2

Halifax - Peggy's Cove - Halifax

Stunning landscapes await! Meet your fellow guests over breakfast with your Tour Manager. Then, it's off to see one of the most picturesque spots in all of Canada – beautiful Peggy's Cove. Its historic lighthouse overlooking the Atlantic Ocean provides one of the most memorable views you will ever see. Later, explore Halifax's charming downtown on a tour highlighting the waterfront, Public Gardens, Spring Garden Road, and the famous Citadel. This evening, enjoy dinner along the waterfront. (B/D)
3

Halifax - Cape Breton Island - Baddeck

Head to picturesque Cape Breton. Stop to discover the Millbrook Cultural & Heritage Centre to learn about the Mi'kmaq heritage and Glooscap legends—see artifacts including intricate quill and beadwork, and learn some words from the Mi'kmaq language. Travel the Canso Causeway on the way to stunning Cape Breton Island. Set out on a scenic drive by the pristine shores of Bras d'Or Lakes, Canada's only inland sea. Next, stop at the Gaelic College. Watch North America's first Gaelic language short film: Faire Chaluim MhicLeoid - the Wake of Calum MacLeod. Afterward, learn how the Great Kilt was made during a brief kilt-making demonstration. Learn a few handy Gaelic phrases and join in the fun of a "milling frolic"…practice a Gaelic song while sitting around a table and beating a large loop of woolen cloth in rhythm. Stay: Inverary Inn Resort (2 Nights) (B)
4

Cabot Trail

Set off to explore the Cabot Trail. You will fall in love with its rugged terrain and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. Visit the famed St. Peter's Church in Cheticamp. Enjoy a picnic lunch in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Even more beauty awaits as we pause at fishing communities along the coast, including lovely Neil's Harbour. After dinner this evening we've arranged an old-fashioned bonfire (weather permitting). (B/L/D)
5

Arrive in delightful Cavendish and view Prince Edward Island National Park's picturesque beaches. Visit the Anne of Green Gables Museum where you will meet a farmer who teaches you the art of potato farming, the island's leading industry. Then, the choice is yours! Will you choose to learn about and indulge in award-winning cheeses or is some handmade ice cream made the old fashion way on the menu? Next we return to Charlottetown with time to explore this fascinating city. Discover seaside Charlottetown with a tour along its narrow streets lined with quaint homes and hidden treasures. (B)
7

Prince Edward Island - Saint John, New Brunswick

Leave Prince Edward Island behind as you cross the stately Confederation Bridge. Travel along the sea-sprayed shoreline to the amazing Hopewell Rocks. A New Brunswick icon, these flowerpot-shaped rocks carved by the Fundy tides seem to rise four stories high at low tide only to disappear into tiny islands when the tide is high. Savor a traditional Maritimes lobster feast as you look upon Daniels Flats. An expert teaches you how to crack and eat lobster like a local. Continue your journey through New Brunswick to the city of Saint John where you'll enjoy a 2-night stay in the bustling waterfront area. Stay: Hilton Saint John (2 Nights) (B/L)

The evening is at leisure in the city of Saint John. (B)
9

Booking With Global Journeys
The consultant that I dealt with over the phone was polite and very helpful. All queries were dealt with promptly. I hadn't heard of Collette tours until we were looking to do a Maritimes Tour. We were very impressed with the service and would look at touring with Collette again and I would recommend the company to friends. We loved the scenery (especially the Bay of Fundy and Hopewell Rocks) and the history of the Maritimes. We felt that in some places too much time was spent when there wasn't a lot to see. The hotels we stayed in were great. The farewell dinner and the lunch we had at The Cookhouse on the Bay of Fundy Trail were highlights. We met a lot of interesting people which also adds to the travel experience.
