The trip was an excellent experience to get in touch with the pure nature. The tour is very well thought and structured. The guide and driver are highly professional and lovely people to deal with. To travel by coach was not a problem at all, because it stopped frequently enough to stretch our legs. The hotels are good and hospitable. The food was very good to consider variety and freshness. I want to express my special appreciation to Kirby O'Connor who helped to book this tour and acknowledge her highly profession approach to work and polite manners. It was my second time I've travelled with Global Journeys. I was impressed so much by their services after I went on a tour in New Zealand in 2010. Well done. [More+]

Western Escape

15 Day Western Escape

We enjoyed the tour but did not realize it was actually split in two, so it gave us a chance to meet different people and we enjoyed the camaraderie of both. Greg and Daryl were great - watching Daryl vacuum the flies off the front window was entertaining. The choices made for stops were excellent, although I am sure that trying to remember everything Greg mentioned is impossible. Thank goodness I took a few notes. Hotels were good, although the breakfasts were quite repetitive but always enough to fill one's belly. Enjoyed the Whale museum, Super Pit, Mine tour, Gloucester tree, the jetty, the Wave etc. The chocolate factory was just a store to buy chocolate and not a tour. The fact that we had a few choices was good. The second and northerly half was equally as good. The only time we were less than pleased was the flower farm. Expected more of a tour and live flowers but the worst was how rushed we were because she had 4 groups in an hour and was quite abrupt with us. 2 nights at Monkey Mia was good.

The Trip was great!! Very well organised and the staff were fantastic. AAT Kings does a great job. Had a good group of fellow travellers which made it a whole lot of fun. Kakadu, Arnhem Land, Twin Falls & Jim Jim Falls

4 Day Kakadu, Arnhem Land, Twin Falls & Jim Jim Falls

At first we were wondering if we had allocated to much time in Kakadu, but each day just improved with a number of things to do via the associated tour network. The highlights were the trip into Jim Jim Falls, (even though our tour guide fell upon the rocks and broke his arm), the Aboriginal tour on the South Alligator river spotting bird life and crocks, The trip into Arnhan land to Oinpelie and the associated rock art. The trip into Ubirr blew our minds with the views over the flood plains and the rock art. In all four very enjoyable days with a relaxing couple of hours spent on a billabong having lunch. For a 'shutter bug' there was no lack of subject matter to photograph!

Kerry and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of New Zealand. Our guide Lu Tyree was excellent and our bus driver Darryl was a very good driver as well as a lovely person to have a conversation with. Our accommodation and our meals were very good. Everything was well organised and there were plenty of comfort stops, even allowing good natured tolerance for any latecomers.

I booked this trip on behalf of my father John Crabtree who was 83. Georgie was excellent in organising this trip for us , nothing too much trouble. My father had a marvellous time on this trip from the first night in Auckland to the finish in Wellington, The tour director Marty was great and made it a very pleasant trip. My father particulary enjoyed the Bay of Islands and the Maori Village in Rotorua. As this was a small group of 16 everyone got to know one another and my father was always well looked after. Thanks again.

Thank you for a very pleasant tour. We particularly enjoyed the Kakadu part of the trip, especially spending time with an aboriginal guide. It was a great time to relax as well as learn about this unique part of Australia.

Wonders of New Zealand

18 Day Wonders of New Zealand

I have been home for a week however this is the first time that I have had to sit and inform you of my trip to New Zealand. Had a super time. Cannot complain about accommodation or meals and the weather was to die for. The tour became known as the 'sunshine tour'. We had cool mornings in a couple of places but really nice crisp days and luke warm sun. North Island turned on especially good weather, one day of rain but about 23 degrees for all days. Super! I reckon I met the best driver and the best tour director - two people who were passionate about their country and it showed - they provided brilliant commentary and a history of your country. If I had hired a vehicle and driven myself I wouldn't have gained the information that I did. Thx Georgie, it was all good!

