Busabout started out in 1998 with a commitment to the independent traveller to get the most out of their time, cash and experiences. They have since developed innovative guided adventures across Asia & Europe that give their travellers a balance of sightseeing and free time so your experience can be unique and personal.
Their passion for travel has never wavered, and as travellers at heart, they know what it takes to give you an unforgettable trip.
At Busabout, we believe that age is just a number. Our trips are open to anyone over the age of 18 who is looking for a free spirited adventure. We find that our travellers tend to have much more in common than their birthday – the passion to explore the world around us is universal and ageless!
As well as your fellow travel companions, Busabout trips are escorted by expert guides and drivers who care about the destinations you visit and make it their mission to give you an epic trip!
Busabout itineraries are handcrafted to show you all the must see highlights, but still give you plenty of time and flexibility to get to know a destination like a local. We understand that travel is personal, and we want your holiday to be truly yours.
We’ll help you tick off those bucket list sights, show you hidden gems, and let you in on some local secrets - but we’re also cool if you want to head off and explore independently. We’re here to give you the tools to create your own adventure.
When you book a Busabout trip, you’re absolutely guaranteed to go! Busabout holidays don’t need a minimum number of passengers to run and we’ve never cancelled a trip.
You can lock in your adventure with peace of mind that once you’ve booked – you’re going!

You can also transfer the funds you’ve already paid over to another trip of the same or higher value if you change your mind, as long as it is outside of the notification period.
A cancellation fee applies based on the length of the trip and how soon the departure date is. This information can be found in the terms and conditions listed below.
All Busabout documentation is electronic, so you will be emailed a copy of your travel documents.
Travel insurance is compulsory for all Busabout travellers and should be taken out before or at the time of booking. Busabout requires that you take out comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, personal baggage, money and public liability before you travel. Busabout may require you to provide details of your insurance as a condition of travel.
Busabout operate a 24 hour info tent, located next to where the sleeping tents are, to watch over everything. However, Busabout cannot be held responsible if your personal belongings go missing. Please take precautions where possible.
All optional extras and excursions will be available to book through your Busabout Guide on the trip.
The accommodation used on your trip will depend on your travel style and itinerary. Busabout always select a great variety of well located, clean, safe options with top facilities. From chic modern city hostels with all the bells and whistles, or quirky, cool and independent hostels in some of their smaller destinations, to traditional and modern hotels, resort style campsites, beach resorts and the odd guesthouse too.
On some itineraries you’ll get to try out some truly authentic accommodation, like a Berber camp in Morocco or homestay in Vietnam. Take to the water to enjoy sailboats in Croatia, traditional gulets in Turkey, junk boats in Vietnam and jungle rafts in Thailand.
Accommodation is generally multi-share and there is often the option to upgrade to twin-share. Upgrades to a single share are only offered on very select trips and subject to availability. As Busabout primarily use hostels, there is a very small number of single share availability. Ask your consultant if you are interested in upgrading your accommodation.
It would also be usual to give your tour guide a tip at the end of the tour if he/she has done a good job. The amount is entirely at your discretion, and is not mandatory, but it is always much appreciated.
Busabout do not offer airport transfers and so we recommend you arrange a taxi (or Uber) on arrival (this is the most economical and efficient way of getting you to your hotel). Arrival instructions and full address details of your accommodation are supplied in the trip documentation that your Travel Advisor will email to you before you leave.
