 Kirra Holidays was established in Adelaide, South Australia and the first tour for Australian school students to New Zealand operated in August 1968.

Children's Discounted Rates
Children are most welcome on a Kirra holiday and it is a great learning and family fun opportunity. Whilst children's costs are based on sharing with 2 adult fare paying travellers and must be on the same Meal basis. In the event of only one adult travelling, the adult must pay the single supplement for children's prices to apply. Please note that whilst Kirra Holidays will accept reservations for up to 2 adults and 2 children to share the one room, room size in some hotels is restricted and 3rd and 4th beds are likely to be rollaway style. Whilst the savings are substantial, some comprimise is made in regards to comfort. Note also that any pre/post tour accommodation is subject to the hotels policy on children's ages therefore check with Global Journeys for any pre/post tour rates when children are included in your reservation. For Adults wishing to travel with children under 2 years of age must apply to Global Journeys for travel confirmation.
Festive Season
Kirra Holidays is one of the few companies to recognise the very special Christmas and New Year Festivities. On Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, Kirra Holidays will host a Cocktail Party for all tour members and where hotels offer special menus, cover any additional cost for those with the Dinner Supplement included.

Once full payment for your tour has been received by Global Journeys & Kirra Holidays, the price is guaranteed not to change.
Flexibility
All itineraries can be broken into modules to suit your specific needs. Many travellers break their journey to visit friends or to enjoy other activities such as the Milford Track Guided Walk before rejoining a later tour. These arrangements are easily made at the time of booking and no cost surcharges are imposed.
Travelling Alone
A coach tour holiday is ideal if you are travelling alone; a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. Kirra Holidays travellers are made up of couples and single travellers from all age groups and walks of life. We do not disadvantage the individual. Should you prefer a guaranteed single room, payment of the single supplement is necessary. Alternatively, as a single traveller paying the twin share price, Kirra Holidays will match you with another traveller of the same gender or provide a single room at no extra cost. Compatibility cannot be guaranteed and this offer is conditional on acceptance of this factor and no smoking in your bedroom regardless of the hotels policy on this subject. Travellers on a request twin share basis may secure a single room whilst on tour, subject to availability and payment of the applicable surcharge. Supplementary pre and post tour accommodation is at the single occupancy price. When choosing this option you must also consider your fellow traveller so if you have any conditions which may affect your fellow travellers sleep or comfort in the shared room this option may not be the best solution for your touring holiday.
Triple Discount
For 3 people booking together and sharing the same room a 5% discount applies to the tour content. Pre and post tour prices are readily available on request to Global Journeys. Please note most room configurations are double or twin in which case the third bed is likely to be a rollaway. Four adults sharing is not possible.
Extend your stay
Many travellers choose to spend an extra day or two in New Zealand immediately before or after their tour to more fully explore the gateway cities. Without exception this proves to be a most positive addition to any itinerary. Each city offers its own unique attractions such as museums, galleries, markets, tours and shopping precincts. Global Journeys will reserve this accommodation at discounted rates plus provide a complimentary Airport transfer.

Large vista windows, armchair style seating, ample leg room, the latest in stereo and public address systems and air bag suspension all combine to ensure your travelling comfort. In addition, our vehicles are fastidiously maintained in our partner companies own workshop to ensure you have a safe and troublefree journey.
