9 Day Prague, Vienna & Budapest - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

Overall this tour was excellent for its price. The accommodation provided was unexpectedly fantastic for the price of tour. My main downfall of the tour would be the timing as it fell on the Epiphany and during the weekend a lot of places were closed and on those days we had no sightseeing options. I had a great time and made some new friends. I would not hesitate to recommend others and perhaps i would choose a longer tour next time as it was extremely fun. [More+]

8 Day European Traveller (Winter) - (Trafalgar Coach Tour)

We had a great time on our tour and loved all the places we were taken to. It was a whirlwind trip and we saw so much in a very short period of time (8 days). We know the trip was a taster to see the highlights and to make us want to see more. It worked! Our tour director Mike was excellent and his knowledge and language skills were second to none. The next time we would take a longer trip with at least 2 days in each main city. The group we went with were all marvellous and the different personalities and nationalities made for an excellent experience. Thank you for a wonderfull trip. [More+]

8 Day Parades to Piazzas - (Topdeck Tour)

I went on this tour very unsure of what to expect. Turns out it was one of the most amazing experiences in my life! The tour guide was great with an extensive knowledge of the places we visited and their history and also very friendly and fun. The tour itself was a great balance between group activities and free time to explore. Being on a tour with fellow travelers allowed the beginning of some great friendships and a trip I'll never forget! [More+]

7 Day Vienna, Prague and Budapest - (Insight Vacations Coach Tour)

The tour went off without a hitch, everyone involved, the tour director, driver, hotel staff and local guides all were great. There was lots of information, enough free time to poke around and additional tours for those who wanted to delve deeper into the cities and the culture of these amazing places. Without guides the cities themselves would have been daunting and could not have been appreciated in the short time frame. Stops in Chesky Kumlov and Bratislava enhanced the experience as the time on the bus was not too great. Overall a good time with a group of 24 friendly people. [More+]

6 Day Real Britain (Winter) - (Trafalgar Coach Tour)

This was the first guided tour we had ever been on. We usually just plan our own activities and go where we want to. From start to finish the tour was simply amazing. Everything was organised for us, and we got to see way more in one day than we could ever organise ourselves. We saw so much of England in 6 days it was amazing. We will definately be travelling with Trafalgar again. The tour director and driver were amazing guys who made everything fun and educational. Hotels and food included was excellent and value for money was superb. Yvonne from Global Journeys organised our booking and provided assistance whenever we needed it. She also gave us helpful hints. Thank you for your excellent service and assistance, we will be booking with you again in the future. [More+]

14 Day Winter Wonder - (Topdeck Tour)

I had a great time on the Topdeck Winter Wonder tour. Our tour director and coach driver were both really friendly and had a great sense of humour. It really set a great tone for the trip. The hotels were better than I expected. While they are advertised as 2 and 3 star with disclaimers about European standards being different to Australian standards, I found them to be on par with 3 star rooms in Australia. With the exception of the hotel in Florence (limited hot water), I was happy and comfortable in each of the hotels. The lodge on Mt. Rigi was awesome! The hotels weren't always close to the city centre but they were close to transport and there were often drop offs and pick ups made by the driver. The structure of the tour was good. We had two nights nights in each of the main cities and were given free time to explore. I really enjoyed having free time to explore on your own (or with newly made friends!). The one nights stops (Heidelberg and Salzburg) were a little more difficult to explore given the time restrictions but if you have an idea of the places you would like to see before you arrive you'll be fine. There were a range of optionals on offer and each of these were worth the money paid. I particularly enjoyed the t-shirt which we designed on the bus - a great momento of the trip with everyone's name :) I had a great time on the tour. I appreciated the structure where we had a tour of each city and then given time to explore at our own pace. The people on my tour were mostly couples and while they enjoyed a drink at the bar they weren't out to party hard every night. The bus trips were great with games and activities for the longer drives. It was a great way to see all the major sights. If you want to explore the main cities of Europe with a mixture of guided tours, activities and time to explore on your own then this tour is definitely worth considering. [More+]

9 Day Winter Wonderland with Christmas Markets - (Insight Vacations Coach Tour)

70 people prayed for snow and snow is what we got from the 1st morning of our tour, it was amazing. We had the best historian and orator as our tour guide - Vincenzo. A winter wonderland in all its glory. My only complaint was that a couple of the motels would only be rated as 3* and the food on the last night in Offenbach was terrible. Our driver and the tour itself - fanstastic. [More+]

11 Day Christmas in the Slovenian Alps - (Albatross Coach Tour)

Thanks for the opportunity to review our recent trip - Christmas in the Solvenian Alps. First of all, thank you very much for your fantastic service. We had a few special requests which you were able to arrange for us and we really appreciate the effort you went to in liaising with the tour operators. Nothing was any trouble for you and we received excellent service and communication from you at every turn of the booking process. The trip with Albatross Tours was just perfect. We had an very good tour guide and happy friendly driver and the itinerary was just brilliant. We especially enjoyed the fact that this tour had two to four night stays in each location and this made for a relaxing and care free experience. The quality of the hotels was excellent and the location of these hotels was very central and made it easy to walk around and do our own thing with plenty of free time thrown in. We had plenty of time on the organised trips to visit the highlight places to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere and experience the Christmas markets and see how the Europeans decorate their towns and shops for the festive season. Overall, we were thoroughly satisfied with the whole package and we really enjoyed ourselves and the company of fellow minded travelers - which is what it is all about. Thanks again for everything and we will look forward to see what is on offer for 2012 and beyond. [More+]

14 Day Grand Tour Of France - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

First of all a BIG thankyou to Yvonne who helped me organise my tour and my flights. It meant it was organised with ease and she was so helpful that I would definitely recommend Global Journeys. This was my first tour overseas, and I was by myself. Interestingly I was the only person (other then the Tour Director and the Driver) who spoke French. The Cosmos tour I participated in was the Grand Tour of France. This was such a great experience. The tour itself was on during the low season (December 2011) but, this was great. The tour was run with only 13 other people on the tour. This meant that the pace of the tour was neither slow nor fast, and with only 13 people to keep a track of, the Tour Director (Riccardo, he made the tour so enjoyable and hilarious) was able to provide us with a great informative experience. Plus it meant that the 13 of us were like a little family. As I said I enjoyed the tour, and I would probably travel with Cosmos again, there really only were only minor problems. I paid for an airport transfer, but none ever came to pick me up. I rang Cosmos and I was told to work this out with my tour director. Reading the book that came with the tour, I believe as my flight had a delayed arrival after 1400 I was unable to get my transfer.

The other thing people should be aware of is the hotels. For the most part the hotels were perfectly fine. In fact I was pleasantly surprised (I recommend looking up all the hotels on Tripadvisor before you go, just so you know what they are like.) However, the tour drops into Lyon, but it isn't really Lyon and you don't get to see Lyon, so don't expect that. The hotel is so far out that all you can do is go to sleep. The only other hotel I had a problem with was the Ibis Avignon we stayed in, my experience was the bed was a board. But it was only one night. Also The Forest Hill in Porte de la Villette is not as bad as some reviews say, but Cosmos could have somewhere better for people to stay in on tour. The lift broke with fellow tourers in it. Oh and free wifi, most hotels have free wifi BUT Park Inn in Nice makes you pay for wifi, something like 6 Euro an hour.

The biggest bonus I had with the hotel rooms was that I only paid for a single/share for the tour but all the other singles paid for a single room so I had a room to myself for the whole tour, which was lovely. All in all I had the best time, the Tour Director, Riccardo was lovely, hilarious and helpful and the driver Ammarah always helped us out of the coach, and had some of the best driving skills I have ever seen. He managed to drive through fog over the alps. Impressive. I honestly cannot think of anything beyond little things that I didn't like, and as long as you do your research so you know what hotels are like in Europe (actually mine were larger then I expected, bigger than a postage stamp).

