I just got back from the my tour and here are my thoughts. I understand that arrving into Frankfurt is easier because of the airport, but if you could fly into Berlin and start the tour there & finish there you would get more time in Berlin or one of the other lovely cities that we visited. The hotels we stayed at were fine. I didn't mind them being a little out of town, as it gave me more of a chance to explore and get some exercise! The breakfasts included were great, as well as some of the dinners. Probaby spent a little too much time in the small towns enroute to the bigger ones. Having said that some of the smaller towns we stopped at e.g Brun, were hidden treasures. The optional tours available were a great mix. I didn't do many of them, but the ones I did do were good. Overall the tour was good value for money and gave me enough flexibility to do my own exploring.
