Itinerary

Your journey into wonder begins in the glorious city of Prague. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for your two night stay. This evening, join your fellow travellers and Tour Director for a welcome drink.

Discover one of Europe’s truly magical cities during a guided tour.

Freechoice: Enjoy a walking tour of Prague, tasting locally brewed beer along the way. Alternatively, visit the Old Royal Palace, considered the largest Castle complex in the world. Tonight, delight in a delicious Czech dinner. (B/D)

This morning, you'll depart for Dresden, perhaps the greenest city in Germany. Enjoy an orientation tour of this charming city before continuing on to the capital, Berlin. Here you'll be treated to a three night stay in one of the city's most opulent hotels. (B/D)

Your introduction to Berlin begins with a guided tour. See the Brandenburg Gate and the State Opera House, then drive along the famous ‘Unter den Linden' and visit the former Checkpoint Charlie area.

Enrich: This afternoon a local historian will enthral you with tales of the city's history while you enjoy coffee and cake under the glass dome of the renovated Reichstag Building that was set on fire in 1933. (B)

Freechoice: Visit the moving Berlin Wall memorial and the Hackesche Höfe, then ride Berlin’s subway and learn about the city’s Cold War period. Alternatively, journey to Potsdam, where a local guide will share their insights on the town and its history, and visit Cecilienhof Palace where the Potsdam Treaty was signed in 1945. (B)

Journey to Warsaw, stopping along the way in the city of Poznan, known for its impressive architecture and history. Enjoy a two night stay. (B/L)

Largely destroyed during World War II, Warsaw’s historic centre has been rebuilt and has attained World Heritage-listed status. Your local guide will take you through the key sites including the Jewish Ghetto and monument to the Ghetto heroes, the Palace of Culture and the Chopin Memorial.

Freechoice: You have two vastly different but equally interesting options to choose from this afternoon. Join a Polish cooking class making delicious Pierogi, or learn more about the plight of the Jewish community on a visit to the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.

Enrich: This evening, enjoy an exclusive piano concert of Chopin’s immortal music in a manor house, followed by dinner. (B/D)

Journey through Poland to Auschwitz and visit the former concentration camp and its museum for chilling reminders of the Holocaust in World War II. Early this evening, arrive in Krakow where you will stay for the next two nights. (B)

Today’s sightseeing of this World Heritage-listed city includes a guided walking tour of the Old Town, and a visit to the cathedral and the castle on Wawel Hill. This afternoon you’ll visit the nearby 800-year-old Wieliczka Salt Mines and see statues of historic and mythical figures, sculpted by miners out of rock salt. Tonight, enjoy delicious Polish cuisine at a local restaurant. (B/D)

Cross the border into Slovakia en route to the Hungarian capital, Budapest. Enjoy a two night stay. (B)

This morning explore Budapest, often regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. (B)

Depart after breakfast. Budapest may be the end of your journey but it will be the start of a lifetime of wonderful memories.