10 Day Tasmanian Wonders

We had never done a 'coach tour' before and didn't know what to expect BUT we really thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We think our Tour Guide (CarolineTipper) and Driver (Tom) were exceptional and really pulled our group together. Caroline is a Tasmania girl and her local knowledge and stories of various places and people really made the trip for us. We had been asked by fellow New Zealanders (before we left) why we were going to Tasmania as it was supposedly quite like New Zealand! We didn't find it so at all. (Ed. I agree!) Tasmania definitely has its very own scenery, history, weather and character. We loved it. Our first 4 or 5 days on Tour experienced fabulous weather - sunny and warm. Unfortunately things then turned to 'custard' and it rained and rained and rained. This caused several roads and bridges on our planned travels to be washed out or unpassable so alternative routes were arranged and this was fine. The difficulties for our Guide must have been considerable. However, we thoroughly enjoyed both Tasmania and our coach tour and would now consider doing a 'coach tour' again. We made various friends within the group and some may visit us here in New Zealand in the future so the social contacts made is another plus!

What a wonderful tour of Tasmania. Ann and I had everything, and it went perfectly, so thank you and Global Journeys for all the help. AAT Kings were brilliant. Nothing was a bother and the driver, Tom and tour director, Peter were simply the best. We enjoyed all and met such an array of people from all over the world. I made two special friends and receive emails from them. I can certainly recommend Global Journeys so keep up the good work and maybe we will catch up with you in the future. We had a lovely time in Tasmania. We were very happy with the tour, felt it all ran smoothly - tour guide and driver were excellent. The accommodation wasn't as good as I would have liked but realise it wasn't a top priced tour. The Tassie tour I enjoyed very much. Having not been to Tassie before I appreciated what I had missed, the scenery and countyside very attractive. Slight alterations to the tour because of the stormy weather, going to Camphell Town And Ross instead of St. Helens because of road closure [heavy rain] but that didn't detract from the tour. Missed out on the railway trip from Strahan to Queenstown because of track closure due to the storm. The tour very well run with an excellent tour guide and driver and the accommodation was very satisfactory.

Just a wee note to say how much we enjoyed our recent trip with Global Journeys. The trip certainly lived up to its title of spectacular! AAT Kings were awesome. In particular the tour director Carolyn Tipper who in our opinion made our trip so interesting with the amount of local knowledge she shared with us, and in also being SO helpful to every passenger. A great trip and one that I am more than happy to recommend to anyone contemplating a trip to the 'Apple Isle'! Thanks once more to all involved in making our wee holiday so enjoyable!

Another excellent tour by Global Journeys and AAT Kings. Smooth booking process, overall good tour. We tried scuba diving on this tour at the Great Barrier Reef, very good, good price for the introductary dive. It is a nice way to see the east coast. There were places that we would have like an extra day (Surfer's Paradise & Gold Coast) and also would have perfered better room's at Coff's Harbour hotel/motel (the upper rooms were better than ground floor). As we are vegetarian, our tour director Gillian really made sure we were taken care of and weren't just eating salad. Also, there are early starts because there is lots to do during the days. Definitely recommend the tour and Global Journeys.

Global Journeys' service was excellent. No criticisms at all - ten out of ten. The Kings tour was also good - very well organised and the leader was very informative. Things I personally did not like so well were (1) The early starts with bags out an hour before departure; (2) Too much time spent sitting in the bus. I would have preferred to visit less sites with more time to walk and explore; (3) A little too much commentary on the bus. Some time for quiet contemplation would have been good - without music because not all tastes are the same.

We had a great time, even though the earthquake disrupted the tour. We only have praise for our tour guide and driver (Bob and Nellie). They went out of their way to make our trip memorable. The tour itself was excellent, the hotels were clean and tidy. The meals came a bit too much with baked dinners every night though. The only downside we found was the people touring with us were a bit too old for us, most were retired or in their sixties. So we missed a bit of nightlife as most were in bed by 8 with their cups of tea. Nevertheless we would recommend the coach tour to everyone, if we went on our own we would of missed a lot of sights. We are now planning to go next year to see the North Island.