I recommend the tour as an introduction to France as it gives you a broader view then just Paris, and the people of France were so lovely to us (as long as you try with French you are set). [More+]

9 Day Winter Wonderland with Christmas Markets - (Insight Vacations Coach Tour)

I'll bullet point the comments to make it easier to read, but please dont think we were disappointed with the tour, we were VERY happy with the overall experience. The poor points were really disappointments relative to our expectations after reading the itinerary blurb.

  • Its called a 9 day tour, its really only 7 days the first and last days do not contribute to the tour very much at all.
  • The tour director and driver were very good, helpful, talkative and we always felt safe. I suspect that the tour directors each have their own interest/expertise, ours was history and while we learnt a lot about historical events, we would have liked a bit more information about our surroundings at the time.
  • The included dinners were poor quality, the welcome meal at the Sheraton Hotel was particularly bad and we actually complained about it at the time. The 'Highlight Dinner' was very average, more like a pub meal and I wont mention the very poor (house) red wine served! This was inconsistent with the 'Business Class' touring style Insight portray.
  • The Sheraton & Hilton hotel experiences were very good, probably better than expected actually, whereas we stayed at a couple of other hotels that were quite disappointing, surly and unhelpful staff and small/hot/noisey rooms.
  • The coach was very airy and spacious and quiet, with plenty of legroom (I'm 6' 4")and the driver managed it extremely well particularly in tight spaces/parking.
  • The tour pace was very good, casual and generally unrushed with the optional tours generally well recieved by everybody on board.
  • We were disapointed by the cancellation of our chairlift ride up into the mountains in Lucerne (due to poor weather, high winds) and can accept that these things happen, however, there was no alternative offerred, not even a drive up into the mountain villages. Hence we had way too much time in Lucerne just shopping/walking around and felt that there should have been a backup plan for bad weather.
  • The exposure to the Christmas markets was very good, every one was different in its own way.
  • A general observation we made (not just on this tour, but everywhere we went in UK/Europe) was that visiting popular places at weekends is to be avoided! We could not believe the crowds, and Valerie actually felt claustrophobic battling our way through the christmas markets on Sat/Sun (she is 5' 2").
  • Global Journeys (Yvonne) was very supportive and helpful (and patient with all my questions!), particularly when our tour date was cancelled while we were already travelling, she managed to make the new arrangements quite painless for us.

16 Day The Best Of Europe - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

This trip was our first experience of a coach tour so did not really know what to expect. We had a fabulous time and I think I can say, exceeded our expectations. It was so good not to have to think about anything apart form having a good time!! Our tour director, Sylvia was so good - very knowledgeable and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We were also amazed at the narrow spots Luigi could get the coach through!! We saw and did so much in a short time. I would thoroughly recommend a Cosmos tour and also Global Journeys. Frances was great to deal with and always got back to me quickly. I'm looking forward to our next trip already.

15 Day Best of Spain & Portugal - (Insight Vacations Coach Tour)

The tour was a great success. Previously I had driven around Spain and Portugal, but being driven by an expert who knew all the best routes and having hotels and meals arranged was much more relaxing. Having to give up complete freedom for an organized tour was well worth it. The tour was well organized with a brilliant tour guide (Mark) who supplied us with information from his lifetime experience of these countries. It was constantly interesting and informative. We were taken to out of the way places which we would not have known about on our own. The bus was comfortable with lots of room to relax. As well as the organized parts we were frequently left on our own to wander around interesting places and find shops and cafes. All the hotels were really good, some much better than we normally choose. Breakfasts and dinners were very good. I can think of absolutely nothing to complain about in the whole time of our journey.

16 Day The Best Of Europe - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

We had an amazing time on our Cosmos 'Best of Europe' Tour and we have nothing but praise for the company, our tour director and our driver. The complete package was ten times better than we expected and was organised to perfection. We would have no hesitation in recommending Cosmos or Global Journeys to other travellers and our only comment would be that the tour that we did was quite busy and probably not well suited to anyone that was not physically fit. We would be happy for any of your clients or yourself to ask us any questions that may add to their holiday experience. Thank you so much for organising the tour for us. This tour was one of the best travel tours I have ever taken. It was a great adventure. Hotels, the tour director, optional tours were all excellent. The group of tourists - a mixture of Americans, Japanese, Philippinos, Canadians and Australians were a great group to be with - very few complaints among the group. 13 Day Imperial Capitals - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

The Cosmos tour was amazing! The driver and tour director were both wonderful, very accommodating and knowledgeable, and everything was so straightforward and easy to understand. It was planned so well, and I was never left wondering what to do. There was a lot packed into the 13 day tour, but I was satisfied that I'd seen the best of everywhere we went, and I would definitely book a Cosmos tour again! As a solo traveller, the initial organisation was a bit confusing and intimidating, being thrown onto a bus with no introductions and with two other tour codes, but I understand they were just getting us all down to Dover as fast as possible. It was just a bit uncomfortable to begin with! But once we got onto our respective coaches in Calais, our tour director was fantastic and I felt much more comfortable. I was concerned as well about the age range, as I am 24 and much younger than the common age range for Cosmos tours, but I got lucky and there was a great range of people from their 20's through to their 70's. It was a fantastic choice for a solo female traveller! My experience with Global Journeys was nothing but positive - Yvonne and Frances were so thorough that I never needed to ask any further questions, and they were quick with a quote so that I met the 4 month advance discount. I would definitely recommend Global Journeys to anyone else considering booking a tour - and the bonus for me was that they waived the single traveller supplement, and I ended up sharing with another girl in her 20's which worked out so well! Overall, it was the best experience, and I am already looking into more tours.

13 Day Splendours of Italy - (Costsaver Coach Tour)

We were both very pleased with the way in which the tour was conducted and the places that we saw. We thought that we would be 'in' some of the places. ie in Rome city however it was possibly best that we were located outside of the cities. I just think that needs to be better understood prior to the tour and obviously the reasons why you would not want to stay in the heart of some of the bigger cities (apart from the additional costs). The tour guide and the bus driver were both very good. The tour guide obviously has to handle a lot of different personalities including ours, and she handled this really well. We felt that there were some people within the group that should not have been on this type of tour as they had real difficulty with walking. Once again the tour guide assisted them quite well but it did annoy ourselves as well as other members of the group as it was very well spelt out that walking would be required with the tour. The tour guides knowledge was exceptional, she provided us with a lot of info not only on the guided tours but as the bus was driving. Some of the meals at some of the hotels were very basic, the best meals were where we paid extra and they ended up being great nights. Personally we would pay a little more to get a better evening meal. A couple of the hotels were located in areas where you could not go out and shop or buy anything, nothing wrong with the hotels but you could not do much else in these locations. Might sound as though we are complaining a lot but this is not intended, as stated we really enjoyed the overall tour and the people that we met. It was a very good group. I found Yvonne to be extremely helpful with providing all details re the tour and also with a number of questions that I had. We got a response very quicky and it made the tour hassle free, thank you. We would definitely recommend using Global Journeys for anyone going on a tour, very professional.

8 Day Romantic Rhine - (Avalon River Cruise)

Yvonne's service was very good. We received prompt and professional replies to our inquiries, bookings were handled smoothly and all of the tour information and tickets arrived on time. We enjoyed the cruise; the cruise director & ship's crew were excellent, the ship was very comfortable with well planned cabins; catering was of a high standard; the cruise length suited our needs. Our only suggestion is that the daily included tours (all very interesting and efficiently run by knowledgeable local tour guides) should commence a little later in the morning eg. 9:30, not 8:15, as on most days we could not have a leisurely breakfast and morning. Overall we had a great time and would certainly consider and recommend Global Journeys and Avalon cruises in the future.

