Available exclusively to Travelmarvel passengers, this highly regarded cruise vessel is renowned for its superb onboard experience. The MS Johann Strauss has distinguished itself as a premium river ship thanks to its highly successful European river cruises; superb accommodation; stylish facilities and dedicated staff providing seamless onboard service. Built in 2004 and refurbished in 2011, the MS Johann Strauss features 90 staterooms and has a limited number of passengers to maximise overall space onboard. The atmosphere onboard is friendly and informal and within days you will have made new friends in the open-seating restaurant, during the small group shore excursions or whilst relaxing in the comfortable public areas on board.

Spacious Staterooms
Each spacious stateroom is built facing the outside of the ship, so you’ll have superb views of the passing scenery wherever you stay. Over 60 staterooms feature a French balcony with a sliding glass door, for enjoying fresh air from the privacy of your gracious retreat. Well-planned and smartly furnished, each stateroom has individual climate control, a television, telephone, minibar, safe, hairdryer, radio, and a well-appointed ensuite bathroom.
Every stateroom is equipped with monitor, keyboard with Internet access, English language TV stations, a large movie selection and numerous music programs. Our satellite telephone system allows you to call home for a nominal fee.

With a relaxing café, a 24-hour tea and coffee station and floor-to-ceiling windows, the Main Lounge is a tasteful area in which to unwind. At the front of the ship, the lounge is the perfect indoor area to take in the approaching sights. By night, it hosts a range of entertainment and musical performances as well as lectures.

The MS Johann Strauss’ fine dining restaurant provides the sumptuous food, style and grace of a world-class establishment. Early morning pastries, a buffet-style breakfast, a hearty lunch, afternoon tea, a four-course dinner and a late-night supper are provided each day.
During your cruise, wine, beer and soft drinks are included with your evening meal, so you can appraise the local flavours with your drink of choice. If you’re feeling peckish after dinner, snacks are available in the café in the late evening.
Relax on the Sun Deck
Offering 360º views, the spacious Sun Deck is a perfect place to unwind onboard and watch daily life on the banks of the river. Take in the approaching sights, catch some sun and relax on the deck’s recliners.