Tour was of both islands. Although we arrived very late in the evening we were received both at the airport and hotel in Auckland with courtesy. Our Tour Director and Drivers were attentive in every way. The hotels were good enough we can't compain and our requests were met in every way. Free days were very beneficial. Places we saw were great. We were luckly that the group were all nice and this made it even more successful. The tour was just right, a little longer and it may have been too much. The only regret we have is for Christchurch and the earthquake which we escaped. We grew to love this small city and hope that it recovers through all this catastrophe. We can not fault the tour in any way and would be happy to recommend Global Journeys & AAT Kings to friends and family.

New Zealand Vista

14 Day New Zealand Vista

We thought New Zealand was delightful. The scenery was wonderful and the people very friendly. We would thoroughly recommend this tour. Generally, we were looked after very well. However, in order to give constructive and honest criticism, we would make the additional comments: 1) The seating rotation should have begun at the start of the tour, even though the bus was not completely full at the start. There are at least three prime viewing seats on the bus, and if the decision is to bypass the rotation as stipulated, then we should move three seats each day rather than one. It would have shared the prime seats more equally. 2) The hotel in Wellington was 'quaint' to say the least. The blankets and linen in room 306 gave the impression of being hurriedly purchased at the local charity shop, and completely mismatched in size and colour. But we slept well and otherwise the hotel was good. 3) At Franz Josef the hotel was good apart from the dining/breakfast arrangements, which were completely inadequate to deal with the number of guests. 4) At Queenstown we found the food plentiful at the Skyline Restuarant, but the quality did not live up the price in our opinion. The imposition of a time limit was also irritating.

Best of Tasmania

11 Day Best of Tasmania

An excellent holiday which we both enjoyed. Our tour manager, Robin Gentle, looked after us all in a very professional manner, and Mark our driver (a Kiwi of course!!) was excellent. We only had one spot that was rather average and was not the fault of the company or Robin, that was our evening meal at Tall Timbers, Smithton. The meal was A La Carte, and we were one of the last to be served - our main meal was brought out over an hour after we ordered, we asked if our dessert could be brought out early as we were due to go on the Penguin tour. The waitress was very off-hand and we thought rather rude telling us we would have to wait until everyone had finished as that was the rule. We didn't even have time for a hot drink before we had to go to get ready for the trip. Apart from that - well done Global Journeys, we would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

I loved Tasmania. It was a pity that it was pretty cold for the time of year having left Canberra in 37 degrees and arrived in Hobart in 17 degrees which went down to 9 degrees in the mountains, but I guess that is why it is so lush and beautiful. It was a pity that it was never warm enough to even walk on the beaches as the wind was so cold. I was sorry that there was never enough time to stay long enough in any one place; perhaps some of the visits could have been left out. Also arriving in Launceston late afternoon on a Sunday when we were not provided with an evening meal was difficult as most restaurants were closed. With hindsight we should have eaten at the hotel where we were staying. I loved the little penguins, the mountains and temperate rain forest with magnificent trees covered in moss and lichens, the river cruise from Strahan especially the stop at Katherine Island, and the day at Port Arthur. Richmond was an enchanting little town where I could easily live!

I am writing this note, on behalf of my parents, Stella and George. They decided to go to Tasmania for a short holiday and we chose Global Journeys after a few quotes and enquiries, with other companies. Both my parents were pleased with the whole trip. The tour was great, my husband & I enjoyed it very much. Our Tour director Julianne was excellent, helpfull, accommodating & knowledgable in regards to NZ which exceeded our expectations. Our coach driver Timati was also exceptional & friendly. We found the tour options to be very expensive & couldn't justify the cost, so for this reason we only did a couple of them. Other tour companions which we met were also saying the side tours were too expensive and there were no group discounts or something like that. I'd like to also mention that the Tranzalpine train fare you charged us was $118 each & when i enquired at the railway station in Dundenin they told me $89 each for the same trip & day (RJ - The price charged by the Operator includes transfers). That is a huge difference. Nevertheless, we still had a great time in New Zealand & enjoyed it very much.