Booking was made through Global Journeys with no problems. The tour was very interesting visiting iconic places in three states of America. Tour bus driver was excellent with a smooth journey and tour director was very helpful, could not fault either. I was very sceptical about booking through an online agency but was very pleasantly surprised by the prompt service and suggestions. My holiday was booked very quickly and without any problems and I was happy that I could take advantage of the special Trafalgar offer. I've sent the Global Journeys weblink to all my friends and family and have inspired them to take a similar trip. My Portugal tour with Trafalgar was incredible and being an avid traveller, it would be the best tour I have taken. The Tour Director obviously had a great of input into designing the trip, and his expertise, enthusiasm and knowledge of his country was very much appreciated and enjoyed. The hotels were superior and the included food was excellent. The optionals were great and I thought the whole tour package was excellent value for money.

13 Day Italy's Best - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

I have been to Italy many times before but this was a first for both my wife and I with regard to a fully organised and guided tour of Italy. We didnt really know what to expect as we had read some reviews of this tour and some of the comments were not that complinetary and seemed that some of the comments were in my view overly picky (eg, people were critical of the breakfasts each morning [continental] or that the hotels were not all that good etc). For Candice and I we were not only pleasantly surprised about the quality of the hotels (cleanliness etc) but just how well run the whole tour was. We were informed at every hotel about the schedule for the day/night as well as the schedule for the following day. The tour guide we had (Armando) was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. It helped that I also spoke Italian so was able to converse with him about other sites to see and areas to of interest. Our driver Pasquale Miranda was also an absolute hoot. He didnt realise that I was Italian at first but when he realised I was we got on like a house on fire. He was courteous, friendly and always made an effort to come and speak to my and wife each day. We got on so well with both the driver and tour guide, that we have exchanged email and facebook addresses. The sites of Italy speak for themselves but what made our tour so memorable was the people we met and friends we made on the tour, and just how much the tour guide and driver were there to help us. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is considering a fully organised tour of Italy. I would say for anyone who has read negative comments about this tour and for anyone reading my comments I would say this to you, take the hotels, breakfasts etc for what it is. You are in Italy to see the sights and splendor and to experience Italy. I would recommend this tour to my friends and family without question. Both Candice and I are working on our next trip to Italy and are aiming at doing the Cosmos tour of Sicily as this is something truly spectaclur and wonderous to see (from my previous visit there). A big thanks must go to Yvonne who helped us out and was always there to answer questions for us.

6 Day Scenic England - (Trafalgar Coach Tour)

I had a wonderful time and I couldn't praise enough the whole experience. Georgie from Global Journeys was extremely helpful, courteous and very efficient with her help to me with my all my queries and needs. She followed through with every request with promptness and friendliness. Thank you Georgie for your wonderful service. The whole procedure for me, a total novice at the computer and booking things on-line was so simple thanks to you. The tour itself was amazing. The tour guide, Steen Harris was both professional to his toes, but with a very warm wit and amazingly good knowledge of his surroundings. It was a pleasure to hear his recounting the information regarding the places we visited, as well as his very up to date knowledge of all that's happening in the UK, unlike a previous tour taken many years ago, when the guides voice was a drivelling self indulgent monotone. The hotels that we stayed at were of an excellent quality and very good food was offered at each meal. The coach was comfortable and kept spotless by the extremely good driver, Shane. So all told, a pure joy to experience and highly recommended to anyone wishing to do this or a similar tour with Trafalgar. It offers value for money and extremely good service throughout.

7 Day Best of Scotland - (Trafalgar Coach Tour)

Great organisation by agent Georgie Walpole, extremely efficient and hassle free. Tour of Scotland was very enjoyable, tour leader Tom was knowledgeable and organised and a pleasant guy. Bus new and comfortable and driver also exemplary. The guide at Edinburgh Castle was loud and self important and treated us like children. There is no doubt he is very knowledgeable but I think you could do better here. The whiskey distillery was not functioning when we visited and the guide was bored and boring. This was a big waste of time and every one who went agreed it was hopeless. Apart from these two minor problems the trip was all I hoped for. It gave me a glimpse of Scotland and I will return there for a longer holiday in future. The Highlands and Loch Lomand cruise were in my opinion the best part but of course that is just personal preference.

The extra two days I spent in Frankfurt before the tour began were well worth the effort and I was fully out of jetlag and able to commence the tour with body and mind in Germany. The tour was, as is usually the case, very rushed and there were places I could easily have spent more time, especially Munich and Vienna. A couple of the hotels left a lot to be desired from either being much too far out of town or not up to an acceptable standard. The tour guide (Arna) was every helpful with hints of places to purchase mementos and have a meal, often the local culinary delight. Mustafa, the bus driver, was excellent and these two helped to make the tour a delight. The coach was comfortable and roomy. Arna's history lessons of the places that were visited or driven through or passed by were very informative and assisted in gaining a view of the people and places that we travelled through and visited. I enjoyed the tour immensely and would recommend it to other people that showed an interest. My only proviso is that I believe that the tour is more suited to a couple or group than a single person travelling alone. I often was left out like a shag on a rock.

15 Day Western Escape - (AAT Kings Coach Tour)

We enjoyed the tour but did not realize it was actually split in two, so it gave us a chance to meet different people and we enjoyed the camaraderie of both. Greg and Daryl were great - watching Daryl vacuum the flies off the front window was entertaining. The choices made for stops were excellent, although I am sure that trying to remember everything Greg mentioned is impossible. Thank goodness I took a few notes. Hotels were good, although the breakfasts were quite repetitive but always enough to fill one's belly. Enjoyed the Whale museum, Super Pit, Mine tour, Gloucester tree, the jetty, the Wave etc. The chocolate factory was just a store to buy chocolate and not a tour. The fact that we had a few choices was good. The second and northerly half was equally as good. The only time we were less than pleased was the flower farm. Expected more of a tour and live flowers but the worst was how rushed we were because she had 4 groups in an hour and was quite abrupt with us. 2 nights at Monkey Mia was good.

9 Day Highlights of France & Barcelona - (Trafalgar Coach Tour)

We undertook two tours, the second of which was a Trafalgar tour of France and Spain, which was excellent, and with just 29 on board it was much easy to move around and to get to know people. The pace was slightly more relaxed than on our Globus UK tour. The Tour Guide, Martine Carr was extremely pleasant, competent, and had all the info at her fingertips. The driver also was very competent and managed to negotiate some very tight spots indeed. A couple of times he was caught out by his GPS on roads he was unfamiliar with, but it caused no real dramas. The Trafalgar tour coach was better than the Globus coaches as far as comfort was concerned. All accommodation was top notch, and the included meals were also excellent. Given that it was France and the 'Home of quality Wines' we were most disappointed with the poor wines we were served with our included meals though. The 'Be My Guest' dinner was truly excellent, but the optional Flaminco Dancing after the Farewell dinner in Barcellona was quite uninspiring. All the places we visited were fantastic and well worth seeing - particularly Paris, Monte Carlo, St Paul, & Montserrat Monastery amonst many others. There were a few very long days of travelling where some good tourist spots - even Wineries could have been included to break up the long hours sitting in the coach. The truck stops we used instead on the Freeways were very ordinary. The first long haul was from Bourges to a truck stop near Vichy, the second was from there to Lyon, the third was from Lyon to Chateauuneuf du Pape north of Avignon, the fourth was from Avignon to Nice, and the largest and most uninteresting haul was from Cannes to Barcelona with some very ordinary truckstops along the way. The long distances had to be done, but some enjoyable scenic/tourist breaks would have helped. Perhaps an extra day and stop overnight near Marseille could be considered to break up this last haul, or alternatively have a different tour that finishes at Nice or Marseille and their airports. Overall these minor negatives were outweighed by the fantastic places we visited and saw, and the expert commentary. The detailed tour information, patient guidance and help from Yvonne Brooks from Global Journeys was fantastic, and she made our first time overseas trip a hassle-free experience. I would strongly recommend this tours to anyone who wants to see a lot of France in a short time, who wants value for money, and is prepared to be 'busy'. (GJ: Review split over two tours taken.)

