Amritsar

This morning after breakfast, you will visit the Wagah Border, which separates Pakistan and India, to witness the ceremony marking the lowering of both countries' flags. Afterwards, you'll return to the hotel for an official Welcome Dinner with your fellow travellers before heading to the stunning Golden Temple, a Sikh holy shrine and one of India's most beautiful sights. Here, you'll also witness the Palki Ceremony, an atmospheric tradition where the Sikh Holy Book isparaded through a crowd of worshippers and 'put to bed'. (B/D)