New Zealand was fantastic! It was organised well by AAT Kings and Global Journeys. Booking process was smooth and we got the best price. Queries were answered and dealt with promptly. The tour covered a large part of New Zealand. Only part we struggled with was the early starts as there was a lot to do in the day. Best part of the tour was Queenstown and a small town of Picton. The worse part (there was a small part) - our tour director changed for the last few days of the tour and she was not organised. We had been spolit by Jo and Murray (driver) for 14 days that when Iris came on board, it was disaapointing.

New Zealand Contrasts

17 Day New Zealand Contrasts

We booked our NZ holiday through Georgina at Global Journeys about 10 months before our trip. One thing I found reassuring was that before we booked, every time I made an email enquiry, Georgina got back to me very quickly, so that gave us the confidence to go ahead with an overseas company. Our trip was 17 days, starting in Auckland, travelling to Bay of Islands, then returning to Auckland to travel down from north to south, finishing in Christchurch. Everything went very smoothly. The actual tour was with AAT Kings and our bus driver Paul and tour guide Julie were outstanding. One advantage of being on an escorted coach tour is the wealth of local knowledge that these people can share. I am sure I learnt much more about NZ than I would have been able to achieve otherwise. Julie should be congratulated on her organisation, as each day she would give us a sheet that would outline the times and special notes about activities for the next day. She also booked wake up calls for everyone. People I spoke to said she was far and away the best tour guide they had had on a coach tour. My husband has a bad back but found the coaches very comfortable. Most people on the trip were Australian, with a fair sprinkling of English plus some Americans. Age range was generally 40s to 60s, although once we arrived in the South Island, many other people joined us, including two families, both with two teenage children. The teens got on very well and had a ball, but it may have been a lonely time for them had the other family not been there. New Zealand is an achingly beautiful country-much more so than I expected. It is also a friendly country. I was touched to have strangers come up and shake our hand, wish us well, once they found we were from Australia. People on our tour commented on how spotless the country is. It seems to be a nation where the people take pride in their country. Our hotels were, on the whole, very good, although some were stand out favourites. The Copthorne at Bay of Islands had by far the best buffet at night. The heating and cooling in the hotels is generally not up to Aussie standards though. I would not hesitate to use Global Journeys again to book a holiday, AAT Kings were excellent, the other passengers were great, NZ itself is outstanding. We finished our tour in Christchurch-such an absolutely beautiful city. I hope all those tour guides and drivers were able to stay safe in the recent earthquake and our hope is to one day be able to visit NZ again. (RJ - Edited for brevity)

We had an absolute wonderful tour of New Zealand with Global Journeys. Marty and Megan, the director and bus driver were fantastic in every respect to make our experience sensational. We met a wonderful group of people who added to the great time we had. Nearly all the accomodation was great, especially the Mercure resort in Queenstown which was just sensational. The Mercure in Wellington was only just average. All the breakfasts were excellent with so much choice. All the included dinners were very good, with the Maori village dinner in Rotarua being a sensational experience. I could just rave and rave about so many of the experiences we had. The tour was good and bad. The good included Hobart, Russell Falls, Gordon River Cruise, Cradle Mountain, Stanley, Launceston & Bicheno. The fantastic included Port Arthur, Richmond, Freycinet & Legerwood Memorial. The bad was the cheese factory, Axeman's hall of fame, the junk shop. The absolute pits was Queenstown and for 2 nights!? Such a shame we didn't stay in Strahan especially the night of the cruise as there was theatre relating to Sarah Island. The tour guide was disappointing. First and most important was the excellence of Ted, our tour guide, and Murray our driver. They have to be your very very best. I was extremely nervous as there have been some horrific bus accidents in South Africa. Right from the start I had the utmost confidence in Murray's driving - safe, slow when necessary and we even had some excellent commentary when Ted was on the TranzAlpine with some of our fellow travellers. Thank you so much Murray. As for Ted, what a mine of information he imparted to us. And his little anecdotes had us in stitches. Thank you so much Ted. Please make sure these 2 men hear how much we appreciate them and how delighted we are that we were lucky enough to be on their tour. The tour was well organised and all of us, I am sure, felt part of everything. Instructions were clear and to the point and fully understandable. The accommodation was very good. We will definitely recommend your company to any interested people. We had a lovely relaxing journey for which many thanks.