9 Day Irish Explorer - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

Had a great time and both tour quide and bus driver were wonderful. Tour guide was very informative, chatty, funny and willing to help in anyway possible and both driver and guide made tour very easy to enjoy. Would have liked a little more time at some attractions and perhaps a little more personal time for shopping etc and some of the hotels did not give you information their facilities (i.e. how showers worked, control of heating). Would like to travel again with Global/Cosmos tours as this tour was more than we had hoped for and the tour consultant was very helpful with all questions and extras required in conjuction with tour. Tour information and tickets and extras very complete and well presented when received in useful folder.

21 Day Grand European - (Trafalgar Coach Tour)

Brian and I have waited more than 20 years to do our first big European trip together, so we wanted it to be perfect and hassle free...it was ! Our tour was brilliantly organised by Yvonne Brooks. At first we were a bit concerned using email and internet , but Yvonne was always in contact and quick to respond and alleviate any concerns. Our whole tour went off without a hitch! The tour leader, Howard Hazecamp was excellent and informative. He was very well organised, and even the riots in Rome and a pheasant hitting our bus, did not spoil our trip. Everything went off without a hitch , which we put down to the organisation and attention to detail displayed from the moment we decided to travel! The tour itself was fantastic, we had a great group of people on our tour which made it so much fun. The hotels were excellent and the places we saw and the experiences were unforgettable. We loved The Mt Pilatus Excursion, The Seine and Rhine River Cruises, The Gondolas in Venice - where we were serenaded, Pompeii, Positano, Assisi, Florence, Rome and of course Paris. The city by night tour was spectacular, finishing with the sparkling Eiffel Tower which Howard, took us to as a grand finale. We were so impressed with Howard who always took the time to ensure that every person on the tour was satisfied, all questions were answered and each person felt comfortable. We have shared so many photos and stories with friends and family. One of the highlights was at the end of our tour when flying home we wanted to have a 2 night stopover to break up the trip. Yvonne suggested and organised lovely little details such as a car to pick us up from Hong Kong Airport to take us to the Harbour Grand Hotel, (where we felt like celebrities) . We felt so pampered and spoilt that we arrived home in Australia relaxed and not overly jet lagged. Even when Qantas grounded the Fleet , we emailed Yvonne who sent a prompt reply and some suggestions as to what to do. (The flights resumed the next day and we were not affected thankfully!) We hear so many horror stories about people's trips overseas and I have to say our was not one of them. We loved every minute of it. Everything went seamlessly and we would put that down to the professionalism and organisation of every person we dealt with from the moment we decided to book our holiday . Thank you to Global Journeys and Trafalgar, we will have so many memories to treasure and share and we will certainly be recommending your companies to colleagues, family and friends!

10 Day Grand Tasman - (Travelmarvel Coach Tour)

We had a wonderful time touring Tasmania. First of all, Relaxing Journeys (now Global Journeys) did an excellent job in organzing our tour. The Tour Manager is fantastic who guided us all through the journey with excellent commentaries. During the whole journey, he did not hesitate to introduce Tasmania to us through his own experience as a true Tasmanian. The driver is also excellent. Not only is he a safe driver, he manoeuvred his vehicle in a very professional manner and he looked after the elderlys very well. Have to mention also that they both have a sense of humour, and the duo made our journey a very pleasant and memorable one. Needless to say, we were also blessed with very fine weather all the way, and I have met some very nice people from all over the world. All in all, the tour is excellent, and by far the best that I have ever experienced. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and people in Hong Kong.

8 Day Turkish Delights - (Insight Vacations Coach Tour)

We were absolutely delighted with this tour. The quality of the accommodation was excellent as were the included tours and all the meals. The bus was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The tour guide, Rashid Ergner, was exceptional. He had an amazing knowledge of all aspects of Turkey and even though Georgia was the only child on the tour she enjoyed this tour as much as us. We would highly recommend this Insight tour and would consider Insight again if we choose to tour again.

13 Day Italy's Best - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

We just got married and were hoping to have a memorable honeymoon trip without blowing our budget and after comparing many websites we decided to try Global Journeys. Well, with the same tour and package they give us a much better price. The tour we took was with Cosmos - 13 days in Italy. Before our trip friends and family told us some 'not so nice' experiences with Italy and how tiring it would be joining a guided tour, so we got kind of worried. But Cosmos totally changed our perception and it was a magical trip for both of us and definitely worth every of our penny! We would say it was perfect throughout from the beginning to the end. The tour director was very friendly, funny, helpful, responsible and very attentive as well. The whole trip was very well organized down to nuts & bolts and most importantly the pace was really nice. There were no complaints at all. One thing we have to mention about the tour director is that he was swift - if you needed anything at all, straight away he'd arrange/settle it on the spot. In addition to that being local he new everything about Italy, and he had us all cruising through the trip without a bump. Definitely love it and made lots of friends through the trip. We are now planning for another tour to Europe again hopefully by next year.

We had a wonderful trip, as well as the main stops on the itinerary we saw so much more than we expected along the way. It was value for money, very well organised even with a full coach. 15 Day Spain, Portugal & Morocco - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

This tour was my 3rd one with Cosmos. Number 1 , I had a couple of issues with. Number 2 was much better, but this tour of Spain, Portugal & Morocco was fantastic. I can't express my pleasure with the entire trip enough. The Tour Director was the best. Amazing person, as was the driver. Both of them involved themselves as family and gave us 1st class service. I was travelling alone, but no one would have guessed that as thanks to our amazing Director, we all worked together. It was an amazing trip and I can't say enough about it.

8 Day America's Historic East - (Globus Coach Tour)

We found the tour to be very well organised and very informative. The bus driver and the tour manager were both very helpful and the whole tour ran like clockwork. The additional tour guides who were used at specific destinations also really knew their stuff so we did not miss out on anything of significance in any of the places we visited. Instructions given were very clear and after the initial cost of the tour there was very little need to spend any additional money as almost everything was prepaid. Overall a very enjoyable experience and we would not hesitate to do another Globus bus tour.

17 Day European Cavalcade - (Costsaver Coach Tour)

I had a wonderful time, although very tired at the end as it seemed to be go, go, go. We had lots of free time, in some places it was too long in others too short. Unfortunately most of Europe was having an Indian Summer which caught all of us out as we had packed for cool to cold weather so my suggestion would be to suggest to any other travellers doing this tour at this time of the year packing for all kinds of conditions eg. 1/2 & 1/2. I met some wonderful people from a wide range of backgrounds and seeing that I was the only one travelling alone I was made very welcome and never left out of anything and they all looked after me even though I was quite capable of doing so myself, I just let them look after me. The bathrooms in a few of the hotels were a bit on the small side especially for those travelling as a couple but I was fine. The food was delicious and definately too much (3 course meals each night). I have one complaint is that sometimes we arrived at our hotel late and only had time to put our carry-on luggage into our rooms before having to head to the resturant for our dinner, some of us would have liked to have time to at least freshen up a little before having to go to dinner. I'm not sure what Trafalgar can do about that situation. Apart from the bathrooms, weather and arrivals at the hotels, as I said before i had a wonderful time and would recommend this tour.

14 Day Eastern US & Canada Grand Vacation - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

Although we have travelled extensively, this was our first coach tour and we approached it with entirely open minds. It was an easy way to get around and we sure did that - 3,000km in two weeks. The trip booklet we were issued with covered most organisational things so well that we were not having to ask. The hotels were exceptionally good, the coach very good and the driver amazing! But it was the tour guide who made the trip run so smoothly and successfully - he was very well organised, extremely knowledgeable, a great communicator, and calm and understanding at all times. The local guides were on the whole very good. We like the way Cosmos offers optional excursions, and also free time in most places with maps and information provided. The videos relating to some cities visited were good. I can think of only one thing that I would have liked - a large-scale map showing our daily routes. And maybe some books/info on the areas we were passing through to peruse as we drove along. All in all, thumbs up Cosmos for an economical and well-run trip.

