Board your luxury motorcoach for the drive to the Amsterdam area. (B)
4
Amsterdam Area - Wiesbaden, Germany
Today, enjoy sightseeing in Amsterdam with a Local Guide pointing out the city highlights, followed by a CANAL CRUISE to see the city from water level, then stop to watch the cutting and polishing of precious stones at a DIAMOND CENTRE. This afternoon, continue your journey to Wiesbaden. (B)
5
Wiesbaden - Heidelberg - Lucerne Area, Switzerland
Drive through the picturesque Rhineland and enjoy splendid scenery as you skirt the Rhine river. Next, drive into Germany's oldest university town, Heidelberg, nicely located at the confluence of the Neckar and Rhine Rivers, for a short visit. Continue to the Lucerne area. (B)
6
Lucerne Area
Lucerne is nestled amid its snowcapped Alps, surrounded by its lake, and graced by the clear mountain waters of the Reuss River. Your orientation includes the LION MONUMENT, erected in memory of the 800 Swiss Guards who defended Louis XVI and his wife; and the wooden CHAPEL BRIDGE. A grand selection of optional activities completes the day: a cable-car ride to the 3048-metre (10,000-foot) summit of Mount Titlis; a cruise on the fjord-like lake; and, of course, time to shop for an authentic Swiss watch. (B)
7
Lucerne Area - Lugano - Verona, Italy - Venice Area
More wonderful alpine scenery as you drive into the mountain ranges that surround the massive St. Gotthard Pass leading to the warmer and sunnier ambiance of Canton Ticino, then cross into Italy and drive across the Po Valley to Verona, medieval setting of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. See Juliet's house and balcony, and stroll around the picturesque market square. Tonight, you are in the Venice area. (B)
8
Venice Area
Venice is more like a marvellous film set than a reallife city, with its criss-crossing canals, gondolas and water buses, arched bridges, palaces, and busy little piazzas. Your included orientation starts with a BOAT RIDE to St. Mark's Square and is followed by free time to soak up the city's unique atmosphere and a chance to visit a GLASSBLOWING WORKSHOP. Don't miss out on the optional gondola trip, gliding along the picturesque canals with a local troubadour to serenade you. (B/D)
9
Venice Area - Assisi - Rome
An interesting drive southward, crossing the rolling Apennines. Stop in medieval Assisi, where St. Francis was born in 1182, and visit the world-famous BASILICA with its beautiful frescoes by Giotto. Then, head for Rome. (B)
10
Rome
The "Eternal City" is steeped in history, vibrantly alive and exciting, and absolutely unique! Included sightseeing with a Local Guide starts with St. Peter's Square and Basilica. Other highlights are the iconic Colosseum, the largest amphitheatre ever built and Circus Maximus. (B)
11
Rome - Pompeii - Sorrento Area
Travel south all the way today, with the Vesuvius volcano in the distance. Visit Pompeii, where time stopped in 79 AD when the Vesuvius eruption totally buried it. On your included visit to the ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE, see the luxurious villas, temples, theatre, and forum. Just a few more miles to reach the lively Sorrento Area. (B)
12
Sorrento Area. Excursion To Capri
Cross the blue sea for a full-day excursion to the legendary island of Capri. Surrounded by rose-tinted rocks, Capri has incredibly beautiful coves of translucent blues and greens. An optional tour takes you around the island with its steep roads and panoramic views. (B/D)
13

Accommodation good, dinner at Sorrento left much to be desired, but the hotel was good. A big thank you to the other members of the tour, as I was quite slow at times, tagging along behind them. But there was always someone lagging behind to make sure I did not go astray. Alex the guide was good too, and so was our driver. To have travelled to places I've only read about was a highlight, St Peters square Christmas day, Paris for New Years Eve. Snow sprinkled on the fir trees, and up the mountain side, coming out of the tunnel from Lucerne. A once in a lifetime trip, and special thanks to Sherry and daughter Ashley, who booked through Yvonne.

We had an awesome time in Europe! This was made possible by two wonderful people, the Coach Driver Oscar - for making us feel safe and secure with his exceptional driving skills and loading/unloading our luggage! and the Tour Director Patrizia Weijring for making us feel like a family from day 1 - from organizing our hotel room keys in every destination even before we arrived at the hotels, taking last minute changes in our optional excursions, making sure everyone was safely on board, taking care of our dietary requirements as well as going beyond her call of duty of finding our lost property by locating and organizing it to be delivered to our next hotel! Her humour and smile made our journey in the Coach much easier! She is an amazing person and an asset to Cosmos. Please pass our warm wishes to Patrizia and Oscar.

I was nervous of travelling single, however from the moment I requested a quote to ending the holiday, it was my best holiday decision. If people are wanting a taste of Europe I could not speak highly enough of my travel consultant, tour director and coach driver. The age of our tour members was great with all ages covered. For anyone wondering if it is OK going to Europe in off season, my answer is absolutely. Yes you need a great coat and jackets but you miss the crowds and get up nice and close to all the wonderful destinations. My next holiday will be booked with Global Journeys, I would not use anyone else.

Well organized tour to maximize the sights you get to see. A real taste of what Europe has to offer and leaves you with a great idea of what you would like to go see again and cities you would like to explore further. Great variety of optional activities that really made the most of your time. Tour Director Attila was amazing! His organization, personality and caring nature made the trip more than just a tour, it made it a holiday.

This is a pretty good tour flexible and well organised. The overall quality of food and accommodation was good except one of the hotels in Italy had really below average breakfast, hope something can be done in future.