He has a wealth of info. plus a cheerful disposition. My credit to the driver Murray who must have driven for years to acquire akills to manuover through all the winding roads of South Island. Queenstown was my favourite city. I could have easily stayed there and worked on a farm. I am glad we had an extra day on the trip in Queenstown. I have no complaints about the food or the hotels except to attract tourists from Asia, perhaps a few Asian dishes in the menu would be helpful. I have certainly advertised the trip to family and friends. Thanks to all who did the organisation, I thoroughly enjoyed my New Zealand experience

11 Day Best of Tasmania

It was a great tour. Well structured because we saw all or most of Tasmania and did so without any days of travel that could be described as onerous and a good balance between one night and two night stays in different locations. The itinerary was excellent and I think the tour is well named because much of what we saw was spectacular and a lot of highlights were very beautiful scenically and interesting. Good accommodation all the way around and good meals where they were included in the tour. But what made this tour so special for us was the Tour Director a lady by the name of Caroline Tipper. A proud Tasmanian passionate about her Island state and incredibly knowledgeable on all manner of subjects such as its history its economy flora and fauna etc etc Carolyn is a very special person. Through her kindly organisation and especially her commentaries on the bus she made the tour special for every person on the tour. Of this I am sure.

10 Day Tasmanian Wonders

There were too many on the tour and because of this we had very little time to take many photos especially when the weather was good. Generally we enjoyed the tour. The coach driver was a very good driver and the guide did her best to keep us happy and informed. We felt the tour covered a lot in the time available and no doubt saw the highlights of Tasmania. Starting the tour and ending the tour at Hobart was good as we could get a direct flight from and to Brisbane. The fellow passengers fitted in very well and we got along with everybody and we all had a good time together. Meals and accommodation were good but arriving in Launceston on the Sunday afternoon was not a good idea as most of the shops and eating places were closed and dinner was not included that day. We would have liked to have spent more time at the gorge near Launceston since very little was open in Launceston and it was a lovely day to have spent more time at the gorge.

My wife and I enjoyed this tour very much. We found it a well planned and executed tour. The itinerary, optional tours, hotel accomodation, meals, coach & other arrangements were very much to our satisfaction. The coach driver Meagan was very skilled at her job and made sure the ride was very comfortable. The tour director Niarey, was very efficient and dedicated to her job and did her best to ensure the tour was enjoyed by everyone. Her knowledge of the areas visited was very impressive. Our sincere thanks to these two hardworking staff members from AAT Kings for a most enjoyable and trouble free coach tour. Thanks also to Georgina from Global Jouneys for the help received with the reservation.

Overall the tour was fantastic, the Tour Director (Julieanne) was very knowledgeable, helpful, empathetic and professional. The bus driver (Paul) was very capable gentleman and personable. He has got to be the best driver I have ever seen, we all felt very safe with him at the helm. The way these two people shared the journey with us and their personal experiences was wonderful. Their pride in their country shone through. Above all they had a great sense of humour and did not take themselves too seriously. We intend to come back to NZ in the next two years and without question we will go with your company again because the service and hospitality was exceptional. I have renamed NZ - The Land of the Long White Buffet - the food and service on the tour was UNBELIEVABLY GOBB SMAKINGLY FANTASTIC. We feel that NZ is our second home the scenery and people are second to none. I have only two suggestions I would like to make to improve the tour. 1. The first day that we went Christchurch on the TranzAlpine and the trip in the afternoon was too much for the first day. Maybe stopping overnight in Greymouth will solve this problem or giving the Pancake Rocks a miss. 2. The middle seat up the back should be not used. We had a young girl of 13 years traveling with us and every time she was up the back she felt ill, so we were lucky enough to have 3 couples and we could swap with her so she could be down the front. Apart from these minor things the tour was great and I have recommended it to several people. Keep up the good work!