17 Day The Best Of British Isles - (Globus Coach Tour)

We undertook two tours, this review relates to our Globus tour of the UK which was excellent, and the help I received from Yvonne at Global Journeys was superb. On this tour we were extremely fortunate to have Jim Lemmon as our Tour Guide. He was well organised, very helpful and pleasant at all times, and he was a 'Walking Encyclopedia'. He managed to link all the regions, towns and buildings etc to their interwoven history in a most enjoyable way. His little 'asides' and bits of history and knowledge were most entertaining. Tony the Irish bus driver was also extremely confident and competent in his driving, and was amazing to watch as he easily negotiated the narow difficult roads and parking spots. The two had obviously worked together often and had a friendly and entertaining repartee for us about the locations etc. They were both most enjoyable. The small detours/alternate routes were most worthwhile as was Jims selection of entertainment and places to visit at the various stops. The group was large - possibly too large at 44 for a top quality tour, so that it was difficult to get to know everyone, and to easily move around. The first coach we had was quite good, but when it went in for servicing in Ireland, the replacement had quite a noisy engine etc. which made sitting near the rear a bit 'tiring', and the next coach we got had many seats that would not recline which was annoying. We saw a huge amount of fantastic places in the 17 days, but it was extremely 'busy' (as I expected), so that the duration of 17 days was definitely a maximum to do before exhaustion set in. It was more enjoyable when we had two nights in the one spot, so that packing up was reduced (and the washing could be completed). There were a few days where we had to travel long distances, but these needed a stop at something of interest to break up the journeys rather than the uninspiring truckstops. The first of these was between York and Hadrians Wall, the second was from Pembrooke to Newport (a very boring day following the very long ferry ride), the third was from Plymouth to Stonehenge, and the fourth was from Salisbury to London. We were lucky with the weather, and all the spots we toured/visited were very interesting and great value, and should not be missed. Perhaps the only let-down was the entertainment in Edinbrough, and the hotel there. Otherwise the accomodation and included meals were generally top value - except for the Glascow hotel where the buffet kept running out of food courses. There were so many excellent highlights of this tour it is difficult to list them all, suffice to say that none should be missed. Overall, these minor negatives were overcome by the excellent service and amazing and historic places we were guided through with some fantastic detailed commentary. The detailed tour information, patient guidance and help from Yvonne Brooks from Global Journeys was fantastic, and she made our first time overseas trip a hassle-free experience. 8 Day Britain & Ireland Highlights - (Trafalgar Coach Tour)

Trafalgar First Class tour of Best of Britain & Ireland Highlights for 8 days was excellent. The organisation was impeccable with tour guide Amy Pomeroy doing an extraordinary job of coordinating our arrivals at accommodation (our room keys were always ready within 5 minutes) and sight seeing destinations to ensure that all available time was accounted for in this jam packed adventure. Amy ensured travellers were aware of their duties with regard to punctuality etc and this made the trip even more enjoyable as we did not spend time waiting for people who overslept or overstayed at travel stops. Outstanding job Amy! Martin and John our drivers have amazing driving skills. We felt safe in their hands. The accommodation was excellent and comfortable. Thankyou for organising this wonderful tour.

14 Day Scottish Highlands & Islands - (Globus Coach Tour)

Extremely well organised tour. It was our first coach tour with many other people, so we were a little apprehensive at first. But it all worked very well, thanks mainly to the work of the tour director, Megan. She made the travel, accom, meal organisation, stops along the way all go very smoothly. This tour, around the Scottish Highlands & Islands, is a winner! Magnificent scenery everywhere, interesting visits to castles, abbeys, palaces, ruins & towns/cities. The mix of people was ok - Americans, Canadians and a few of us Aussies all got on well, all 44 of us! Our driver - Danny - was thoroughly professional in his demeanour, and skilled in his driving. The way in which he manoeuvred the large coach around numerous narrow roads in the north of Scotland was extraordinary. And he didn't get us lost once! The coach was always clean and we felt safe in his care. Megan was calm, caring, informative and entertaining throughout. When sickness began striking people down over a few days, she did what she could to alleviate concerns, keep everybody positive and show concern for the sickies. Apparently no other companies do such a tour - I hope Globus keeps this one! We all saw places that we wouldn't have seen on our own, and there was plenty of opportunity to admire the spectacular scenery. All accommodation was excellent - we seemed mostly to have large rooms, often with good views. Meals that were included as part of the tour, were generally very good, with enough choices for everyone. I'm sure we will look at doing another Globus tour soon. We would certainly recommend this tour, without hesitation.

27 Day European Masterpiece - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

Just returned this week from our extended holiday. The Masterpiece tour was wonderful with good to excellent hotels and included meals. We had plenty of sunshine with next to no rain (Amsterdam the exception) and the group were supportive and good company. The tour director was knowledgeable and the driver very competent. As was to be expected it was hectic but we experienced some amazing places and it gave us a general overview of many countries. Minor inconvenience was lack of laundry facilities, but you get by. The other thing was not knowing ahead how much you needed to use the toilets, just need to ensure you carry plenty of coins! This was our 3rd Cosmos tour and I would certainly recommend them, just didn't like the amount they charged us to alter our travel dates, as this made the holiday quite expensive. However that aside it was good value for money and very well organised.

34 Day European Heritage - (Insight Vacations Coach Tour)

Jenny and I returned today from our trip to England and Europe today (25 October 2011). Many thanks to Insight and to Global Journeys for co-ordinating our travel itinerary. Our transfers and accommodation in London (Thistle Marble Arch) were great and we enjoyed our 5 or so days in London. The Insight 'European Heritage Tour' was one of the best spent 34 days of our life. At first I was cautious about spending 34 days touring Europe in a coach but the experience turned out to be fabulous. The coaches used by Insight are set up for 40 people rather than the 50 plus seat coaches. Plenty of leg room to lay-back when you are tired, scheduled breaks every two hours or so. Every hotel met or exceeded our expectation. Nobody could ever complain about the high standards of accommodation provided by Insight on this tour. Our tour commenced in London on 15 September with around 30 passengers, two couples were from Canada and the remainder were Aussies. Some left the tour in Athens where another 8 passengers joined us, yes, another 8 Aussies! The included tours, excursions and meals were excellent as was the included three-night Greek Island Cruise. I will be writing to Insight separately to acknowledge the great time we had. However, such times are only achieved through great planning, coordination and teamwork between Insight, the tour director and the coach driver not to mention a wonderful group of fellow passengers. Betty Griffiths, our tour director and Dino, our Italian driver, are true professionals, noteworthy organisers, good companions and great representatives for Insight. When we were approaching the Greek border from Albania we learnt that the border was closed for our coach. Betty and Insight arranged for a Greek Coach to meet us on the Greek side of the border to transfer us and our baggage for the next two days then onward to Athens. The paper work needed for our coach to cross the border to Greece could not be processed because the public servants were on a 48 hour strike. As you are probably aware the Greek Government has imposed severe austerity measures because of the EU monetary crises. At first it looked as though we would have to take our bags off our coach and trolley them 850 metres down the road (being no-man's land between the Albanian and Greek border). Alas, Betty convinced the Albanian Police to drive her down to the Greek border and then got permission to drive our coach down the 850 metres of road to make the baggage transfer much easier. How easy was that? Dino had to stay with his coach in Albania for the duration of the two day strike in Greece. He ultimately met up with us in Athens. Upon arrival at our first night in Greece (Ioannina) one couple received sad news of the death of a close family member and they needed to urgently return to Australia. Their timely return would not have been possible without Betty Griffiths. At short notice Betty went to unprecedented lengths to coordinate their departure from Greece, albeit during a 48 hour general strike. A truly remarkable tour director! Betty and Dino should be commended, they were just great. On another day, when leaving Athens, we were passing the Greek Parliament, red traffic light and the coach was surrounded by about 300 protesting students. No panic, five or so minutes delay and off again. All of these exciting extras at no extra charge! What more could you ask? Finally a big thanks to Yvonne Brooks at Global Journeys for all of her help in organising this wonderful trip, we had such a great time. The standard of service and follow up to every question that I raised was quickly satisfied. We received all of our travel documents on time. Global Journeys were very efficient. Who said that great holidays cannot be successfully organised on the internet? I will be recommending Global Journeys to all of our friends.

