Township of Hahndorf - Since its first German settlement in 1839, the town has never lost touch with its inner German. Many residents are in fact, descendents from the first settlement – Prussians escaping religious persecution, and have carried on their family business generation after generation.

Township of Mannum - an historic town on the Murray River, 84 kilometres east of Adelaide. The first settlement in the area was in 1840 and the first ship (a side-wheel paddle steamer) was launched in 1852. A shipbuilding industry continued until into the 20th century. The first day lunch can be purchased in Mannum - The Pretoria offers Bistro style meals overlooking the river or the local bakery offers cappuccino and cafe style lunches.

The Paddle Steamer Marion - is a fully restored heritage vessel built in 1897 and is the last operational, heritage, steam driven, wood fired, overnight passenger carrying side paddle steamer in the world. Whilst idle and moored PS Marion is showcased as an integral part of the Mannum Dock Museum including inspection of the galley, dining room, lounges and cabin accommodation.