Leader Carolyn and driver Smiley made the trip spectacular. Carolyn's expertise and huge knowledge, being a local, and her humour really made the trip special. The tour itself is already terrific due to the fantastic countryside and views. The hotels (except for the Launceston hotel) were great, and coming from a warm country the cool weather was very welcome. The long stay at Port Arthur was well arranged - you need time to absorb what had happened there - also some good walking opportunity there. Having someone like Carolyn in charge makes the trip very special and puts your company an extra notch above competition (if there is any). Her memory for names is simply spectacular. I regret that we did not sign up for the whole round Tasmania trip.

This was a good trip with excellent driver (Smilie) and guide (Carolyn). Both were very knowledgeable and provided wonderful commentary on Tasmanian history and the sights we visited. The coach tour was just magnificent and wonderful. I just couldn't believe how beautiful the country truly is. I enjoyed the helicopter flight to Fox Glacier and to stand on ice and snow for the first time was just awesome. Milford Sound was pure magic, even though it rained. The wildlife was amazing to see the penguins, seals, kea, and the royal albatross colony. The glowworms at Te Anau are amazing to see and the boat trip across Lake Te Anau just on sunset was stunning. The country was filled with beautiful flowers even though some are pests such as Broom and Gorse that made the country very picturesque with the colour yellow. One of my favourite photos is looking across Lake Tekapo towards Aoraki/Mount Cook and Mount Tasman with the Luppins on the foreshore. The Tour Director was a true entertainer who kept everyone entertained with information pertaining to each district we travelled through. The bus driver was a very experienced and careful making everyone feel safe. If I plan to travel by bus again, I would like to travel with same Tour Director. I am planning to come back to explore the North Island of New Zealand February 2012. Thank you for helping me enjoy my time in New Zealand.

Tour and arrangements were great. Pre and post accommodation at Ibis Christchurch was good. Robin Duncan our tour leader had a knowledge and friendliness un-surpassed. Tumati or driver was excellent. We enjoyed the company of fellow travellers and extra tours offered. Fox Glacier Hotel? We didn't like it, but overall everything was fine. Many thanks to Georgie Walpole who made our arrangements over the computer. We hope to be back!

Excellent tour. Well managed from the time of booking to the conclusion of the tour. The coach was very good, the tour Director Burt and the tour driver Smiley were so good and they were always thinking ahead of the group at all times. The group itself was well balanced, good company and made many new friends. The overnight stays were comfortable and the meals were great too. What we saw of Tasmania during our short stay, exceeded what was expected.

Had a wonderful time on our holiday. Had a few doubts at first about booking and paying so much online, and wondering if we had done the right thing. As time drew nearer to depart on our journey, and I had spoken to Georgina Walpole, I was more at ease about the trip and now I thank Georgie with all my heart as we all had a great time. AAT Kings were very professional throughout the whole trip and Carolyn, our tour hostess, worked above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we all had a great time. When we are ready to go on another trip we will definitely give you the opportunity to quote us and I am sure if other staff are as professional as Georgie we will be very satisfied with your help. Once again Don, Margaret ,Len and I sincerely thank you for all your help.

Really enjoyable holiday, Tony the tour guide was excellent as was most of the places we visited with the exception of Surfers Paradise which we thought was not a very nice area and I am sure somewhere better could have been found. All the hotels were to a very good standard, Fraser Island and Daydream Island were wonderful. All the people we meet on our tour were friendly which made it all the more enjoyable. We had a lot of rain whilst travelling but this didn't spoil things one bit.

Everything about this trip was terrific. Our tour director Gail Richards was very knowledgable, efficient & a lot of fun. Paul the bus driver likewise. The bus was always clean. Accommodation along the trip was excellent until we arrived in Darwin & stayed at the Mantra Pandanus. The front desk staff were far from helpful, bordering on rude at times. All the organised exursions ran smoothly. I will be recommending this trip to any of my friends who ask. I would encourage them to do it in September, as the weather was perfect. A wonderful experience for us. Thanks.