4 Day The Best Of Southern England - (Globus Coach Tour)

Wow! Absolutely amazing tour of South West England and Wales. We were fully informed at every step of the way onto our tour. Our tour guide Ann Marie was immaculate in her presentation and her delivery of the patter and tour information. It was like being on a cruiseliner, not that I have ever been (but would love to). Her knowledge, personal attention to detail and the level of assistance she imparted to us was par excellence. Our driver Laurie was superb and well acquitted for the role. He drove with safety and finesse on the open (wriggly English) roads and inside each town and village. Nothing was left to chance and we felt part of a happy family right at the outset. We met some wonderful friends early in the tour. The Brits know how to run a fully catered tour, and this company and the immaculate planning schedule they provided us was beyond any other tour we have been on. We learnt a great deal about British history, the royal hatches, matches and dispatches, the general countryside and the purpose behind many of our English terms of reference. We would like to thank Globus for the tremendous effort they have put in to make this one of the best ever trips we have ever had. We would highly recommend a Globus organised tour to any of our friends and family. The add on London excursion to the live performance of Wicked was a bit of a letdown and we were quite disappointed at the end of a superb four day tour. Our London coach departed our meeting point twenty minutes later than the stated time. Then we were informed the restaurant opened half hour later on Saturday, which meant we had to rush through and eat our three course meal hurriedly and did not receive our complimentary coffee. The stall seating in the theatre was average and not as we were lead to believe. Overall a very uneventful and sadly lacking part of our whole experience in London, and more so that it was at the end of a highly successful and enjoyable tour of South West England.

19 Day European Treasures - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

I was very happy with the services and advice provided by Global Journeys and your tour consultant, Yvonne Brooks. I'll definately recommend Global Journeys to friends and family. The European Treasures Tour, overall was good, including the ferry, tour guide, the coach and the drive. Some hotels were too far from any tourist attractions, so we spent a lot of time travelling on the bus, instead of visiting the attractions. The Europa Hotel in Italy was really below standard. It was out of the way, poor service and terrible food. The Abba Hotel in Berlin was a really good quality hotel and centrally located; The Mercure Hotel in Paris was very good too, but it was a bit far from the city. The time given in Florence was far too short. After a tour with the local tour guide, which wasn't all that great, there was no free time to even visit the very famous bridge in Florence, in comparison, we had a lot more time in Rome, which seemed sufficient. I have to say that I was disappointed that a number of optional tours were cancelled, mainly because the tour guide wasn't very keen on taking us there for some unconvincing reasons. In particular, the optional tour to Montmartre in Paris was cancelled as well. This was the one of the most famous places in Paris which we really wanted to go. Most people on the tour were not aware that there was a significant amount of 'tips' we were expected to pay to the tour guide and the driver when we booked the tour. It would be great if the travellers were warned in advance of this large sum of tips expected at the end of the tour. (GJ. Tips are always optional, and we detail receomended amounts on each tour itinerary page - under FAQ's. They can also be prepaid if you wish.)

19 Day European Treasures - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

I had a good time travelling throughout Europe. Some of the side excursions that were on offer however I don't think were value for money. The night time Lido show in Paris was a total waste of money and for the extra money would have preferred to have seen the real Moulen Rouge performance. The Amsterdam visit to a fishing village and wind mill tour wasn't very good you were bused there and then just left to wonder the streets. No guide or information about the area was a bit disappointing. Some of the food stops were not really appropriate either, not sure if any of the consultants have been on the 19 day tour and actually eaten at these stops. Apart from that a good time was had by all.

23 Day Trans-American Adventure - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

Thought the tour was good. Some of the optional tours seemed to be a bit vague (the tour director didn't have the correct or enough information about some of the optional tours). I would have liked the last evening meal (an optional event) to be included in the cost, so that everyone attends. That would have given us the chance of all being together to say 'farewell'. Wouldn't it be great if 'gratuities' were included in the cost... tipping is not something Aussies want to be bothered with. A 'fun' name tag that could be worn for the first few days (optional)as it is difficult to learn everyone's name. Other than one hotel (Chicago)all the hotels were excellent! Thanks, Yvonne, you answered any questions I had promptly. (GJ: Prepaying tips is an option on all tours. If you'd prefer this, let us know and we'll include it in your quote.)

18 Day Russia & Northern Europe - (Globus Coach Tour)

We would like to thank all the staff at Global Journey's especially Georgie for all her help and quick response to our inquiries. She and Frances helped us a lot and made this tour very easy to organise the way they responded very quickly to our questions. The tour itself was one of the best tours we ever had. The hotels were great, mostly 5 stars hotels, the food was very nice especially in Russia, the guided sightseeing was excellent and are hosted by locals. The tour director Theo was a bank of knowledge all the time & provided his help to all the tour members. The driver Simon was one of the best bus drivers we ever met, he drove very carefully and was always smiling. The whole tour was a great one, and I recommend booking the optional excursions before you leave home. I recommend the North Zealand castle and country side in Denmark. My partner recommends the Wasa ship musuem in Stockholm. We both recommend the Tallin day tour as it was very nice. Most of the optional excursions are very interesting. The tour was worth every dollar we spent, the service was first class in every hotel. Thanks again and we do recommend Global Journeys if you are planning to go on tour overseas, check their website there are lots of interesting tours.

I loved the tour. The Tour Director was terrific, couldn't fault him in any way and my fellow travellers were also terrific. So much fun was had by all. Also I would like to thank Yvonne Brooks who was my Travel Consultant. She answered all my concerns and made all my travel plans so much easier without causing any pressure on me. When I decide on where to go for my next trip, Yvonne will be the one I email. Thank you Yvonne and thank you Trafalgar.

14 Day Grand Tour Of France - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

France is a beautiful and fascinating country to start with and being able to travel in comfort and with great companions is just a bonus. Our guide Simeon was the best guide we have ever had, (and we have had quite a few over the years ) with a knack of making history come alive. We were encouraged to use our very rusty school French to at least try to order our meals but usually the moment we opened our mouths the waiters reverted to English. It was wonderful to have the cuisines of each region explained beforehand and we enjoyed trying out many new things. I will never forget the early morning climb up Mont St. Michel, the Bayeux tapestry and the sad beauty of the Landing Beaches. What with the wine tasting and the visits to walled towns of stunning beauty, the area around Nice and Cannes and the majestic Alps we felt we had seen and experienced the real France. Of course there is always Paris in all its grandeur and life to finish the tour tired but exhilerated. [More+]

15 Day Grand Tour Of Britain & Ireland - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

Another great Cosmos Tour, one which will remain in our memory banks for many years. The sights of England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland were such a treat to see, the couple that we were really taken back by were the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula and The Cliffs of Moher in Ireland as the scenery was so fantastic. That is not to say that the UK was out of it , not by the least. We had a wonderful time as we toured through England Wales and Scotland, seeing castles and church's built 100's of years ago and looking for the monster known as Nessie at Loch Ness, not to forget a trip to the home of golf at St Andrews, what a thrill it was to walk upon that hallowed ground.