I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone. I was travelling alone and can honestly say that from my first contact with Georgie Walpole at Global Journeys I felt at ease with booking the trip. The hotels were first class and the coach drivers Ted and Dennis were extremely knowledgeable regarding the history and area that we visited. Also a special mention must go to Dennis who made sure that the disabled person in our party could enjoy the trip as much as the rest of us. I met some great people on the trip from young honeymoon couples to those who have now reached retirement, at no time did I feel alone. So thank you Georgie for organising such a great trip for me, I certainly will be contacting you again when I next visit Australia.

8 Day Top End Spectacular

My tour to the Top End was excellent and I would recommend it to everyone who hasn't seen this part of Australia. Our tour director (Lisa) and driver (Sheldon) were friendly, professional, helpful and very knowledgeable. Lisa is a very experienced tour director and Sheldon has additional local knowledge. The standard of accommodation was very good (the resort at Katherine could have been better, however the food was a good standard), The Vibe at Darwin and the Croc at Kakadu were outstanding. The included day excursions were very good - cruises on Katherine Gorge, Yellow Water Billabong and East Alligator River, and there were optional excursions as well. In summary, I was extremely satisfied with the tour and would definitely undertake further escorted tours with you.

The tour guides/bus drivers were excellent - their knowledge, concern and friendliness went above and beyond what was expected. Special mention for Dennis - he was the most caring and knowledgable of them all! Bluey, who did the half day tour of Darwin, needs a holiday, I think, as he was just a bit jaded. The lunches on the first two days of the tour were woeful! My family and I attempted to eat the lunch the first day, but gave up on the second day and bought our own food. The lunch on the third day was wonderful as was the breakfast on the cruise. The half day tour of Darwin was the most disappointing, as there was not enough time to visit the Botanical Gardens and we only stopped there for 5 minutes to watch the fountains! The tour overall was most enjoyable and we would recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to send in our feedback and thank you for the professional way you organised the tour for us - it was much appreciated.

Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef

4 Day Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef

What an experience! Every day a different trip and each one was quite unique and had lots to offer. The Novotel was an excellent hotel with lots of amenities; it was centrally positioned and the breakfasts were great. There was such a lot of choice on the buffet and they were open early enough so we could eat before our very early starts! Loved the train ride and Kuranda(bit touristy)and enjoyed the descent over the rain forest seeing such a variety of plants. Enjoyed the Tjapukai cultural park and learned a lot about the Aboriginal way of life in an interesting and fun way. Shame I couldn't catch my boomerang and get to keep it! Then we had a great trip out to the Barrier Reef, docking up to a floating platform. The whole trip was very well organised and got to see lots of the coral and fish in the semi-submersible craft. My hubby went snorkelling and sa loads too. Day 3 was our trip to the Daintree Rainforest. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the day. Cape Tribulation is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Obverall an exceptional trip. I could really recommend it. Would need to have an extra day to actually see anything of Cairns - although we did get to visit plenty of restaurants around the hotel.

Western Escape

15 Day Western Escape

We had a great time on the tour in Western Australia. We covered 5200 kilometres and saw a vast array of different places. The state of W.A. is very big as you no doubt know hence the distance we travelled. The first week the coach was almost full however for the Monkey Mia leg there were only 20 people on the coach. There were lots of interesting places to see. We especially liked some of the beach areas a lot of them rather remote and no one living there but very spectacular places. We were very impressed with Kalbarri and the surrounding area called Red Bluff. Also were impressed with Cape Le Grand and a beach named Thistle Beach - a lovely spot. We loved Perth which is a very clean city compared to Melbourne. They have a great river in the Swan very close to the city centre. We walked along there from our Hotel. The accommodation we stayed in were all very adequate. Our only criticism would be the location of many places which was away from the town centre which meant we couldn't go for a walk there in the evening. We would have liked to see more of Albany and Esperance but realise it isn't possible to see everything. Thank you for all your help with the tour. Will keep an eye on your web site for future reference.

The tour was purchased on behalf of my parents. They state it is one of the best holidays that they have ever had. Everything was well organised and flowed easy from the airport transfers to the actual tour itself. The coach was first class with an exceptional bus driver and tour guide. All the accommodation was as hoped being clean, comfortable and well positioned. All food was first class. The trip was full on but set at a pace that was easily held to by my aged parents. The trip and Global Journeys have a world class tour and it is highly recommended to anyone.