17 Day European Cavalcade - (Costsaver Coach Tour)

Our entire bus journey was fantasic. The tour leader Annette Suttie was full of information on every place we called into and all the sites and extras were just great. The coach driver that we had was an Italian his name was Pino Bastiano and with him in charge we all just had such a relaxing journey as far as we didn't need to worry about his driving, he was just so good. Meet lovely people and we just had a great time. If I could have one small bitch it is that the hotels don't have tea and coffee facilities in Europe and also an iron.

8 Day London to Rome Highlights - (Costsaver Coach Tour)

I will start with the positives - the quality of the hotels were very good for the price we paid, as were the included meals and breakfasts. The included tours were also good and the local guides were excellent. The optional extras were quite expensive and cost us an extra EUR1400, however we did enjoy them all so can't really complain. We found the tour director to be quite condescending and seemed to treat the passengers like children - even Georgia (9 years old) commented at one point that she felt like we were being treated like babies. I understand that a lot of people who go on tours are first time travellers, however being treated this way didnt leave a good impression. The coach was extremely cramped down the back where we ended up for the majority of the trip (in fact Georgia spent 3 days on the back seat because the tour director seemed to play favourites with some people and wouldn't enforce a seat rotation with them). This would make us highly unlikely to recommend Trafalgar in the future.

15 Day European Impressions - (Costsaver Coach Tour)

The tour guide was beyond excellent! Annette was a wealth of information, had an excellent grasp of the history of each region we visited and spoke at least 6 languages. Annette did a great job at asssiting the group to bond. I really appreciated the work that went on behind the scenes from the porters who dealt with our luggage to Annette ensuring that attractions were booked. It was a breeze not to have to line up at the gate for tickets to venues and attractoins, so much time was saved not having to queue. Not having to handle ones own luggage saved so much time and energy. The bus driver's driving abilty was impeccable, there was not one momnet when I did not feel safe. Accommodation was very good, I felt supported the whole trip. Loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone!

13 Day Europe's Highlights - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

After a minor hickup at Dover we were on our way. We had an exceptional Tour Director who was quite knowledgeable and gave us history & local knowledge of the area each day we had a great mix of people and got on well with everyone . It was a fast pace but I really think that we would not have been able to see all the wonderful places if we had not gone at that pace. I did an extra 8 optional tours and felt that this gave me just the mix to see & do what I wanted to. I have already recommended Cosmos to a few friends. Thank you to Global Journeys for all your help in making this a really wonderful tour.

23 Day Trans-American Adventure - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

Wonderful tour of a Wonderful country. Tour director France Wray and driver Don Knight worked very hard to ensure no problems, Frances kept everyone well informed. Don drove over 4,000 miles, which is a long way to be responsible for soo many peoples safety, not to mention loading cases on and off! Accomodation ranged from excellent to very good, only motel which was uncomfortable, not even a chair in the room, was Red Roof Inn in Chicago, but it was in an excellent position, so I suppose cant have everything. Breakfasts every morning would have been nice, would not have added a great deal to overall cost. Air conditioning on bus was too cold, and air vents could do with some maintenance. Not enough time in Las Vegas. So much to see, another day or two wouldnt have made much difference. Most bitter dissapointment though was being taken to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Grand Canyon is one of the wonders of the world and cant understand why you would take tourists to the North Rim.

13 Day Legendary Rhine & Moselle - (Uniworld River Cruise)

We had a fantastic holiday. The cruise was wonderful. The Uniworld cruise was so relaxing which was exactly what my husband and I both needed. The food was exceptional as were the people we met. If they need to improve anything then perhaps they could have some more night entertainment. They had a piano player playing every night, whereas most cruises offer much more. The piano player was very talented and kept us all entertained. However a change of entertainment would have been nice. The tour director was lovely as were the guides. All in all a great cruise.

15 Day Jewels Of Italy - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

Global journeys staff carried out our bookings accurately and answered all queries politely and correctly, all documents were received and payments acknowledged as stated and on time. The Jewels of Italy tour was very well organised and lived up to our expectations ,good standard of hotels were used relative to the cost of the tour. In general the optional excursions were good, sometimes the schedule was a little crowded to fit the optionals in. We enjoyed the arrangement of the tour, in particular the 4 & 3 day stays.

18 Day Northern Capitals & Russia - (Insight Vacations Coach Tour)

The Insight tour to Northern Europe Capitals and Russia was generally excellent. The Tour Director and Driver were both excellent and very caring. The Tour Director was most knowledgeable and at times humourous in her commentary. The accommodation was first class with exception of Vitebsk in Belarus which was a poor Russian concrete construction hotel with poor facilities. Meals where provided, were first class with exception of Vitebsk, where we were given our Russian ration. My greatest critisim was the local tour leader in Berlin who had great difficulty in filling in an hour let alone filling in 2 hours of the tour, given Berlin with its recent history since WW2. I received more information talking to a German man alongside the Berlin Wall. The tour guide in Vitebsk seemed to being giving the tour party the local Communist line on how good the city was and how well the people were treated by the Russians. The visit to the Marc Chagall home was a waste of time as the tour group (cut in two), rooms were so small for the tour party that crowded into the house to hear the Guides (translated from Russian) that they could not see the paintings/photographs on the walls. The Chagall Museum and its etchings were not generally appreciated by the tour party and it had a limited appeal to audiences. It appeared the visits to the Chagall locations were a fill-in as there was nothing better to see in Vitebsk. By comparision the visit to Vilnius, with a similiar history to Vitebsk, was brilliant. Overall the tour was both educational and entertaining and the tour group mixed very well to make a happy time. Would highly recommend Insight tours.

We had a wonderful time - our Tour Director Matthew Bell and Driver Andy were fantastic. Matthew was so knowledgeable and really polite and obliging. Andy was a wonderful driver and deliverer of luggage etc. The coach was always clean but the air conditioning was not working for the last part of the trip when the temperatures were really high and we were all sick with a flu bug working it's way around the coach, the lack of cool air was most distressing to all of the passengers and the crew. 10 Day Best of Italy - (Insight Vacations Coach Tour)

This was the very first bus tour my husband and I had experienced. My husband had alawys said he would not go on one. Well he has now changed his mind. We had a wonderful tour. It was hectic but enjoyable and we saw all that we wanted. Our tour guide Belinda Richardson was an absolute gem. So knowledgeable and enthusiastic, we could not have had better. The bus with it extra legroom was much appreciated and the hotels generally were more than acceptable. The only hiccup was in Assisi, the meal was awful everyone complained, but all the rest were magnificent (not good for the waistline). So thank you Global Journeys for a wonderful trip. 16 Day Eastern US & Canada Grand Vacation with New York Extension - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

The tour covered the main places of interest with plenty of free time to do your own thing. The Tour Director was pretty laid back and I thought could have been a bit more energetic in getting the group to interact with each other, for example, there was no get together to introduce everyone to each other, there was no group photo, there was no group dinner at the conclusion of the tour. However, having said that, there was also no pressure to do all the optional extras (on previous tours I have done there has been a lot of pressure to do all the optional extras which can be quite tiring). Some of the motels we stayed at were a bit dated (70's decor) but reasonably comfortable. On the whole, I enjoyed the tour (especially not being pressured to do more than I wanted to) and would probably go with this tour company again. My dealings with Global Journeys (Georgie) was easy, pleasant and efficient for which I would like to thank you.

8 Day Highlights of the Canyonlands - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

Even though the tour seemed to be fully booked when I requested it at short notice, Yvonne managed to get me on the tour. Within a few days all of my trip was organised and paid for. My documentation arrived on time and I was set. All went without a hitch, except for the small hiccup for the pre-night accommodation when I arrived at the Tropicana hotel. This was all sorted within an hour by the team at Global. The tour was great. Everything I expected, but wished there was more time in some of the places we visited - especially in the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley and Bryce Canyon. All in all, it was a pleasure to deal with Global Journeys.