Well, we have returned home after a fabulous Tour of Tasmania. All went extremely smoothly in every regard. We were met at the Launceston airport by our tour director, Katherine, and driver, Peter, and taken to our hotel. From there everything went as per itinerary, and we had 50 onboard! Both Katherine and Peter were highly proficient in their roles, as well as being most helpful in the little extras, such as loading Judith's seat-walker and making it available when needed. Accommodation was excellent, as were the meals, and we loved Tasmania! Although it had been a non-guaranteed tour initially, I'm sure everyone was pleased with the trip as the weather was lovely, apart from one day on the Gordon River cruise, and we were well accommodated on the boat, so it didn't really matter. So, thankyou for all you did to make this possible. We have been singing your praises to all concerned, for we have been most appreciative of your efficient responses to all our enquiries. If there is anthing else you want to know please let us know. Maybe you can help us again sometime! In the meantime, please accept our gratitude for launching the tour for us, and following through to make things happen.

From the beginning Georgie made booking so easy. Thank you Georgie. Loved Tassie, saw lots, did lots, ate lots. Tour Guide Katherine very knowledgable and left us in no doubt as to what was happening. Driver Peter worked hard. No real complaints but disappointing that the Chancellor Queenstown manager so rude to his staff and some guests. Breakfast staff at Burnie seemed eager for us to move on. Last dinner at Mercure Launceston extremely poor however complaints accepted graciously. Great tour variety, something for everyone. Enjoyed some places so much wanted to go back and see more! Tour end felt a bit bitsy and flat. Would have liked a definite tour finish with opportunity for full group goodbye and thanks to our crew, especially as we had 'lived together' for 10 days. All four of us still buzzing and remembering special moments.

I found that the 10 days Best of Tasmania tour was a great way to see so many of the different but always interesting and beautiful areas of Tasmania. This was a most enjoyable tour. Much of the credit for this must go to the Tour Director, Carolyn, who engendered a really friendly spirit among the visitors and kept a careful watch for any special needs. A well organized and practiced tour. Very good accomodations with good meals (included). Typical AAT Kings tour with an excellant bus driver and an average tour guide. Kakadu and Arnhem Land

2 Day Kakadu and Arnhem Land

The tour exceeded my expectations. These landscapes are fascinating and the tour provided excellent scope for visiting them in a short time. The driver was knowledgeable and articulate and shared a wide range of information - at what seemed to me just the right range and level of detail - from the time the tour set out from Darwin. This enriched the experience of the tour substantially. The tour was well-paced, although I could have had less time on the billabong to permit more time at the very interesting Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. The day in Arnhem Land was excellent. The range of places visited and the features explained gave exceptional insight into this country. The tour leader, although not a local Aboriginal, was skilled, knowledgeable and responsive to the participants and handled unexpected road and smoke conditions adeptly. The meals provided and the accommodations chosen worked well.

As far as itinerary went, it would be difficult to have a more complete tour. Enough praise cannot be given also to the tour company, especially the tour director and driver we were given. This was an excellent tour, and I have no suggestions for improvement. Everything was well-organized and on schedule. I spent four nights in Melbourne before joining the tour. This was particularly interesting to me, because I was stationed about 50 miles to the north in early 1942, when I was with the U.S. army during WWII. I had been back to Australia only once, in 1954. In general, Australia has changed very much (as has the U.S.) since my previous visits. But the Australian people are still very friendly and easy to get along with. It was a special plus to be with a group which was made up primarily of Australians. I cannot say enough to compliment and praise the tour guide, Lisa Cardwell. She was knowledgeable, efficient, had a great sense of humor, and made everybody feel at ease. I have been on guided tours on five continents, and she stands out as one of the very best in the business. Daryl, the coach driver, was also topnotch; and the coach itself was clean and in good mechanical condition. Thanks for the most enjoyable(and relaxing) journey.