15 Day Treasures of Turkey - (Insight Vacations Coach Tour)

We were very happy with our tour of Turkey. It was the best organised tour that we have done. The hotels were excellent except the Dederman in Cappadocia. Rashid our tour guide was the best with his extensive knowledge and sense of humour, he got us to the sights, museums etc. at the right times so we didn't have to cue. It was the first tour that I have done where the tour guide has given his phone no and room no to us. We were very happy with Yvonne's help in booking this tour for us. Thank you all very much.

11 Day The Best Of Italy - (Globus Coach Tour)

This tour could not be faulted - from start with the online booking consultants throught to the tour itself. There was not one 'glitch' from start to finish. The Tour Doumentation sent prior to departure was excellent, accurate & helpful. The Tour Guide was sensational with knowledge, helpfulness & cheer. The local guides used in parts were great also. Hotels were first class in location, comfort & cleanliness. Some hotel included meals were not the best but made up for by the 'optional excursions' like a lunch in Burano, A ventian night out, Tuscan dinner. Even though it was a coach tour there was plenty of walking & rests with 'time off' to either rest, shop or whatever. Touring is the only way to go as everything is organised to get the maximum benifit of seeing as much as possible within the time frame. In short - sensational & would do again!

All in all this was a great tour. I was a bit over the indigenous art. Far too much emphasis for my liking. A fantastic, pleasant and knowlegable guide, the accomodation, safari tents were fabulous especially Bell Gorge, El Questro and Hawk Dreaming. HVS accomodation, would have liked the bungalows better, but ok, and food over all was pretty good too. There were very few dissapointments we were kept busy throughout the tour. We would love to see a bird watching tour through their regions.

12 Day The Best Of Britain & Ireland - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

We had a great time in the UK and Ireland, the weather was kind to us. It would rain while we were on the coach but when we had a scheduled stop the Cosmos Angels shone upon us and the sun would come out! They must have a divine connection up stairs ! Our tour director (Marvin) was a mine of information and local knowledge and made everything run smoothly. Ted (our driver) was excellent and navigated his way through some narrow lanes with great expertise. We had a great bunch of fellow travelers ranging from the USA, New Zealand, Canada and fellow Australians. We cannot speak highly enough of the service provided by the Cosmos group and also the pre-trip organisation done by Global Journeys unlike some agents for our fellow travelers, some of whom had hotel problems post tour. We would highly recommend Global Journeys to any travellers wanting to book tours such as ours.

13 Day Totem Circle - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

Our Canadian Totem Circle Tour was a wonderful trip, it included coach, ferries and train travel, we experienced all modes of transport. The driver and courier were both excellent, the accommodations were very comfortable, large 2 double bed rooms. The Canadian scenery is breathtaking, pine forests, snow covered mountains, beautiful lakes and rivers. Highlights of our trip were Stanley Park in Vancouver, the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, the First Nations Cultural Excursion & Museum in Prince Rupert, the trip to the Athabasca Glacier, Maligne Lake and Banff. We were also lucky to see 2 wild grizzlies and 2 black bears, an elk, many bald eagles, other birds, chipmunks and squirrels along the way. Meals were not included on the tour but this gave us the chance to try many and varied places, eating out is cheaper than Australia and we had some great seafood dishes, we particularly like the Halibut, a local fish that is delicious. All in all we had a great time and met some lovely people, it has given us a small taste of Canada and we would like to see more in the future.

Initially we had a problem with getting our itinerary before the start of the tour. We received it 1 week prior to us leaving. It did take a few phone calls on our part to Yvonne (our tour consultant). Yvonne sorted it out with Trafalagar. Yvonne did finally receive the tour documents along with a letter of apology from Traflagar Tours for the mix up. The tour itself (Rockies Panorama with Alaska Cruise) was faultless. Everything ran very smoothly. Attractions and the tour director, Anne were great. Accomodation and our bus driver were terrific. I cannot speak highly enough of our bus driver, Virginia. She too was very knowledgable and so friendly and accomodating. I highly recommend Trafalgar Tours and their staff. From rested & relaxed travellers.

18 Day Canadian & Alaskan Masterpiece - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

Hi. How can we list the so many fantastic scenes, colours and people we saw and met. The train, coach and accommodation were exceptional. The tour director (Lynda Brown) was very knowledgeable of the areas we visited and was very organized. We had a good mix of stop off points for photos as well as rest breaks and rest days. I believe we were very lucky with our weather as we only had a couple of hours of rain on the first day as we were leaving Vancouver on the train, I believe the average temperature was around 28c each day. A couple of side tours we did were awesome, this included a helicoptor ride over the Rockies at Banff and a floatplane trip over Whistler. Both were fantastic in their own way as the colours and mountain shapes were different. The extra accommoodation we had (1 day at either end of the tour) was well worth it as we were able to see the sights of Vancouver at our leisure. The cruise part of the trip was not so kind in the weahter department as we were at the end of the summer and we had a considerable amount of rain. We did some side excursions which consisted of, Tracy Arm Glacier Tour and were pleasantly surprised at the scenery and colours even with an overcast sky. We were also very lucky to meet a pod of 25 whales when we going up to Juneau on the cataraman. We were looking at them for around 20 minutes. While in Skagway we did the train tour to White Horse Pass, wery misty and wet but enjoyed the experience. Seeing the exceptional harsh areas (and very scenic views) where miners had to endure the hardship of travelling over the mountains was worth the ride. Glacier Bay was our next on ship experience, a little disappointed (mainly because we had the experience of Tracy Arm) with the colourlessness of the area, but again it was an incredible experience. Ketchikan was interesting (did some shopping). Weather set in early but all of our sightseeing was well and truely finished. The inside passage cruising was a photographers delight in the variety of sights, colours & many wildlife sightings. Would and have thoroughly recommended this trip to all my friends and any other people I meet. Only had a couple of hiccups, departing the ship did not go too smooth as we docked 1/2 hr late and on the return plane trip I had a problem. When we go back, we think it will be for around a month and drive around the areas we would like to visit again but for a longer time. The whole trip was a good taste of what to go back for. The organising of our requests for airline, extra accomm was done by your staff with great expertise and hope to use your services again.

15 Day Cosmopolitan Europe - (Cosmos Coach Tour)

From the first moment I emailed Global Journeys about the Cosmopolitan Europe tour by Cosmos I knew I had made the right choice, all my questions, no matter how silly, where quickly and pleasently answered. The tour was exactly what was stated on website, very much a highlight tour of Europe, great for the first timer, a great overview of the main cities. Optionals offered where a great way to see a extra bit of that particular place. Made some great friends as the other tour goers where from all parts of the world (USA, England, NZ, Asia) and all different age groups. Hotels where very basic and sometimes quite far from the city centre. Overall had a great time and would recommend to anyone wanting a glance at Europe on a budget. I would travel with Cosmos again and will definatly be booking again through Global Journeys.

9 Day Spanish Wonder - (Trafalgar Coach Tour)

We are seasoned travellers who have always organised our travels based on good research where the car has been our main mode of travel. So we approached the Spanish Wonder Tour with a mixture of both apprehension and curiosity. It wasn't long, though, before we became aware of how memorable and special - and all for the right reasons - that this tour was going to be. Our well-informed, very personable, humorous and extremely helpful and professional guide was enough to ensure a very enjoyable and worthwhile tour. The added bonus, however, of quality local guides and a very pleasant and safe coach driver who provided such a comfortable drive made this a very special tour that certainly well exceeded our expectations. Everything about the tour from the accommodation and group dinners to the scheduled time in the centres visited was carefully organised to guarantee a successful tour for all involved. Well done, Trafalgar.
